The Chase And The Enchanted Scroll

-Yunlan-

"The Yěshòu Shù? You had to be kidding me, right? That's nothing more than an old legend." Zhao whisper to Shen just a short distance from his blushing face. He was secretly enjoying been on top of him, because the prince was flawless so far and his inner perverted side was having the best time of his life with that instant hit. Shen Wei, however, was too serious to be discourage by some shameless advances, that he found himself not minding them at all.

"Zhao Yunlan, the beast tree is more than a legend, it's quite real and deadly to all living things. I assure you, the Moon City that keep it sealed exist somewhere in the sky." Shen said, as the airship suddenly moved up, making both Zhao and him slide from the bed to floor.

Zhao was even more pleased as the prince reflexed were quite good, despite him been sick, because in a fraction of a second, Wei had manage to put his hand in the back of his head, to prevent him from hitting it with the floor, while falling atop him this time.

For a second, they look at each other as if on trance and Wei inclined his head a bit more, making his long hair fall at both sides of his lovely face, reducing Zhao's vision of the rest of his room, only been able to see him. He wished the handsome devil had dare to kiss him right there, but instead, he sighed.

"Are you okay? You didn't hit your head, right?" Wei asked, siting on his lap. Ah, this was more fun that he expected, Zhao thought as his heart raced even faster.

"How could I have hit my head when you prevent it so wonderfully?" Zhao asked back, enjoying seen the handsome prince blush again.

"Never mind that... I have the feeling you are hopelessly..." The ship move in a more upright angle, once again making them slide further and Shen, still over Zhao's lap, pull him up with one hand and the other passing over his shoulder to stop their advance with his free hand, instead of Zhao's back over the wall. This time Zhao smiled at Shen, who avoided his gaze.

"Wow, you are such a hero..." Zhao laughed.

"Hey, stop teasing... I seriously need your help." Shen try for him to focus back on their previous topic, which he somehow managed to make it happen.

"No one had ever found the Moon City. I have been flying all around the world for several years, as well as hundreds of captains and none of us have come close to a phantom city in the sky. The place simply is either invisible or beyond where our airships can brought us." Zhao said.

Then, Shen Wei looked at him with such a serious expression that make Zhao swallow in dread. The prince was definitely talking about something he believed exited, despite never been found, nor being more than an old legend from ancient times, in which immortals interacted on earth.

"There is a very special magical compass that can guide anyone in their possession to the Moon City. That is the reason the imperials are after me and now, after your airship." The prince said, making Zhao widen his eyes in even more surprise. He couldn't possible be in possession of a legendary tool.

"That's a lie... you can't possibly have it with you. The magical compass was destroyed ages ago by the immortals, or so the tale said." Zhao said, now quite serious.

"The magical compass was indeed broken, as it was too dangerous to keep it whole. The four pieces where hidden and sealed in the most dangerous parts of the world. We dragons were chosen as keepers of the magic scroll that points at the locations of all the parts, although right now not even I can access the information contained inside. Still, I have the scroll with me, which is why the Imperials are after me. That's why I need your help... Zhao Yunlan, if they got their hands on it, we are all doom." Shen said more seriously, yet Zhao still find it hard to believe, but then again maybe the matter was indeed more daring that he initially thought.

"No offence my prince, but I find it hard to believe, although you look trustworthy..."

"I can give you proof..."

"Then show me..." But then again, the airship moved, this time down and with such speed that both of them, begin to float in the air, along with most things inside his room, as if there was no gravity.

Shen Wei, who was already feeling dizzy for the blood loss and the poison, became even sicker with the sudden lack of his gravity center and looked like he was going to throw up, for which Zhao pulled the prince back to him, to put a hand over his flat stomach, to use his healing magic over it, right there in middle air, which make him feel better almost instantly.

"Hey, such a handsome hero can't be throwing up in times like this..." Zhao joked.

"Just how reckless is your crew? This is all way too is insane!" Zhao laughed, as they floated up to the ceiling of his sleeping quarter, which was a bit bigger than normal, giving Zhao enough space to use his wings.

"Insanity is what we do best, my prince. I thought that was what you were looking for... I mean, the most dangerous places around the world are quite... well, dangerous and not just anyone will be willing to go. I'm assuming that you are searching for the pieces of the compass." Zhao spread out his long black wings, to keep them in place.

"Well yes. Because of some unforseen matters, they had already found one piece. We can't allow them to find the other three. I'm willing to give you as much as you ask me." Zhao looked at the prince more seriously now.

"We can talk about payment later..." Zhao said, deeply looking at the prince as they floated in the middle of the room. "What I need now is..." The ship moved up again, making everything fall, however as Zhao was already using his wings, he carefully placed the prince on the chaotic floor. Shen Wei closed his eyes for a second, trying to fight another wave of sickness, but the reckless captain have a good hold on him.

"Shen Wei..." Zhao held him more firmly, as the prince looked even paler.

"I will fine... if you are willing to help me, I guess I need to get use to this sudden change in altitude and directions. Are you willing, captain Zhao? I will show you my proof that everything I said before is true. Just assure me that this airship will be able to lose the Imperials and I will show you a world you never thought existed."

"I give you my word that the Black Fury will not fall into Imperial hands. You can trust both me and my crew on that."

"Alright, that's good enough for me. Stay back..." Shen Wei said as he used a bit of the blood on his arm and wrote dragon symbols in the floor, He felt as a strong barrier covered the entire ship, as the eyes of the prince shining red once more. Then, he took out a small scroll from inside his bloody robe, open it in the floor and use a kind of ice magic over it, making the image in the scroll flicker. Zhao looked at the exquisite painting with curiosity, the surface was now moving as if it was made of water.

"Do you believe me now?" Shen Wei asked as he extended his right hand to him.

"Well, of course..." Zhao responded taking the warm hand of the prince. "Just, was the barrier really necessary? I told you my airship will not be caught." Zhao moved closer and Wei smiled charmingly at him, making his heart jump a beat.

"The barrier is not meant to protect this airship from Imperials, but from the scroll itself. You will see..." Wei said as he pulled Yunlan to him and jumped over the extended scroll, both of them disappearing inside of it in a blink of an eye.

After that, Zhao Yunlan found himself in another place, another world far away from his airship or the chase. He looked around, to try to gain some familiarity with the place. They were standing in a rock, right in the middle of a huge lake that have a small traditional pagoda in the middle, surrounded by a very beautiful sakura tree in full bloom. If he looked up, the sky was blue and he could see exotic bird flying around, not to mention a snake like dragon high above and if he looked down, he could see big koi fishes, swimming around with their multiple colors.

On the horizon there were Pillar Mountains, with some greenery giving it a warm feeling, the water crystal clear reflected the sky and the air with the scent of wild flowers. It was by all mean an enchanted scenery taken from a Zen painting. He looked at the prince, which smiled at him before taking his hand and guide him toward the stony path, to the enchanted pagoda in which a bigger scroll floated.

"Ah, this feels like a date..." Zhao joked and Shen smiled some more.

"It's quite beautiful, but also deadly. Only those with the right blood can escape with the secret. If you attempt to open the real scroll in the middle of the pagoda, you will be kill instantly by the guarding dragon . I only had half the blood, for which I can access the keeping place but not really able to open it. Only with the king of dragon's blood, you can look at the content of the scroll." Shen Wei explained.

"Then how did the Imperials find one piece of the compass, when not even you can't fully access the scroll." Zhao asked with even more curiosity.

"My father came inside this place a very long time ago, when he was younger, just out of curiosity. He have a look at the scroll, only to the first piece and told someone he trusted about it. Obviously, that someone betrayed his trust not so long ago and the information was sale to the Imperials. My father then, wanted to relocate the scroll to a safer place, but as you can guess, it went all down to hell and leaved me right in the middle of the mess." Shen said, turning to look at the captain. Maybe it was the scenery, or the fact that the man in front of him was enchanting on his own way, but his heart beat faster at the magnificent sight.

"Are you beginning to like what you see?" Zhao joked and Shen Wei blushed like mad, making Zhao laugh.

"Are you going to help me then?" Shen Wei asked back, ignoring his own embarrassment for being caught off guard for a second.

"How can I refuse such a noble request? You got yourself a crazy captain and his reckless crew, third dragon prince Shen Wei." Zhao said, bowing to him, making Wei quite pleased.

"Okay, let's just get out of here before..." But then again, the whole place seems to shake, probably because the scroll moved to one side of Yunlan's sleeping room and the enchanted thing was influence by those movement outside, making both of them fall to the clear water. Once Zhao surface, he laughed. The water was just right and honestly the prince needed some cleaning for both, get rid of all the traces of his blood and to lower his fever.

"Don't laugh, this is not funny..." Shen Wei said, as he pulled himself out of the water and into one of the rocks. Still Yunlan took a few seconds to admire him, all wet and beautiful like the lovely place under the sun and hoped with all his might to have even a small chance with him, then he smiled mischievously.

"What? You are not really going to take advantage of a sick prince, right?" Shen added.

"No, but I know the price I will ask of you." Zhao said, pulling himself to the rock next to him.

"Nothing perverted right?" Shen asked curiously. He was beginning to know the mischievous man.

"Nope, not perverted..." Zhao responded offering his hand to the prince to help him stand.

"Then what?" Shen Wei asked innocently, accepting the help offered.

"Only a single kiss, after this is all over..." Soon after, Zhao found himself back to the water as Shen Wei push him back, still he laughed even more. This was one hell of a job he was truly going to enjoy.
