The Trouble

"Right! How could I forget about this?!" Lliw exclaimed feeling a shred of hope. His eyes burned with vitality.

" ( Summon Minion )!" Lliw said aloud and a warrior clad in full body armor appeared infront of him.

" Attack!" Lliw ordered.

The squirrels saw the warrior and decided to stop playing around.

They all simultaneously launched themselves at the warrior summon.

The warrior realized the danger and performed a sweeping attack with its blade.

"-15" "-15" "-15" "-15" "-15" "-15"

The damage appeared above each of the squirrels heads.

The squirrels were all knocked back by the impact of the attack.

When the summoned warrior dealt damage to the squirrels, Lliw was finally able to see their information.

Lliw nearly fell over and died due to the regret he felt.

He had been too cowardly.

These things were very weak, much weaker than himself even.

" Too much caution is cowardice Indeed.." he thought ruefully.

He clumsily held his sword arose his chest and jumped onto one of the squirrels, piercing the animal on its torso.

"-20 (triggered special effects: bleeding)"

" Hehe" He laughed elatedly and used his injured foot to kick the squirrel onto a rock.

Lliw was quite disturbed by the site of the bloody carcass of the squirrel so he turned to look at the summoned warrior only to catch it skillfully pierce it's sword through all the squirrels' bodies.

Watching the squirrels simultaneously lose all signs of life and the summoned warrior's indifference, Lliw shuddered and silently hoped he could never become such a person.

He stood still and silently took in what had just occurred.

He had already received the notice about his level promotion.

He sighed exhaustedly and left, although he was hurt, he didn't feel too good being close to the remains of the squirrels- it was a gruesome sight.

The two walked until Lliw encountered a brown deer-like animal except it was a bit smaller than your average deer and had way more fur.

" Baa!" The deer turned into a brown blur as it charged at the duo.

Lliw had no time to react and could only helplessly watch as the deer crashed headfirst into his vulnerable stomach with a speed that was many times greater than that of a cheetah, those horns on it's head looked exceptionally sharp too.

" Fuck!" he cursed in his mind, why was everything here out for his life?

Lliw instinctively closed his eyes as he waited for the impact.

After waiting for a few seconds and only to find himself alive, he awkwardly opened his eyes only to find the deer staked on the summoned warrior's sword.

"…"

Lliw's eyes twitched- a little out of disbelief and a little out of annoyance.

What was up with this summoned warrior and it's love for impaling things?

The summoned warrior didn't show any emotion and just silently stared at him but Lliw could feel a deep disdain behind the gaze, it made him blush awkwardly and reminded him of the moment when he instinctively closed his eyes in resignation when he was ambushed by the deer.

Lliw felt hungry but he didn't have any fire making abilities so he regretfully stared at the deer before he left with the summoned warrior.

The duo walked on until they found a small pond.

" Finally!" Lliw exclaimed.

He examined the area a little bit and judging from the footprints on the ground, people did indeed pass by.

He washed the dried blood off himself and followed the trail of footprints.

A all popping sound entered Lliw's ears which prompted him to sit down near the pond.

He waited for 5 minutes before using his spells gain.

The summoned minion could only exist for 30 minutes before being unsummoned and after that, it had a 5 minute spell cool down.

The 2 carried on through the forest until they came into a mountain pass.

" halt!"

Lliw came to a stop when he saw 2 figures standing before him.

" hello, we mean no harm. We're just looking for the way back to the City." Lliw said.

Before him stood 2 burly men in leather armor.

" Yeah whatever just turn back boy, this isn't a place you can just casually go to."

One of the burly men said impatiently, shoo-ing him away.

" Well can you at least show me the correct path to the city" Lliw said, ignoring the other party's discourtesy.

" Boy you're still here? Didn't you hear what I said? Leave now before I lose my patience" The burly man threateningly put his hand on his sword hilt.

" Aren't you guys being too unreasonable?" Lliw said with displeasure.

" if you're not going to show me the way then let me pass there and I'll find it myself."

" Well… it seems you've got some backbone huh. However, you shouldn't Mistake our kindness for weakness." The other burly man spoke and walked over and tried to grab Lliw's shirt.

As he extended his arm, a rushing sound came into his ears and he hurriedly pulled his hand back.

" tsk, so bold." The man said with a despicable smile as he looked at the summoned warrior who had reared up for another attack.

" Hey boy, keep your subordinate in check or I'll do it for for you." The man easily caught the sword in between his index and middle fingers.

" Stand down" Lliw said to the summoned warrior. He hadn't actually ordered it to attack. It had sensed malice from the burly man and acted on its own.

" Smart kid" the man said and let go of the sword.

" now, what do you want?"

" We got lost in the forest and we want to find out way back to the city" Lliw said.

" do you really expect us to believe that?" the man looked at Lliw mockingly.

" what do you mean?" Lliw asked feeling that something was quite off.

" hehe, Boy tell us who you really are or you're not leaving here alive." The burly man lost his despicable smile and was replaced by a deathly scowl.
