The Lunch

"hahaha" The branch manager covered her hand over her mouth as she laughed at the dissatisfied young man sitting across her.

Lliw gritted his teeth at the beauty sitting across him.

She had asked him about his day and when he told her, she just laughed at him.

"Ok ok. I'm sorry. You're just too cute when you're angry" she laughed and patted his head cutely.

"Hmph." He snorted and pushed away her hand.

"Oww... How could you treat a beauty like this?" She said pitifully while rubbing her hand although it didn't pain at all. He just gently flicked it off.

'you're quite vain" he rolled his eyes at her.

"Nope this is just self awareness." She countered.

"..." Lliw just felt defeated.

" Anyway, give me tomorrow off. I've got some place I need to be" He said.

"Alright. I told you that you don't need to come here everyday" She pointed out.

"Lies!" He retorted. Infact it was her who said she was too short on manual labour so he offered to help her as much as he could.

"😋" She stuck her tongue out cutely.

" 🤦" He facepalmed in resignation. What could he say when she was acting so cute.

"Alright, you can take your pay from your section manager when you leave." She said.

" Erm, since when did I start getting payed?" He asked strangely.

" Just now. I am the boss after all" she laughed.

"Besides, I am happy with your work."

"Whatever. " He stood up to leave.

" You don't have to work today" she said with a gentle tone.

"Oh, ok." He was rather taken aback by her gentle tone but he ignored it and returned to his Dorm.

"Ugh, I forgot that it's a Friday. Those bastards are probably getting drunk somewhere" Lliw muttered as he saw the empty Dorm room. He went to have a shower before going on his laptop to watch some tutorial videos and finally going to bed.

That was the first full sleep he'd had in nearly a month. He didn't even hear his Dorm buddies returning half dead in the morning. They were so drunk that their bodies were moving only on instinct. It was the famed "ultra-instinct" from an old Anime he used to watch.

The darkness was filled up by the light as day overtook the night.

He woke up all supercharged.

"..." He was speechless when he saw the 4 drunk idiots on the floor.

"Whatever, I'm going to ignore all this" he said not wanting to spoil his good mood. He went to have a shower before leaving for the library.

He studied his material for a few hours before leaving just before lunch. During the time, Kim and Denise also arrived. They greeted him and went in to study their own things.

Lliw walked into an aged apartment complex. He already knew where old man Mu lived. He climbed up to the highest floor. Old man Mu lived in the highest floor and everyday, he climbed up and down 6 floors. Although he did so, he didn't get any problems even though he complained about his bones, he was quite healthy.

When Lliw arrived by the old man's door, he found a letter stuck to it.

Come to that famous restaurant near the beach... I can't remember the name. My son is treating us there "

Lliw smiled wryly as he read the letter. This was so like old man Mu. He folded the letter and put in his pocket. The beach wasn't too far from where he was but it would still take some time to get there so he called a taxi and rode it there.

He knew what the most famous restaurant in the beach side was. It was a restaurant called <Fisherman's Delight> and was famous all over the country and sea food lovers all over the world. The good thing about it was that it wasn't exclusive. No matter which social standing you were from, you could dine here so long as you had the money and had booked in advance.

The security was tight but not to the point that it would disturb the customers. Lliw walked to the entrance where he was stopped by a guard.

"May I see your reservation ticket, sir." The guard said politely yet with an unquestionable tone.

" ... "

Suddenly, it struck him that he didn't have a ticket. Old man Mu must have forgotten about it too since he probably didn't know about it either.

"May I see your Ticket, Sir" The guard asked again but with a little more force in his voice.

"Uhm ... I don't have it" Lliw said while pursing his lips in embarrassment.

"This entrance is for Dining customers only. If you are here for a different purpose then please use one of the other entrances" The guard said.

"N-no I'm Here to Din-" Lliw wanted to explain when suddenly, there came an annoying cackle behind him.

"Horhorhor" He turned back to see a young man around his age dressed in stylish clothing. He had his arms around 2 Blonde women who were practically falling on him by the way they were sticking to him.

"Look my little beauties, Here's a peasant making an ass of himself, I tell you they try every little scheme they can think of to enter this place." He said while casting a despising glance at Lliw.
