The Idiot

A bright pink light shone from the old man's body.

Next, a handsome young man stood before Lliw.

The man was so handsome that lliw even felt slightly ashamed of his own unattractiveness.

"…Is this supposed to make me feel better? Cuz it doesn't" Lliw said icily, hatred practically oozing from his mouth.

" No, this is just one of my faces." The handsome young man said before bursting into pink light once more and taking the form of a very fat man.

" So is this one…" The fat man said before once again bursting into pink light.

Now there was an old woman standing before Lliw.

" So, what's your point?" Lliw asked ill-manneredly.

" …oh I just want to ease your mind, I didn't actually do anything to you and I'm not some old man." The old woman said.

"… Why should I believe you?" He said, she noticed a hint of desperation in his voice. She could tell that Wanted to believe her.

" Well, if I was that horrible surely I wouldn't have a job working here would I?" The old woman said.

" not necessarily but ok, I'll believe you for now." He said, secretly heaving a sigh.

" So what exactly do you want from me?" Lliw asked curiously.

" Ah, well… I-I" The old lady started to reveal her intention but Lliw felt too awkward to have a conversation with her looking like that.

" er, sorry to interrupt you but can you please use your real self to talk to me, this just… feels too weird and besides it's more sincere don't you think." He said with a half requesting and half demanding tone.

"… What's wrong with this form?" The old woman asked.

" It's just strange that's all" He said.

" I mean, I don't know how to explain it so that you understand but it just feels…weird" He said feeling a little guilty about his previous tone.

" No it's fine." She said and a bright light flashed once more before a truly gorgeous young lady stood before Lliw.

She had a light green dress that loosely followed her shapely figure.

Underneath the dress, Lliw could make out what seemed to be Dark green stockings.

She had shoulder length brown hair that blew gently in the wind.

Her eyes were a beautiful hazel color.

" Beautiful…" He muttered so softly that even he barely heard himself.

Little did he know that that soft utterance did not go unnoticed by her.

His words caused her eyebrows to contort into a soft, barely noticeable frown.

His hidden bias against her vanished into the wind.

He noticed that he had stared at her for too long so he embarrassedly coughed and adjusted his mental state – well he tried to anyway.

When he looked at her again, he discovered that he was in no mood to do anything but just stare at her and silently appreciate her beauty.

" Ahem, Uhm, Miss- Assuming that this is your true form- could you take another form…" He cleared his throat awkwardly and directed his gaze towards … everything else but her.

"W-what?" She was rather taken aback at his request.

" Uhm, c-could you change into one of those other identities you used, I'm afraid I'm not able to keep my eyes off you so if you remain like that, then I don't think we'll be able to have any fruitful discussion of any sorts." He said seriously even though his face had been dyed a soft red due to his embarrassment and the blush he incurred from staring at her.

The gorgeous young lady starred blankly at him as if she were looking at an alien- well she was but …

Unknown to her, the displeasure she had felt towards him quietly disappeared.

" Are you sure?" She raised her eyebrow at him. She was no fool, she knew that she was beautiful and generally, Men would always want to look at her, even if it was just for one more second.

Of course there had been others who were indifferent to her beauty but those were mainly those men who were fiercely loyal to their partners or those abnormal ones who were not attracted to females. There were also those that were extremely focused on their cause and finally those that just pretended to not be influenced by her beauty while they actually hid a strong lust for her behind their polite and indifferent smiles.

However, this was a first for her. For someone to actively ask her to change her form because they found her too captivating and not just for the sake of being flirtatious… What was wrong with this man's head?

Lliw noticed her strange gaze on him and felt his cheeks getting hotter.

" Damn it I'm so embarrassment. I really shouldn't have said that, stupid! Stupid!.." He really felt like jumping into the hole he'd been in during the tutorial.

The young woman noticed his red face and the bare naked panic in his eyes.

" Hahaha" She laughed softly and enchantingly while her hand gracefully covered her mouth.

" ugh…" Lliw felt his cheeks get even hotter.

He just lowered his gaze and stared at the small depiction of the city beneath him.

" ahem, alright I'll do as you say." She said after a good few minutes of laughing.

A dazzling light surrounded her body and she transformed into the handsome young man from before.

" it's ok, you can look now" She…or he said.

" Ahem, a-anyway. I think we should get back to the reason why you brought me here." He said, suppressing his embarrassment.

" yes. But before that I have to ask, what made you reject all those gifts I gave you?- they're really valuable you know." She asked curiously.

" Ah that, well I thought you were an evil person and… I will not cooperate in an evil act." He said sounding rather serious.

" but the benefits-"

" the benefits don' matter, an evil act is an evil act no matter what" He said righteously.

"…I see." She said pensively.

" well, anyway I just wanted to explain my previous actions." She said instantly earning his attention.

" Sigh, that was a little test of mine. I wanted to see just what type of person you were" She said.

" Oh, then what type of person am I?" he asked, wanting to know her opinion of him.

" Hehe, you… are an idiot" She said before breaking into a fit of laughter.

Dark lines crawled over Lliw's head.

Why idiot?

" Ahem. Anyway, That's the best grade I have ever given anyone so you should be proud." She said after she gained control of her emotions again.

She noticed the indignant expressing on his face and couldn't help breaking into a grin.

She inches closer to him and pat his shoulder in a friendly manner.

" Well I appreciate your Upright character." She said seriously

" But sometimes you have to consider the type of situation you're in and take the best course of action. "

Lliw knew that her words made sense but, the thought of accepting such a situation was repulsive to him. But he couldn't deny that she was in fact right.

" I-I understand" He said.

" Good. It'd appear you're not a complete idiot" she said with a light chuckle.

" tsk, I get it. But I still think my choice wasn't that bad" he said.

" Well yeah, I agree with that. That's why I said that you had the best score. Frankly, I like your choice more than my own." She said.

Lliw felt better when he heard her say that.

" Ok, Lord Idiot, are you ready for your price?" She said.

" Eh? Lord Idiot? And what price?" He asked.

" The reward for that test of course." She said, glossing over the 'lord idiot' part.

" there's, a reward?" he asked incredibly.

" Yes. I noticed that you're a newbie here so I've got just the perfect gift for you, truth be told, I was actually going to give it to someone special in the future." She said smiling handsomely.

" O-oh then keep it, I can do without it" He said.
