That ball as big as a half-transparent baseball shouldn't be called the Last Black Pearl. In Emperor Paddu's mind, the size of the Black Pearl was also the same as the size of an ordinary pearl. 

"Quickly take the Last Black Pearl and return to the ship. This is an order, old friend. Don't argue and do what I say." Shouted the Supreme Leader of the Pirates when he found out that Emperor Paddu was just standing in front of the black thing. 

Emperor Paddu nodded then immediately took the Last Black Pearl in three counts. Nothing happens. It was still dark and quiet. 

"Hey, you. Quickly teleport from here onto the ship." Emperor Paddu's orders after keeping the Last Black Pearl in his robe pocket. 

"Very well, Your Majesty." The Black-cloak Guard replied.
