The One.

I combed her hair gently, and rubbed it with a towel to dry it off. I made a mental note to get her a hair dryer. There was a lot I know I needed to get for her, and we will make sure to make a list of them once she gets back.

"Samantha?" I asked, starting to comb her hair again.

"Yes?" She glanced at me through the mirror and I smiled.

"What song do you think suits us best?"

She thought for a while. "I'm not sure, but I could easily relate to 'little do you know'.

"Really? Why?" I didn't know the song, I just wanted to know how she related the song to us.

She shrugged instead. "It just..makes me feel seen. Like you see me. Even when I think you don't. It just made me feel noticed, when I thought you didn't notice me. It makes me feel loved, when I thought you were way out of my league. You seemed perfect and uncaring, and I thought I was the only one breaking from the want of you.

'Little do you know, how I'm breaking while you fall asleep.'

Its beautiful. Not the perfect love song, but beautiful nonetheless."

I watched her eyes twinkle dreamily, and I leaned and kissed her cheek. "You think we are beautiful?"

She shook her head. "I wouldn't ask for more. I am still getting used to you being a vampire. Not just any, the king of them, but, as Morgan, as just Morgan, I honestly wouldn't ask for anything else."

I leaned and kissed her hair again. "I hope I'll be enough always."

She nodded and tapped her hair. "Continue"

I continued combing her hair and she shook it.

"Not that!"

"What then?"

"I said, continue! Continue kissing my hair!" She yelled and gave me an angry look.

She was a baby sometimes, but yes, she is a baby. My baby.

  SAMANTHA'S P.O.V

The vampire world is beautiful. Dark, yet extremely beautiful. I was holding Morgan's hand as we finally walked out, on my first real trip out of the palace grounds. That was when I noticed the palace was actually the highlight of the city, standing elegant in the middle. While on our way out, I saw the field of flowers Morgan had once gifted to me.

The vampires went around their businesses, sending pleasantries and respect our way.

He only nodded to most of them and firmly held my hand as we walked through. Nick was following closely behind us, trying hard to work his phone.

Mine was already working, and I took it out to play a bit of music.

"Your highness?" A lady walked to him, a wide smile plastered on her face. She took in my appearance, then turned to Morgan. I looked down at myself. I was wearing black jeans and baby pink shirt, one he had gotten for me. I was wearing baby pink platform boots too, which I thought looked good on me.

"Is.." she started to say, and pointed at me. "Is she the one?"

Morgan turned to me, pride in his eyes. "Yes, She is the one. Samantha."
