Monstrous Morgan 1

"Nathan!" Was what came out of my mouth first.

Morgan emerged from behind him, his face carrying a darkened sneer.

"Would you panic this much if it was I before you, Kneeling in pain? Samantha, you..you have disappointed me. I used to be your best friend."

He emerged slowly towards me, the sound of bones erupting.

"Please..please your highness. I am sorry!" Nathan's voice was trembling as I held on to Morgan's arm, tears streaming down my cheeks.

"Morgan, please stop. Please."

Morgan laughed humorlessly, then lifted the other hand's index finger. With one swift move, the door closed.

Nathan was now lying on the floor, his breath breaking off in small gasps.

"Why did you come here, Nathan?"

Nathan struggled to pull himself to a kneeling position, the pain evident in his eyes, and the tears that stained his face.

"You sent me here to get her highness down for lunch with you."

"How long does that take?"

Nathan sniffed, sensing the impending danger he was in.

"Less than a second." Came the reply.

Right at that moment, before my terrified eyes, Morgan raised an arm, spreading out the fingers and brought them back to his palm, like he was gesturing for someone to come. I don't think he was gesturing though, because Nathan literally was pulled to Morgan, his chin resting on Morgan's open palm.

"How dare you?" A slap followed it, and Nathan swerved violently to the right, coughing out blood.

"Morgan! Stop!"

"Why, Sammy? Isn't he a vampire just like me? You turn your back on me when I need you the most because I am something I can't control and you can't accept, but you sit here, chit chatting with him and trying to go on a tour with him? Would you have put your hand on mine if I was the one offering?"

I swallowed. "He didn't lie to me."

Morgan nodded his head. "Oh, that's it."

He fisted his hand, and Nathan let out a scream.

"Come back here." He said, and Nathan crawled to him, his blood staining the front of his shirt.

"He may not have lied to you, Samantha," He said, dotting each and every word with a slap, each slap cutting Nathan's cheek open. "But he didn't attempt to get you out either. Neither can he."

I was determined to not let him hurt Nathan again, so I stood in front of him, clenching and unclenching my jaw.

"Move out of my way."

"Let him go." my fists were clenched, as I slowly moved from one foot to another, my breaths noisy and heavy.

Morgan smiled, then sat on the edge of the bed, still holding Nathan's chin on his palm.

"So it is me." He nodded lazily, then stood up from his sitting position, holding Nathan's face as he walked past me. The door opened on it's own, and a single man who looked familiar was standing by the door.

"To the dungeons." Was the single command I heard from Morgan before the door closed, leaving the both of us.
