Kiss Me Under The Lights 2

She moved away and smiled at me, looking around her to make sure no one has seen her. I had other plans, however. I pulled her to me, my hand going behind her neck, making her hair fall behind my hand.

The other hand held her waist and pressed her closer to me as I brought my lips to hers, letting it hover for a bit. I saw the anticipation in the way she held my shirt, I saw the desire in the way she pressed herself closer to me.

Slowly but surely, tired of starving both of us of the kiss we both know we wanted, I took her lips, revelling in the way she slowly closed her eyes. I lost my own vision too as I closed my eyes. Her taste was like none other, driving my baser vampire instinct to the last strings of control. I wanted this woman, like I never wanted anyone else. That is a lot, actually, considering I am a 158 years old vampire.

"Kiss! Kiss!" I heard the vampires start chanting amidst claps and hoots. I felt her start to withdraw, but I gently pulled her back to me. I didn't care who saw, I didn't care who knew, I didn't even care if Nick felt weird seeing us so involved with each other so passionately, but I wanted her now, and for as long as I knew she wanted me too, nothing else mattered.

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V.

I never thought I would be the one for PDA. Things have changed in my life, and I was probably not the naive nerd anymore. It did come with a lot of perks, though, including kissing him like this. The vampires around us seemed to cheer on, and I wanted to back out. I was already so flustered from the heat the contact had brought to my insides, and then the shyness too. It all felt so weird, yet so sweet. Sort of made me remember the lyric from an Ed Sheeran song, "Kiss me under the lights of a thousabd stars..."

He finally let me go, and I took my time opening my eyes, my breath still twice the normal rate, my heartbeat going crazy. He always had that effect on me, and I think he knew.

Whe I opened my eyes, he was staring at me, the sounds, cheers, hoots and whatnot from the people around us somehow silenced. It felt like the city, the world, belonged to both of us, and there was no one in it. Just the two of us.

"Samantha.." He said and I blinked.

"Y...Yes?"

"Do you want to go back?"

I swallowed. I wanted to. I was tired and so happy and I just wanted some time with him. Not some, a lot. I wanted a lot of alone time with him.

I lowered my head. "It's okay if you dont want to. We can stick around for a while, but I'll have to take you back soon. You haven't had dinner."

I only stared at him, eager for him to read my mind. Right now, going back to the palace, with him, was all I could ever ask for.
