Chapter 3: Canon Start

Well let's not call it stalking but I ran into Adalind at a coffee shop one morning before work, it was my turn to get the coffee out of the three of us Hank was next. Anyway we were both in line but I didn't notice it was her until she started to look through her purse for money, when I got a little impatient I decided to pay for her making her look at me.

"Well hello there Love how have you been?" I asked her seeing her shocked expression when she realized it was me, the little hum we had started to effect us again.

"Ha, it's good to see you again. Thanks for the coffee," her face Woged but this time she was frozen since she was closer she saw the pit of darkness in my eyes, "So the other half is a Grimm." it was a statement of fact and not a question.

"Yeah sorry about that, mind keeping it between us?" I asked handing over the money to pay for our coffee while also scratching the back of my head.

"Sure for now but if you make a move on me then everyone will know."

"Oh trust me if I made a move on you it will be to repeat the night we had together Love." My grin was sly but wide looking her up and down, with her little pencil skirt and blouse she looked like an office woman but for me it looked naughty.

She blushed a little and looked down while holding her new cup of coffee, there was a moment of silence between us it wasn't awkward but comfortable that hum getting a little stronger. At that moment my phone rang, it was a message from Nick telling me that there was a missing jogger and to meet the at the trails near the park.

"Ahh that is work," I stopped there while she looked up at me, "Look I don't know how the past year was for you but I can't forget that night….. I was wondering if I could take you on a date sometime, maybe get your number?"

She smiled widely hearing me but there was a sense of wickedness to it when she was pointing it towards me, "What if I have a boyfriend? Did you even consider that?" she was being sly.

"You are going to make me work for this aren't you?" I said while looking at my watch though I needed to be there until I got a solid answer then I wasn't going to leave.

She giggled hearing me and saw that I needed to go but I wasn't moving from my spot without an answer, "Fine you can call me and get one date but remember that it is just one, if you can't impress me by that one then your shot it missed." She said while taking my phone that I held out to her the moment that she said I could call her.

"Great well I need to rush off but expect my call Love." Without a thought I leaned in and kissed her cheek before taking off, I missed her standing there stunned at what I just did.

Ten Minutes Later...

I walked up to the crime scene with Nick and Hank still standing there listening to music from an IPod, "Sorry I am late what did I miss?"

They both looked over at me and took a coffee each before Nick spoke, "Got a call about a missing jogger from her roommate, when we got here there was nothing but footprints and this IPod. We are going back to the station to check for predators in the area, but now that you are here you do that while me and Hank talk to the friend."

"Sure thing." I said while doing a mocking salute which made them both smile.

"What took you so long anyway the coffee is cold?" Hank asked pointing to his cup though with him he would say that if it wasn't hot enough to burn his mouth.

"Ahh ran into a pretty girl and didn't leave until she gave me her number." I said while chuckling a little making them laugh.

Later That Day….

I searched through the predators but nothing stuck out and I couldn't exactly pin it all on the mailman without evidence so I decided to wait until Nick made the mistake with Monroe. While waiting for them I was joking with Wu who just like his TV personality was hilarious, he was honestly one of the best characters behind Adalind, Monroe and Bud.

Me and him had a tight friendship but I hadn't brought him in on Wesen yet I was waiting until Nick started to see them too, it would happen tomorrow since I took his chance from seeing Adalind. When he went off to work I was bored and swirled in my chair while waiting for them it was getting later almost dark before they finally showed up.

"Well did you guys find anything out there?" I asked while looking between them, our desk were connect in a triangle like shape.

"Nothing but it is getting late and we will pick this up tomorrow alright." Nick said while Hank was getting his stuff ready.

"Alright, well I have something to do tonight so I will see you both tomorrow." It was kind of true I was going to plan my date for Adalind though I had texted her she was busy at the moment.

The Next Day….

Hank, Nick and I were trucking through the woods after a little girl was taken this time, at this point we assumed that the man who took the college girl already killed her since he was striking again. Nick was also telling us about how his aunt came to town, he suddenly stopped and started to follow the tracks at a faster pace seeing that they were leading towards the street.

Though I didn't know what he saw he started to sprint while yelling, "I think I have something here."

I looked back to Hank who was a little behind since he wasn't wearing the right shoes for this situation, when I came to the edge Nick was chasing Monroe into the house about to tackle him. "Nick! Wait! Hold On!" I shout but he still tackled him making me shake my head at that.

When I made it to the entry way he was holding down Monroe who had his hands up in surrender, "Call this in Jesse we got him." Nick said looking at me.

"Nick could you please calm down a moment and wait for Hank to get here before we speak? Hello Monroe." I said giving him a wry smile.

"Hey Jesse, mind getting him off me." Monroe said with a slight smile.

While Nick got up looking between us two Hank finally caught up and walked in, he looked at the three of us before saying, "Explain."

"Well since it seems like Nick is one too might as well come out with it so no problems happen later, Hank, Nick and I are Grimm's. Monroe here is a friend and also a BlutBad." For the next twenty minutes I explained what I knew about everything with Monroe chiming in until he Woged to show Hank.

At first he was scared but then calmed down after it happened more then once, " Since that is out the way, what now?" Hank asked after we let him adjust.

"Well for starters Monroe here can help us, we need your nose my friend. I think a BlutBad is doing this seeing as he is taking people who are wearing red." I said while patting his shoulder he nodded and agreed.

Hours Later….

We searched all over before coming across the cabin in the woods, when I made a joke about it everyone looked at me like I was crazy making me shrug at them. From the car I saw the man look out the window and we got out to do the normal police thing since we couldn't just rush in, just in case.

After he lied we talked our way in and soon it happened like the canon but with me shooting the man since they were protecting the girl, we should have lured him out first in the first place. The report didn't mention Monroe at all it was just some nonsense about us following an anonymous lead from someone which lead us to his cabin.

Nick invited me to visit his Aunt in the hospital which I agreed to since it wasn't hurting anything, plus I wanted to see if Adalind was still helping Sean to take care of her. After writing my report I went to the hospital, when I got there the place wasn't allowing non-family visitors so I had to sneak in from the back which made me run into Adalind.

"Well hello there Love." I said to her with a cheeky grin, "What brings you here? Last I checked you were a Lawyer."

She looked panicked seeing me, "What are you doing here?!"

"My friends aunt is in town but she was only here a night before going to the hospital and I am here to visit her. But you skipped my question." Though we haven't texted much she did tell me her profession so it wasn't weird that I knew what she did for a living.

Her eyes went wide hearing my words no doubt putting two and two together, "Well…. Ummm… You see.." she couldn't think of a lie on the spot and started to become more nervous.

Smiling a little I grabbed her and looked her in the eye, "Calm down Love. Look I might be a Grimm and Cop but if you are here for anything illegal I won't do anything alright? I can't miss my date with you if I have to send you to jail."

My smile calmed her down and she let out a radiant smile, "Oh yeah well make sure that you make it a good date then. I need to go though some people are looking for me at the moment and I don't want to be caught."

"Yeah no trouble but before that," I leaned down and stole a kiss, we got lost in it for a moment before she pulled back out of breath, "Just like I thought the feeling is still there. Go ahead Love and wait for my call."

She nodded absent minded then took off. Seeing her leave I went ahead to Nick's aunt's room, when I got there I saw some security but when Nick greeted me they let me in. "What happened here?" I asked.

"Someone attacked her and she went back into a coma, sorry we are going to have to wait until she wakes up." Nick said sighing.

"No trouble you take care of her. I am going to go home and catch so ZZZ's" I backed out while nodding to him getting one in return.
