Chapter 1: The beginning

"Mom dad is home!" a dragon girl yelled

"Quiet down your brother is sleeping." the mother said as she came into the room

"Sorry mom." the dragon girl said

"Well you stay here I will be back." the mother said as she went out the door

"But mom." the dragon girl said as she followed

"No stay here and watch your brother." the mother said

"Ok mom." the dragon girl said as she went to her brother

The mother went out the door and sees two guys out there.

"What do you want?" the mother asked

"Well to see if this is the right house." one of them said

"Whatever you're wanting go find it somewhere else." the mother said

"But it might be here." the other man said

"Leave before I make you leave." the mother said

"But what ways." the first one said

"This one." the mother said as she changed into a dragon

"This is the place." the second man said

"You got that right." the other one said

"Mommy." the girl said as she came outside holding her brothers hand

"Lilly go back in side." the mother said

"No I want to help to." Lilly said

"I said to watch your brother." the mother said

"But mom." Lilly said

"Lookie kids." the first one said as he jumped behind Lilly and her brother

"Get away from them." the mother said

"Is it fine if we just take one." the man said

"No get away from them." the mother said as she tried to run to Lilly and her son

Then they heard someone yelling behind them.

"What is that?" one of them questioned as they turned around and jumped

"Stay away from them." the person said as they ran with a sword in his hand

"Dad!" Lilly yelled

"Daddy." the boy yelled

"Flame." the mother yelled

"Echo get the kids inside." Flame said

"Right." Echo said she said as she changed into human

"Dad can we help too." Lilly said

"No." Flame said he swung his sword at the man

"Daddy." the son said as he ran towards Flame

"No." Flame said as he tried to stop him

"Look we might just get one of them." the man said as he jumped behind the boy and grabbed him

"Dad." the boy said

"Let go of him." Flame said

"Why." the man said

Then Lilly changed into her dragon form and jumped onto the man.

"Let go of Alex." Lily said

"Get off of me." the man said as he let go of Alex

"Come here Alex." Flame said

Lily let got off the man and went to Flame and Echo.

"Daddy!" Alex said as he ran up to him crying

"It's ok." Flame said as he started rubbing his head

"Tsk. There is nothing good here." the second one said as he disappeared

"You got that right." the other one said as he also disappeared

"Good to have you back." Echo said as she came up to him

"Daddy." Lilly said as she ran up to him and hugged him

"Good to see you to." Flame said

"Well we had enough excitement for today." Echo said as she went into the house

"Well come on you two have to go in." Flame said

"Ok." Lilly said as she ran into the house

"Alex you have to go in to." Flame said

"No I want to stay here." Alex said

"Fine then." Flame said as he picked up Alex

"Well we have to move now." Echo said

"Well that is ok." Flame said as he came in the house

"I guess that we can go Emily's house." Echo said

"Alright then we better get going." Flame said

"Where are we going?" Lilly asked

"To a friends house." Echo said

"Ok but are those people coming for us?" Lilly asked

"No not when we are here." Flame said as he put Alex down

"Well come on you two off to bed." Echo said as she came over to them

Lilly went to bed so did Alex.

"So when are we going to leave?" Flame asked

"Tomorrow." Echo said

"Alright then let's get some sleep." Flame said

They all went to sleep and the next day they went to Emily's house. Echo went and knocked on the door.

"Hello who's there." a voice said on the other side of the door

"It's me Echo." Echo said

"Echo! My god I thought you were dead." the voice said as they opened up the door

"Why did you think I was dead James?" Echo asked

"Yes." James said

James let Echo and them in.

"I can't believe that you married Emily." Flame said to James

"Like you and Echo." James said back

"True." Flame said

"Mom who are these people?" Alex said as he came around Echo

"These are friends." Flame said as he put his hand on his head

Lily just comes running in.

"James what is going on down here?" a woman said as she came down the stairs

"Hi Emily." Echo said

"Echo!" she said as she an over to her and hugged her

Two kids popped their heads at the side of the stairs.

"She's always bringing people over." one of them said

"But these people look weird." the other one said. "And two (don't see Alex) of them have tails."

"By the way I have two kids to." Emily said

"I know I can smell them." Echo said as she looked at the stairs

They moved to the corner.

"I think she saw us." one of them said

"Maybe." the other one said

"We're a goner Ana." the boy said as he looked at her

"You're right Max." Ana said as she looked at him

"Mom can we go see them." Lily said as she went in front of her

"Man you have a wild one." James said

"And a shy one too." Emily said as she peaked around Echo

"Might as well Alex go with her." Echo said as she turned around

At that point Lily ran farther ahead of him.

"Sis wait for me!" Alex yelled as he ran after her

"Oh no they're coming what do we do?" Max asked as he turned around and she was nowhere in sight. "Oh come on." as he got up and ran

Alex ran after Lily but when he turned the corner she was not there.

"Sis where did you go?" Alex said as he started walking down the hallway

Then something walked in front of him and started running down the hallway.

"Sis?" Alex said as he started following it

Then he bumped into something.

"What is this." Alex said as he looked up

"I've been found out again." someone said as he picked him up

Alex looked over and saw Lily on the ground and he started crying.

"Low kick!" Max yelled as he hit him in the back of the leg and Ana followed behind

"Ouch." the man said as he let go of Alex

"Ana get her and let's go!" Max yelled

"Alright!" Ana yelled back as she came over and grabbed Lily and put her arm around her shoulder and started dragging her

Alex just sat there frozen.

"Come on." Max said as he pulled his arm up

Lily woke up as Ana was dragging her.

"Who are you and where is my brother?!" Lily yelled

"Hush he'll hear us." Ana said as she kept walking with her

"Let go of me!" Lily yelled as she got off of her

"He's fine he is with my brother." Ana whispered

"What do you mean?" Lily whisphered

"My brother has more attack magic than I do all I have is defence magic." Ana said

"We need to get down and get our parents." Lily said as she looked behind them

"Alright let's go." Ana said as she started running down the hall

Lily followed behind her. With Max and Alex

"Where are we going?" Alex said as he tried to keep up with him

"Somewhere far from him." Max said as he let go of Alex

Max took him to his room.

"Stay here and don't move." Max said as he went out of the room.

"Don't leave me here." Alex said as he grabbed Max's arm

"I can't bring you with me it's to dangerous." Max said as he pulled his arm away from him and started walking and closed the door

"Alright." Alex said as he sat on Max's bed

"Man I can't let any of them get away." the man said as he was walking down the hallway

"Hey are you looking for me." Max said as he came out from the corner

"Where are the others?" the man asked

"You don't need to know where they are at." Max said as magic came out of his hands

"Mom!" Both Ana and Lily yelled as they ran down the stairs

"What is it." Flame said as he looked at Lily

"There's a guy upstairs." Ana said

"What!" Emily yelled

"Where's Alex?" Echo asked Lily

"He's with Max." Ana said as she came over to her

"I don't care I'm going." Alex said as he ran out the door

Alex turned the corner and saw Max and the man and he went to the side.

"Alright got to do something to help him." Alex thought. "I got it."

Alex ran out there.

"Hey ugly!" Alex shouted

"There's another one." the man said as he started walking toward him

"Oh no you don't." Max said as he ran in front of him

"Get out the way." the man said as he threw Max to the side

"Bye." Alex said as he changed into his dragon form and slid under the man's legs and grabbed Max and tried to fly to the stairs

"Come on I won't go and chase you now come here." the man said as he grabbed Alex's tail and slammed him to the ground

Alex fell (still in dragon form) on top of Max.

"I can use you two as bate." the man said as he picked up both of them that is when Alex changed back to human form

He started walking down the hallway and had Alex in one arm and Max in the other one.

"Ow my back." Max said as he woke up and noticed Alex. "Dumb but."

"Well one of you is awake." the man said as he kept walking

"Let go of me!" Max yelled

Max's voice echoed through the hallway.

"Max!" Ana yelled

They ran halfway up the stairs.

"Not another step." the man said as he held Alex over the side of the stairs

"Alex!" Echo yelled

"Let the kids go you coward!" Flame yelled

"All I need is one of them if I could have one I'll be good." the man said

"How about none!" James yelled

"How about I just drop both of them and take their corpses." the man said as he held Max over the side of the stairs and he was trying to get free

"Put them down." Emily said

"Oh sure." he said as he dropped them both of them off the side

"Ana now!" Max yelled

"Alright!" Ana yelled back

A shield came around them both before they hit the ground.

"Are you alright?!" Ana yelled

"Yes!" Max yelled back

"It's the first time it's worked." Ana said

"Well time to take my leave and by the way that's a fake." the man said as he held the real Alex. "And goodbye Flame."

"Wait how do you know my name?" Flame asked

The man snapped his fingers and Flame fell to the ground gasping for air.

"Flame!" Echo yelled as she went over to him

"Goodbye." the man said as he disappeared

"I love you Echo." As Flame said his final words

"No, no please don't." Echo said as she shook him

"Mom what about Alex?" Lily asked

"We'll get him." Echo replied

"I'm sorry." Max said as he came over to them

"It's alright." Echo said as she came over to him

"Echo how are you going to Alex back?" Emily asked

"Don't know but let's give Flame a proper burial." Echo said as she came over to him

"Yes let's do that." Emily said as she touched Echo's shoulder

With Alex and the man.

"Here you go." The man as he let go of Alex

"Thank you." a woman said as she came up to Alex and walked away

A couple hours later. Alex started waking up and looked around.
