It Frightened The Heck Out Of Them.

The initial days were very tough because Guo Yina was just a baby of a few months and it was difficult for him to manage everything from taking care of her to doing house chores on his own and even learning how to cook food.

He had eaten his burnt food for months before he got the procedure of making the food right. He was financially very stable till that time and even had servants at home who could help him in doing the things however he used to instruct them to just stand at his side and teach him how to do everything. He only used to take their help when he was busy at work.

Busy at work...

At this, his prideful face turned stoic and he stopped eating. Putting his cutlery down, he lifted his eyes and wondered how those people must be doing with a scornful smile. In a casual tone, he threw the question at Jiang Ying Yue, "How are things going on in LCJ?"

It was as if he was asking for the weather; something that always holds the power to bother him but he was not getting affected by it.

Jiang Ying Yue was surprised by his question but immediately replied to him eagerly in fear that he might change the topic. Ever since they started eating she had been thinking about how to bring the topic but now if the prey was himself willing to get in the trap then who could be happier than the predator?

"Not so good! It was fine till last year but we don't know, suddenly the current head is not coming with any designs. He had just been asking for some more time giving excuses that he is going through art block!"

'Art block?' A contemptuous chuckle got out of his lips. According to his estimation of the time and number of designs, all the designs they had taken away from him should already be utilised by them now.

And if things were like that, right now there must be a turmoil going over there and they might have already hired the investigators to investigate his whereabouts.

"Does anybody know that I am here?"

Jiang Ying Yue's posture turned awkward as she coughed before replying with a nervous chuckle, "My cousins."

"Except them."

"Grandmother is aware that we know where you are but we have not yet disclosed your location to her till now in fear that she would end up actually forcing you by her means back to there!"

'Her means' made him gulp his saliva down his throat and shift on his chair. Her means...had never been that convenient.

"Better."

"It made me remember the time when you had just returned from abroad to study here." After a pause, he spoke with a gulp.

Jiang Ying Yue did not catch his words instantly and only after gazing blankly at him for some time, her eyes widened, "That one time when we went to the nearby village?"

"Right."

"That was the first time I came across that kind of situation. Till that time, I felt nothing was abnormal with her but after that, I started looking at her differently."

Jiang Ying Yue was not even sixteen when she came to study in City S. At that time, being surrounded by bodyguards all the time and living in a huge mansion was an entirely different experience for her. Her parents had made sure that she was brought into a friendly and normal environment rather than an imposing one. And then suddenly, she was forced to get adapted to all of that because she was told that it was her life now, to where she belonged.

That was the same year when Guo Leiwu who was twenty-one at that time had also started working with her grandfather; usually, her grandparents always made sure that office work was never brought to home but because her grandfather had taken an unreal liking to Guo Leiwu, he often brought him and their work files to home. That year, they used to have their dinner together almost every day.

Because of that reason, she along with her cousins grew close to him.

One time, her grandparents had gone to City B to attend an official banquet and they were left at home by themselves to take care of. That day Guo Leiwu had also come to find her grandfather for some work but on not finding him there he ended up eating his breakfast with them.

She can't remember who it was but one of them come up with an idea to go to the nearby village where there was a very old shop which was popular for its soups and hotpots. Because that shop was that popular none of them found anything wrong with the idea and instantly got ready to go there.

That was an abrupt decision! Because they were having Guo Leiwu and their eldest cousin with them who were already above eighteen, even bodyguards did not stop them from going out.

It was the monsoon season so City S was going through constant showers at that time. The place where they were going was located in a hilly area which was about three hours away from City S and because they were going to return the same day before dinner, they decided against informing anybody about their visit and kept it secret.

Halfway, it was still a mystery to them how, but their grandmother got to know about their plan and right away called them to scold and command them to return back to City S.

Though the scolding they got was pretty bad but even after getting several warnings, they were resistant to go back because they were just about to reach and thinking about the delicious food they would get to eat once they reach there, they immediately lied about their locations and turned off their phone before continuing on their way.

It was not that they were not afraid about the outcome, they were, in fact to the extent that if someone was to dissect their heart and mind, all they would find was the scaredy-cat sitting inside there. But the desire of eating the hotpot and the avidity of it had overtaken their affright.

After about twenty minutes, they heard the sound of a helicopter coming from somewhere near. Not pondering that much about it, they just increased the volume of the music playing on the radio and kept on grooving to it.

After a while, they felt the sudden change in the surrounding when the wind started blowing furiously making the green trees on the sides of the road sway strongly as they geared ahead on road.

It was a rainy day so if the wind were just blowing normally, they wouldn't have felt weird but currently, the wind was blowing as if a storm had come. But that was really strange!

The wind was only blowing where they were going and after they pass an area, trees were returning to stillness. They looked at the front and even at the back to find nothing amiss and all the trees standing as still as on a sunny day, but the sound of a helicopter was still coming.

But from where?

Realising the sound was, even more, closer to them now, they opened the window only to found out that...it was moving right on top of their car. And that was more than enough to frighten the heck out of them!
