In 1943 a scientist tried to design a new weapon to end WW2 he called it "project x-ray". What he planned was to catch exactly 1040 mexican freetail bats, attach timed incendiary bombs to them, and then put them in forced hibernation by placing them in a freezer. When it was time to launch the weapon they would place the bats in a bomb casing and drop the "bat bomb" onto cities via airplane. while testing, some bombs would open too soon, with the bats spreading out miles away and destroying random farmhouses/property with one even being released on base, which lead to the destruction of an entire airplane hanger and the generals car. (the project was cancelled due to needing too much time to finish and to much resorces.)

in 1945 another scientist wanted to create another WW2-ending weapon, this one chemilcally analized the worst smells known to man, and combined them to create a military grade stink bomb called "who me?" the porject was sadly cancelled (even though they already created 600 vials of it) because trumen launched the atom bombs on nagasaki and hiroshima and ended the war before 'who me' could be used.

In 1960 the CIA tried to create a secret spy to learn secrets from the soviet union, they called it project "Acoustic Kitty" what they did was surgically attach a microphone in the ear, a wire in the fur, and a radio transmitter in the base of the skull of a common street cat. on it's first mission it was run over by a taxi and the project was shut down because it was too expensive to create another. (one Acoustic kitty cost 20 million dollars create)

In 1886 amsterdam a crowd of people were playing an illegal game called "eel pulling" where a rope is stetched across a canal with a live eel tied to the middle of it, small boats would drift underneath and the passangers would then try to pull the eel out. when the local police noticed the crowd playing the game, they cut the rope and tried to send everyone home, but this just sent the crowd into a riotous frenzy; with people throwing things from the rooftops, setting up barricades in the street, and some even attempted to storm the police station. after a full day of non-stop rioting the army came and started to fire guns into the crowd resulting in one of the bloodiest examples of dutch police brutality with 26 people dying and 136 injured. This event from then on was called "the eel riots of 1886" (26 years later the eel was auction off for basically nothing)
