Learning To Fight The Wrong Way

"Damn it!... Stop chasing me already! You wolf bastard!"
Right now, I'm being chased by a Rank_E Magical Beast known as Herd-Wolf.
As to why I'm in this situation, going back a few days will give the answer.

Seeing the first sunlight since coming to the world of Reverie kinda gives me a comforting feeling. At least I know now that the World of Reverie doesn't just revolve in the darkness of people that I saw after my soul has been transmigrated here in this fake body.
"So what is your plan now, Siel?"
This old man... Can't he see that I'm having a moment? Does he really need to ask the most important question right now?
But still, he is right that I need to decide what to do.
I made an oath to go back and retrieve Siel's remains but I'm too weak to do that right now. I need to get stronger, strong enough to defeat those Blind-Rats without getting hurt and to kill those damn lunatics who take away her life.

"I'm going to stay in this forest to train and get stronger, Mister."
I made that decision because of two reasons. First, I can't go to town since I don't trust the people of this world. Second, if we are really deep inside the forest, the chance of encountering those damm lunatics and being captured by them will be low.
"That is great, Siel! You can stay in here with me if you want."
"That won't be necessary, Mister."
I know that this old man saved my life but I can't completely trust someone who is living alone deep inside the forest. I just feel that there is still something suspicious about this old man.
"Then where are you planning to stay?"
"At the top of the trees. I can just build a simple platform to sleep there."
"What about food and water?"
"There is probably some fruits and river around here. Also, I can just hunt small animals."
"What about fire? How are you going to cook?"
"Then give me some firestarter as a farewell gift, Mister."
"Jeez!... Listen, Siel. This forest is filled with dangerous beasts along with some Magical Beast that is leading them. You won't survive here alone considering how weak you are."
"I know... That is why I don't want to stay near the most dangerous one here in this forest."

"Tell me, Mister. Why is someone like you is living alone here deep inside this forest?"

No normal person will live in solitude deep inside this forest without an absurd reason. It might be you are hiding from authorities because of a crime that you committed.

"Don't even think about lying, Mister."
"Okay, I know.... My body has a sickness and the materials of the medicine that is keeping me alive can only be found deep inside this forest. I'm staying here so that I can make a medicine that can fully cure me."

After saying those remarks, I stop running and turn back to face the Herd-Wolf that is chasing me.
The Herd-Wolf made a sudden stop probably getting surprised as to why I stopped running away from it.
I then prepare my Dagger on my right hand and my Knife on my left hand.
I'm not sure if I can really learn something from a wolf fighting style but what is important now is to dodge its attacks.
