Greenwood’s Emporium

As they entered through the main door, they were suddenly transported somewhere else again. They found themselves inside a big room that was only filled by a comfortable looking couch, a few plants and a giant screen that was located on one of the walls.

The two siblings didn't really know what to do so they just sat down. As they did a kind of holographic touchpad appeared in front of them. Trying to operate it, they noticed that it was connected with the giant screen in front of them. The screen suddenly showed a variety of options that were mirrored on the holographic screen in front of them.

„Woah, this is so futuristic." Maria was stunned by the modern design of the store, her mouth was agape. „Quick Ezequiel, do to the snacks option."

On the screen in front of them a variety of choices were presented. There were „Snacks", „Weapons", „Pills", „Blessings", „Contract Cards", „Techniques", „Information" and „Miscellaneous". „It seems like they do carry everything. Which snack do you want by the way Marie?"

„D.O.N.U.T."

„Okay, I get it, sorry for asking." As they chose the extremely expensive donut for 10.000 faith points, it was suddenly sent to their room through an opening in the wall. Marie instantly sprinted towards it, taking a bite right away.

„So, how is it?" Ezequiel tried to ask her but she was already inside her own world. You could almost see tears forming in her eyes.

„Please buy the blueprint Ezequiel!" He tried searching for it and they actually sold it as well, but there was no way Ezequiel was going to buy this. „Ain't gonna happen. I won't buy a fucking donut blueprint for 100 Billion Faith Points. Are they out of their god-damned mind?" Marie tried to beg him but he didn't give in. If she wanted it she had to buy it herself. Sadly she was lacking Faith Points at the moment so she couldn't afford it either.

Ezequiel continued to browse through the options and was surprised by all the items they sold. The pills, weapons and techniques were pretty self-explanatory. There were both ones for the upper and lower dimension. Ezequiel wanted to see if there were some pills that could increase his cultivation speed but they didn't have any. Since the thing that gods lacked the most when cultivating was divine energy, creating and selling a pill made from it would be more expensive than just condensing the needed energy with the help of Faith Points.

Ezequiel also didn't buy anything for his Angels since everything they needed was in their bloodline inheritance. He also realized how lucky he was once again, since even the blueprint for a simple Energy Gathering Pill usable in the Energy Condensation Realm cost a Billion Faith Points.

The reason for that was that you needed the entire molecular structure and energy distribution of the item to create a blueprint. Usually only high-level gods had the needed consciousness and soul power to examine items with such detail.

Ezequiel also looked at the Contract Cards but quickly lost his interest as he saw the prices. Those were cards you could use to contract a second species, eliminating the reduction in faith points you would get from them. The only problem was that they were extremely rare. The store only carried those that could contract low-level species and even then they cost 999 Billion Faith Liquid.

This might not sound like a lot, but from the internet Ezquiel found out that one Faith Liquid was equal to one trillion Faith Points. Amassing this amount of faith points would take forever for an average god. There was also the fact that these cards usually had a limited usefulness for gods with species below high-level.

Usually it was faster for them to just let their species procreate and then fill their entire territory with them. Only high or peak level species gods would contract a low-level species since the number of their subordinates was so low.

Ezequiel might also need such a card in the future but for now he didn't really have a use for them. Not even speaking about the fact that there was no way he could even afford one.

One thing they sold was really interesting to Ezequiel though. That were the Blessings. He never even thought about the ability to sell the blessings you created, but if some god awakened a really overpowered divinity then this would be a good way to earn Faith Points for them. Looking at the blessings they sold, Ezequiel realized that he might need to buy some of them for future fights.

‚This is very important, I need to keep this in mind for next time. As soon as I can afford this blessing I should buy it, in case an accident happens. Right now I can't afford it though. I also need to spend my Faith Points on cultivation. It seems like it will take at least a month until I have saved up enough.'

Ezequiel really wanted the blessing of light since it helped him so much in the last war. There was always the risk of his planet suddenly being invaded but the chance of that happening was pretty low. But better safe than sorry.

‚Maybe I should also consider selling blessings when I break through to the Lesser God Realm. I'm pretty sure my divinity will be very strong because of the Angels.'

The last thing Ezequiel checked was the miscellaneous items. The most important one there was a „Divine War Scroll" used to initiate a divine war against another god.

If that happened both of the gods followers would be summoned to the same dimension and fight until one of the sides perished. The god would survive this though. It was simply that their future path would be cut off.

‚How dumb would I have to be to initiate a Divine War and expose my Angels. Supposedly you can pay a giant amount of Faith Points to kill your opponent in the end but I don't have the funds for that right now.'

As Ezequiel and Marie stood up and were about to leave, they were suddenly interrupted by a man entering their room. He wore a suit with gloves as well as a blank white mask that covered his face. You couldn't even make out the color of his skin because everything about him was hidden. Only his short, curly black hair showed.

„Can I help you with something my dearest customers? But wait, let me first introduce myself. My names Kelly and I work as the branch leader of this specific Grenwood Emporium."

Ezequiel was taken aback but kept up his guard. Why would the manager of such a big store come to greet them personally.

„Oh, hello mister, we want the donut recipe please. They are so delicious." Marie said before Ezequiel could answer, but he grabbed her hand and signaled her to let him talk.

„Sadly we can't afford most things here since we are somewhat low on Faith Points currently. But thank you for your question. We would like to leave now!" Ezequiel said with a clear voice, trying to hide his anxiety. He knew that no one ever tried to help someone without any benefit and he still didn't know why this manager had chosen them.

„Oh that's no problem. If you want to, I can even give you a credit. Of course there will be a teeny tiny bit of interest. Let's say 5% per day? How's that sound?"

Ezequiel was taken aback by the shamelessness of this guy. How could he offer them such a bad credit with a straight face. Not that Ezequiel could see his face or anything but he guessed that the guy was completely convinced of his offer.

„Not interested, but thank you for your service. Maybe the next time." He did his best to tone down the hostility in his voice and seem friendly. After all a lot of people get angry just from being treated somewhat unfriendly.

„Haha, that is no problem my dearest customer. As a sign of friendship I would like to give you my business card and even provide you the blueprint for the donut the young lady asked for. All for free of course."

‚What does this guy want? Why would he just give me something worth a hundred billion Faith Points for free. Ugh, let's just take it for now I guess. He probably won't let us leave otherwise and this guy seems pretty strong.'

„Thank you for your kindness. I will take the business card and contact you if I need anything in the future, but we still have a appointment in the near future so we really need to leave now."

Ezequiel took the business card and pulled Marie behind him towards the door. He really wanted to leave.

„Before you go. The blueprint is in the card. You simply need to hold it to your head and it will transmit all the necessary information right into your brain. Isn't that amazing?" From the tone it seemed like the guy was laughing at the moment, but you couldn't see his facial expression because of the mask.

„Thank you so much. I will be sure to come back within the near future." Ezequiel said but his action of dragging Marie towards the exit made his words somewhat implausible.

As they walked through the door they arrived below the building, skipping the hall they arrived in upon entry.

‚Pheww, finally out. That guy was so sketchy. I sure will never go back there.'

„Ezequiel when will we go back? I really want to try their other snacks. Maybe the nice uncle will give them to us for free as well."

It seems like Ezequiel would have to go back someday. No matter if he wanted to or not.

I just noted that part of the „Unnamed“ chapter was missing. I don’t know if that happened right before the upload or just recently so maybe check it out if you read it before August 9th 17:00
