She felt that she didn't need to be sad anymore, what was there to be sad about? Everything was already beyond her control.
She never had control in the first place.
She sat there numbly until Samuel Johnson appeared before her. The man bent down to meet her gaze, and her blurred vision framed his gloomy face.
"Can you please not be this way?" Samuel was a bit frantic, the debacle was her doing, so why did he have to console her?
"It's just a child, right? You can have one later on," he pursed his lips, "If you really want my child, when I'm older, we can have another."
As he said this, even he didn't find it strange, how could there possibly be a future for them?
He just didn't want to see that desolate expression on her calm face anymore, he wanted to brush away the anxiety in his heart.
He hadn't even considered what the child meant to both of them.
Amanda Smith focused her gaze upon hearing this, looked at him, and then shook her head: "Samuel, there is no future."
