They were back in the Tower Dungeon, just outside of the Black Castle zone. Jael was specifically in Thayer's tent, and right now, all he wanted to do was go back to sleep because at least he could pretend that all was well.
When Thayer realized he was awake, he called the healer, and the news also reached others. He watched them come in as the healer circulated his magic through his body.
After Temur entered, with his face set in grim lines and no one scolded him for needing the healer, Jael bowed his head and gripped the bed. "So she's not yet back."
The silence that followed was heavy. The healer felt the tension in the air and began to talk. "You seem to be alright. The problem was that you pushed your body above your limits with no time to rest. Your case was easier than that big guy over there."
