Alas, Lumiel made it to novice rank. By him winning the test, he has proven that he was worthy of the rewards.

"Your reward was given and there will be skill pages available for purchase. You can get them at the front desk. As for me, I will recuperate before another test starts," the examiner then left to rest and drank a health potion.

Lumiel then went to the counter and the receptionist greeted him.

"Hello sir, congrats on reaching novice rank. There will be available skill pages to purchase! I will fetch them for you," the girl then went to fetch him the skill pages.

"Please do," Lumiel replied.

He then saw the skill pages on a box that was carried by her. Putting the box on the desk with a thud.

The skill pages were Skill: Javelin throw, Skill: Dagger burst, Skill: Afterimage illusion, Skill: Double time, and, Skill: Phantom.

The inscription then was seen on the paper as Lumiel read it.

Description: Throw conjured javelins to the enemies.

Effects: Will conjure 7 javelins that deal 7 magical damage each. Stun on the last Javeling that hits.

It was then Lumiel was in a deep trance as he watched the skill pages gets learned. He then snapped out of it after the receptionist talked to him.

"Hello, sir? Can I help?" she asked in a timid voice.

Lumiel went excited for a moment.

"I will take the adept rank examination!" Lumiel said loud and clear.

"Are you sure sir?" she wanted to confirm it.

"Yes!" Lumiel responded with a more resolute expression.

"Okay, wait for a moment in the training grounds," she said as she wrote something on the paper.

Lumiel then went to the training fields where many students were practicing their skills. Many others were sparring with the teachers.

He waited for his examiner and then after a few minutes of waiting on the couch, he finally arrived. He was wearing a blue colored robe.

"You are the examinee?" he asked and then stared at him up and down.

"Yes sir!" Lumiel said as he stood up.

"Okay, we will begin immediately. Follow me to the testing grounds," he then walked past him, and then Lumiel followed through.

They soon faced each other on the testing ground and then went ready for a match.

"Defeat me and you will become an adept rank. Also, you will be given 2 skill pages as a reward," he then went on to his stance.

Lumiel then went ready for a fight. He conjured a sword and then went on his stance too. His knees were bent and the sword was held at his chest level.

"Ready, fight!" the referee shouted.

The two then dashed toward each other and their swords clashed. Lumiel slashed vertically and the examiner blocked it. Sliding the sword to the side then he used the skill Dagger burst.

Ten daggers flung towards Lumiel then he repelled them with his sword. The sword sounded with every dagger that landed on the blade.

He then conjured his Apparition and the two of them attacked. With the skill Phantom, it spawned one more and they became three. Attacking the examiner all at once. The examiner then used Dagger burst and the three of them blocked the daggers. The Apparition then was hit on the shoulders after the skill was used. It will be dispelled with 10 hits and so it was still alive.

Lumiel then used Multiply and another 2 of him were conjured. With only 1 hit to dispel.

The examiner then also used Multiply and Apparition, also Phantom skill summoned 2 of him.

They soon clashed with each other and then the fight was brutal.

Lumiel used Javelin throw and threw 7 javelins towards the Apparitions. Hitting them and several of them were dispelled in the process.

Lumiel used Conjure light armor and also his apparitions. They attacked once again and swords sounded with them battering each other's weapons.

Lumiel used Double time and they attacked faster. Also, the examiner used the same skill. Attacking each other with their weapons.

Lumiel was assaulted with the original and he used Afterimage apparition. Turned invisible for a moment and used a Dagger to burst on the enemies.

They were hit with the daggers and were damaged. Several more hits will dispel them.

The examiner then attacked his apparitions. It was clear that he was a veteran of battles. But Lumiel was a veteran in the experience too, only lacking in the physique stats.

He battled his entire life in his past life and it proved how much battle experience he has.

He clashed with the apparitions of his enemy and then Lumiel smirked, 'You will know why I am called weapon master,'

He conjured a sword and then threw it to one enemy apparition. The enemy blocked it then the sword was flung. Conjuring another sword then dual wields them.

Attacking with his weapon and then threw one in point-blank range. The enemy apparition was perplexed and was hit in the chest. Dispelling it on the process.

The Apparitions of Lumiel then copied him. They have the same battle prowess and it was a perfect copy of the original.

Attacking in a strange form of fighting. They then smirked as they already knew what Lumiel was planning.

They soon changed their form of fighting. Evading and countering in a way that the examiner was shocked.

Lumiel was slashed with a sword and then ducked, he conjured a sword on his foot and kicked it toward the examiner's apparition in point-blank range.

The sword then slit the cheeks of the original examiner.

'What the?!' the examiner perplexed at his form of fighting.

He then conjured more swords and attacked. Throwing them at his enemy. The enemy blocked them and they were flung upwards. Several apparitions then leaped towards the sword above the apparitions of the examiner and kicked them toward them.

Making them pierced by the sword. The original examiner then was nearly hit by the sword. Evading in just a hair's breadth.

Lumiel then Conjured 6 swords and attacked the others. Throwing the two towards the enemy then the enemies blocked the sword.

Other apparitions of Lumiel grabbed the sword that flung and threw them again toward the enemies. They then attacked with their weapons and their coordination was unparalleled.

They covered each other's backs and attacked in teamwork. They threw each other with conjured weapons and then Lumiel's apparitions smashed their swords and it flung them back to them.

His opponent then used Dagger burst and they just sent it back towards the examiner. One dagger also cut the hem of his robe.

It was then, he questioned why his enemy was so peerless. He hasn't met someone like him his age that was already that experienced in combat. It was then, he sighed.

Lumiel then attacked once again and he smashed his sword. His enemy's sword was flung with his attack. The examiner was surprised. Lumiel then drew his sword near his neck and his enemy could only gulp his saliva.

"I surrender! Damn it! How can I defeat you? It is almost impossible!" he yelled.

Lumiel then dispelled his apparitions and laughed.

"You will know it when you have an entire lifetime of fighting for survival," Lumiel then winked at him.

"Congratulations, you have truly bested me. For that, I will reward you with 2 skill pages. Enjoy your day," he said then drank a health potion.

His skill pages that he got were Skill: Staff smash and Skill: Staff mastery. He then read the inscription on the skill page after putting it in his skill book.
