Fierce Battle

The desert breeze had been slithering away from ferocious looks between Tim and his companions and the Sand Shark Surfers, with the pirates gearing themselves for a confrontation in order to protect Ireene, who had been hooded.

"Princess. The king accepted the rule infringement, and we were sent out into the wild to put you to death. Do not flee, or we will pursue you with all the power necessary to eliminate each of you."

"On the sand, how can a shark move? It's out of the usual in every sense. Are they shark toys that move on the sand thanks to the propellant?"

"Shore Sharks are sand-dwelling sharks that may move in and out of the water. Because it is bordered by sand and the sea, this island is the most likely spot to discover them. Unlike most sharks, these may be easily tamed if properly fed and can fast become people's best friends. They can be ridden and controlled in the same way as surfboards, with the exception that their speed is unmatched even by a cheetah. They are the island's quickest living species, and riding them is difficult if you haven't been trained how."

"You'd need an incredible balance to ride them without trouble, especially when standing up straight."

Ellie, who was amusingly surprised by the creatures he had discovered on the fringes of Golden Wasakona, explained, with the Sand Shark Surfers being one of the most memorable species only by glancing at them once.

Tubby had fluttered his wings behind Ireene's legs as he peered from behind her knee, terrified of the gigantic animals like the Shore Sharks, which were largely dug into the sand.

"Tubby, don't worry. You don't need to be scared, we'll be fine..."

Ireene claimed after patting the top of his fluffy head, then braced herself for the impending attack for breaking the rules.

"At the very least, their group's name now makes sense to me. While I don't think it's particularly eye-catching, it is certainly amazing."

Tim slid in front of everyone else a few moments later, his eyes glittering as if he had been excited, while the others stared at him, perplexed by his unexpected reaction.

"That's so COOL!"

They collapsed like trees in a row, along with Tubby, on the floor, as Ireene, glanced at him, puzzled and surprised to observe Tim's most unusual reaction to seeing something out of the norm.

"He's impressed by them, not scared?"

"Could you teach me how to ride those sharks? I really want one!"

The Sand Shark Surfers looked at Tim with a casual expression and were easily annoyed by him in the midst of their view as the man who happened to be dressed in shorter clothes and had long hair and who most likely had been the Sand Shark Surfers' leader believed them to be the enemy, as well as seeing how Karisa leaped to her feet and hung her arms downward with her mouth and eyes wide open and yelled at him for his stupid reaction.

"This is no time to be impressed by something, Tim! They want to kill Ireene!"

He became serious and understood that force would be required to battle the Sand Shark Surfers, but was soon stopped by Codey who swung his arm in front of his chest, while Tim in response looked at him in confusion.

"Hey! What the hell? Let me fight them!"

"You should not be fighting them at this moment. Take Ireene with you, and make sure she takes you to the Golden Wasakona so Ayuka may find a doctor. We'll follow you once we've finished with these shark people. Despite having no knowledge of the island, I'll be able to navigate through the desert. My responsibility as a navigator is not to be taken lightly. All you have to do now is make sure Ayuka and Ireene get in town as soon as possible. They'll be dealt with by the rest of us."

"There's no way you can fight all of them on your own."

Karisa and Elliott unexpectedly approached Codey, who stared at them with surprise. They both drew their weapons and braced themselves for a fight to safeguard Ireene.

"Don't worry, Capt. We're here to help 'em out! You better make sure the three lovely ladies get there safe!"

"We can beat them. Get going, Tim!"

Tim looked at them with a smile and turned around and ran over the sand with Ireene stuck in place who looked at them with worrisome attitude.

"Go with him, Ireene! Take them to the Golden Wasakona and make sure to seek a doctor! We got your back! You too, Nina!"

"Y-Yeah! Wait up, Tim! Right behind you!"

Ireene pressed her hand against her chest and nodded with confidence and smile. Then ran with them and began to escort them to the kingdom of Golden Wasakona, only to hear the Sand Shark Surfer's leader ordering another command.

"Don't let them get away, SSS! Hurry up and chase them down! No matter what, we cannot let them escape!"

On the command of their leader's words, two of them crouched on the sharks, leaned forward while pointing their spears behind their backs.

"Go!"

The sharks snarled and suddenly began rushing across the sand, their speed being sufficient to catapult them into the air, with sand falling from their flying bodies. The sharks opened their fins and began to glide down toward Tim, Ireene, and Nina, who were sprinting at fast speeds while the injured Ayuka murmured agony noises, and the rapid launch into the air shocked them all as they saw the sharks gain up speed and closing in on them in seconds.

The three runners' eyes, shook in response as the two riders in charge of the sharks' plunge whirled their spears and released a battle cry as they pierced forward, believing they'd already failed.

But luck was on their side when a silver bolt of electricity zapped behind their backs, revealing Ellie carrying a slender blade that had been wrapped in the same electricity, who had out-sped the Shore Sharks, the fastest living creature in the Golden Wasakona.

He cut and swiped the sword's edge into the spears with ease to defend the horsemen, nearly knocking them off their feet and preventing them from continuing the chase. Ellie then launched a forward slash, conjuring a silver line generated by the lightning and launching it like a projectile through the landscape, obliterating it and blowing sand in both directions.

The two riders yelled in surprise and were subjected to a vicious attack that shocked them and the sharks before hurling them through the air. They piled on top of each other, and their leader became irritated, ordering the remainder of the Sand Shark Riders to attack the three warriors who stood between them and Ireene.

"If you want to get to Ireene, you'll have to get through us!"

Codey knelt on the place and opened his eyes wide, causing the sand to cycle about him and burst to the sides as the pressure was released. He summoned both of his boomerangs before leaping straight into the air with both arms behind his back.

"Hurricane Toss!"

Both boomerangs were thrown into the combat with the silver wind emanating from their bodies, and they began to fly through the air at full speed, away from Codey, who was balancing his position in the air. The boomerangs swept through the air in an unpredictable pattern and began to zigzag through it as the other two riders blitzed on the shark's backs and slashed with their spears, the two boomerangs finally crashing into the ground and creating a typhoon of wind and sand that rose into the air behind the two riders and easily sucked them inside. While six of the Sand Shark Surfers remained in action, they lost their balance and began screaming the terrible screams of being thrown around by the wind.

Codey dropped to the bottom and landed on the sand, then raised his arms to the shoulder height and waited for the boomerangs to return into his grip, then made a spread leg position with his right arm bent behind him while the left one in the front. His eyes quickly returned to normal.

"Thanks a lot you guys!"

Called Tim in the distance with a smile and noticed that Ellie ran with them, making sure that nobody else attacked them.

"Ellie, aren't you going to help them out?"

Ellie looked Nina in the eyes and instantly refuted her accusations, explaining why he had joined them in their flight.

"They can look after themselves; I'll accompany you and make sure no one assaults you; each of you is unable to defend yourself in this situation, so I'm very confident a bodyguard would be advantageous to you, don't you think?"

Tim nodded, smiled and continued to run forward, giving them the next commands.

"Thanks a lot, Ellie. I knew you'd come in handy at some point!"

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?!"

"Well, you see. You didn't really do much ever since you boarded our ship! So, now is the perfect time to prove yourself helpful!"

"HEY!"

"Let's go! No matter what! Don't stop running until we cover some ground!"

The Sand Shark Surfers' leader grumbled in disgust and ordered the shark to dig beneath the sand, surprising everyone else in the process. Karisa, Elliott, and Codey were taken aback and glanced around, unable to locate him.

"The sharks can dig?!"

"Damn, this is not what I expected from a shark."

Codey stared in the same way as Tim and the others were running and realized he'd have to chase them down, but he stayed silent in response.

"Let's not lose focus no matter wherever he is! There are some jerks we need to deal with!"

The journey continues...
