Chapter 6

Magnus quickly ran to meet his family but before he could reach there, he was shot by Maximilian on the leg. "I didn't say you could get close to them, they belong to me now, including your wife, oh she was damn tasty" Maximilian commented as he glared at Magnus. But one thing was still confusing him, when he went to raid the castle, he couldn't find the armies nor the general. Did they go into hiding just like their king?

Oh that would be good as they all made his work easier!

"I will kill you max! I will fucking get your head separated from your body!" Magnus yelled as he crumbled to the ground, he saw blood flowing from his pants, oh he was losing blood already.

"You can try" Confronted max as he raised his bow aiming to fire at Magnus while the latter was in pain due to being shot on the leg, before he could draw his arrow, he felt his head being hit with a large stone, grunting his eyes darted across the place and his eyes fell on the group of soldiers at the high tower they had pointed their slings, arrows and bombs at him and his soldiers.

Fuck! he knew this people were up to something as they had allowed him to raid the castle with ease.

"Get them!" Maximilian yelled at his soldiers. Magnus soldiers also didn't wait for them to get attacked as they started firing arrows, slings and bombs at them. Maximilian's soldiers were already falling off their horses while the strong ones went for the high tower to eradicate the people left in there because they were sure there are still some people left.

Magnus had managed to reach to his wife and his child Luna and he helped them to a safe place for protection.

While he was at it, max had come rushing towards him with his dagger with an attempt to slice his neck off meanwhile Magnus was not aware of this but his wife as she saw max coming with full speed in an attempt to murder her husband, she went to protect him and max ended up killing her instead of Magnus.

"Mama!" Luna shouted while Magnus just felt his whole world crumbling down, how many of his family did he lose just because of Maximilian!. Rage build up within him as he grabbed his sword, "Luna, please stay here, don't come outside no matter what happens you hear me?" He asked, not waiting for her response he pushed her into the tunnel that led to the underground area and went after Maximilian.

The whole place was in chaos, Maximilian thought he had finished all the people in Sleasea but he was wrong, he smiled when he saw his armies bringing down the high tower, he started hearing screams from inside as people that went into hiding began rushing out to save themselves. His armies started to have the upper hand as they successful brought down the armies of Magnus to their kneels, how ever their king remained stubborn as he went after Maximilian, the only thing Magnus wished for right now was to bring hell to max! he wanted him to suffer like he had never before and he was just going to do that!

Their swords clashed against one another as it made a clinking sound and brought out a golden light, Magnus gritted his teeth as he glared at Maximilian while max also did the same and they started fighting. Magnus charged at max with full speed even though he was bleeding and his leg was paining him, he just had to fulfill this wish of his. His sword reached max left eye and he removed it from the socket making max scream out in agony as he held his left eye with the other hand.

While they were at it, the sky began to rumble and darkness began to envelope Sleasea as another set of monsters began to enter the show. Lucas's armies had brought down the city's gate and went towards the castle where the raid was going on, they joined with Magnus armies and helped in fighting Maximilian.

"I should have known this was coming, Ret-!" Maximilian couldn't finish his statement Lucas had grabbed him from the back with his bare hand, he turned max so he could meet his eyes.

"Re what? you aren't going anywhere Maximilian, all your evil deeds ends today and for the record, torrid is now joining with sleasea and the king remains Magnus" Lucas spat as he threw away Maximilian.

"Let me help you finish all of these" Lucas said with a smirk as he made a light clap with his hand and all of max armies were coming towards their king in rage, they were turned against one another and started fighting each other. In a blink of an eye, max armies were all dead, including their king that they trampled upon with their horses.

"Take this" Lucas said as he brought out another seal from his pocket, that was the seal of torrid. Magnus has both the Sleasea seal and torrid's, making him the king of both the kingdoms. Although the battle is over, Magnus wasn't happy at all, his wife and child were gone. The only person left in his family was Luna and she would also depart from him.

"I'm not going to take her right now, when she's eighteen, send her to my castle, I don't want to remind you of that or else the consequences would be grave, I have helped you in getting torrid and also defeating max and his soldiers" Lucas spoke as he straightened his coat.

"Lucas, can I ask for another favor?" Magnus asked with tears in his eyes, If there was anything he wanted to ask right now was that is there a way to bring back his wife and his daughter.

Lucas stared at him and for some unknown reasons, he reached for Magnus hand and slid his, he closed his eyes and mumbled some strange words. When he was done, he released his hand from Magnu's hand and began walking forward while his coat danced in the air due to the breeze, "Don't let me remind you Magnus, when she turns eighteen, send her to Hora, I'm pretty good at remembering things you know" He told him with his lips curved up in a smirk and with that, he vanished.

Magnus looked down at his hands and saw two strange blue pills. He wondered how he was going to use it because the giver didn't even bother to instruct him on how to.

Magnus wasn't sure about the idea of giving his daughter to Lucas, he has to do something. He couldn't give his child out especially to that cunning king of the demon's.

Walking towards his wife that laid in a pool of blood, he bent down an gently turned her over. His eyes filled with tears, he wasn't able to protect this woman, the love of his life, he had promised her parents to keep her safe but what did he do, he hurt her- so bad.

He placed his hands on her cheeks to gently caress it while his fingers pressed her mouth lightly to open up her lips then he placed the pill in it, Magnus wasn't sure that it would work because even till now, his wife hadn't shown any sign of opening her eyes.
