Stranded [19]
The person standing infront of me was.... "ARIA?", I asked. "What are you doing here?", I added. "Jin... you... took care of it... huh...", she sighed sadly. "Yeah, I did.", I said as I slowly came closer. A magic circle appeared under me. "What is this...?", I questioned. Aria looked at me sadly. "Sorry, Jin... but, I have to... you know, to survive... and keep my family safe.", she held her hand towards me. "Oh, great god of teleportation, send this speck away into a far away land. Grand... teleportation.", she chanted. The magic circle turned into a beam that went into the sky. "Please... don't harm them...", I said to Aria who just started crying. I was going to get my revenge, and it's going to be sweet.
As soon as the beam went away, I was in a dessert. "Great...", I thought. I opened the console and opened the "Map"-function. "I'm still in human territory... but... very far away... would take a few months to get back...", I sighed. "Ima just look for a nearby village.", I looked around the map and discovered a medium sized village, it seemed like there was also an adventurer's guild. I started walking there, but that wasn't easy. I sensed a monster attack from below, I quickly used shadow step to get behind a column of sand.
A giant centipede came out of the ground and shot up, it rushed at me now. "I'm totally not in the mood to play right now. Godly shield, activate.", I muttered. I phased through the centipede. "Output: uhh... 10.000%", I said as I focused a shadow dart in my hand. "Since no one is here, might aswell go all out.", I thought. I shot the dart at the centipede and my gosh, I shouldn't have done that. Everything in a 10 kilometer radius just shot up and exploded, basically like a nuclear bomb, and all that from just a novice spell.
I continued walking, the barrier had a normal temperature inside, not like the outside dessert. I still had some time to pass until I would arrive at the village, about 5 hours. I would arrive when it was night. I just walked and walked, fighting monsters (this time not with 10.000%), and thanks to my quick learning, I managed to learn their attack patters quite quickly, I also managed to learn how to predict attacks without my future sight.
"Right... I did mention I wanted to be betrayed by someone I have once trusted... when I created this story... was this it?", I asked myself as I walked further and further through the dessert. "I mean, I know I swore myself not to intervene with the story all too much... but I don't want to loose my friends.", I opened the console and looked for the option, "Story manipulation... I think fate manipulation would suit it better. Select individuals: Evie, Elara, Thorin, Emilia, Kael, Lyra, Lorien", I stopped for a second, "what about Aria... should I include her... I mean, she apologised... and said it was for her family...", I thought. I decided to add her too and then clicked on confirm. "Choose fate: Survive.", I said before I closed it again. This was necesarry from my viewpoint.
I walked further and further, still fighting these stupid centipedes. After I had killed one, I would store them in my console-storage, a near infinite space. After walking for 4 hours, I was finnaly beginning to see the walls, the sun was setting, I had one more hour to walk. I walked more and even more. I probably walked more than I ever did in my past life since I was always in my room. Luckly, due to the console, my stamina wasn't depleting, as well as that I don't have to eat, drink or sleep.
After what felt like an eternity, I arrived at the village. There were guards outside the walls. I approached them. "Who are you, kid.", one guy asked. "My name's Jin. Can I get in?", I asked. He shook his head. "What purpose.", he questioned. "I just need a place to sleep and stay at for a few days. Then I'll leave.", I said. "Besides, why is a kid like you out here at this time?", he asked. "Long story. I stepped in a teleportation trap... and got send into this... dessert.", I explained. "Kid, how in the world did you even survive the centipedes?", he chuckled. "Killed them.", I said coldly, "Can I get in now?"
The guards stopped laughing. "Killed them you say? We need proof.", he laughed. I opened up my storage and dropped out a few dead centipedes, then put them back into my storage. "Enough? Can I enter now?", I asked. They looked frightened. "S-Sure... kid.", I walked past them and entered the small city.
I went straight to the adventurer's guild. I went to the register, I could barely be seen as I'm only 4'9 in this body. A nice lady approached me, she was wearing a shield with the name "Laura", I muttered. "Is there any way I could rent a room for the next... 3 days?", I asked. Before she could answer, some old, drunk men came, one put his hand around my shoulder, still holding his beer. "Why's a puny little child in this house? You arewn't suppowsed to be hwere.", he said in a drunk tone. I pushed his hand off my shoulder. "So how much is the room.", I asked. "About... 3 silver coins each night.", she had a sweet smile, but I remembered I was broke. "... I got no money, right... well thanks anywa-", I was stopped by the guy pushing me against the counter.
"What? You wanna fight?", I asked. The receptionist quickly chimed in, "No, you can't he is an B-Rank adventurer.", she said. "Don't worry. I've faced worse. I also got some things to sell later if that's fine.", I said while dodging the fist of the guy. "I don't even need magic for his drunk ass.", I noted. I landed a quick jab followed with a cross, then I did two hooks and ended it with a uppercut. The man was knocked out. His friends were about to storm at me but a loud voice said: "Enough.", everyone froze.
A person wearing a red cape and silver armor with gold-whiteish hair entered through the door, a few people were with him, an elf archer, she looked kinda like Emilia but older. A black haired human mage, she had a black robe and had a wooden staff with a ruby in it, a dwarf that wielded an axe, and a blond haired guy in a white robe, he looked like a healer. The guys that were about to fight me just dropped to their knees and ran out while I was still standing infront of the guy I just knocked out.
"What is going on here.", the guy said. "They just fucking attacked me and I attacked back. It's as simple as that.", I said. The receptionist leaned over and whispered in my ear "These guys are S-Rank adventurers...", I simply nodded. I turned back to the receptionist, "Like I said, I have things to sell.", I told her. "Alright, would you mind following me outside so we can see what you have?", I nodded and followed her.
The other few people followed me, I don't know why but I didn't ask. We arrived at a open field which was quite suprising, a grass field in a desert... I dropped about 20 of the 200 centipedes on the field. "That... HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GET SO MANY? WHAT KILLED THEM?", she asked. "I did. And just so you know, I have a "few" more.", I smiled. "What is that "few" you are talking about?", she questioned. "About 180 more.", her jaw dropped, the adventurers behind me also seemed impressed. "Would you mind putting all of them here... so we can pay you accordingly?", The receptionist asked. I did as she said and laid all of them out. "Well, this is going to be atleast a few gold coins, so yes, you can stay at a room here for tonight. But I have to ask, how did you kill all of them? Who was with you, no, what monster was with you?", she asked sceptically. "I was alone. I killed them all with magic.", I said as I turned around and followed another guild worker that would show me my room.
The adventurers were still following me, even when I was at my room. I stopped them at my door. "We want you in our squad.", he said. "Come on, I'm only 10, my birthday is in 2 weeks.", I said. "Doesn't matter. You clearly are strong, we want you. I can sense it from everywhere, you are simply strong, your magical presence, how you took down that B-Rank in just 5 strikes, with your mere fists... you are just strong, so please accompany us.", he pleaded.
