"Like I care. You can't even do anything against us, wonder child.", he said while taking out a weird, yellow glowing cube. "What is that.", I demanded to know. "Nothing much, just a magic sealing device.", he stated casually. "Kid, I wasn't joking when I said you were going to die.", he added. The cube began spinning and flew into the sky, casting a barrier around the whole school.

I walked over to Kael, "I'll take this for now.", I declared as I picked up his sword. "If I can't use magic, I'll just resort to the medieval measures.", I said. "The... what? Doesn't matter. PREPARE TO DIE!", he screamed as he readied a giant fire ball. "FLY AND SEEK OUT MY TARGETS; INFERNO BALL!", the middle guy screamed, the fire ball grew and grew. The one on the left screamed out, "SHATTER AND DESTROY, MOTHER EARTH!", a cone of earth formed and turned to me and the one on the right just screamed "FRY MY OPPONENTS, 1000 VOLT CHARGE!", a bolt of lightning formed and shot at me, as all of them came closer I just readied the sword.

I swung the sword at the fireball and cut it straight in half, I dodged the other two attacks and blocked the lightning bolt, imbuing the sword with lightning, I then caught the cone of earth in my other hand and crushed it. All cultists and students looked madly impressed. "Very well done, child. We have an offer for you.", a cultist announced. "Alright, go on.", I said quickly. "Join us, join the Oxus cult and we will let you and every other student go.", he boasted. "Like I give a shit about your little cult. Just because you can't defeat me you now try to get me on your side? Let me tell you something, I'd rather die than join your fucking cult, I won't betray the people that mean something to me, asshole.", they all looked shocked and the students laughed at them. "SHUT UP! WITH THAT YOU HAVE SEALED YOUR DEATH, CHILD!", he screamed. "Kinda weird that that's like the 2nd or 3rd time you said that but still haven't done that. I'm waiting, dumbass.", I countered, the students laughed more and the cultists got more and more enraged.

I opened the console... "Let's see... speed, strenght perhaps... and durability, yeah that should work.", I said as I buffed thos attributes. I dashed at a very fast speed at them that it looked like I teleported, but intead of cutting them down, I jumped off him and cut the yellow cube in half, making me able to use magic again. "Now, you're the one who fucked up, just like I said." I looked into the crowd, Emilia was beaming and was cheering for me, at the sight of her, I just smiled. "Looks like you got some fans, would be a shame if I blasted them away, right?", he said as he clucked like a chicken. "Nah, you couldn't even, besides, you sound like a chicken right now with that ugly ass laugh.", I mused. He just got more and more enraged as he charged up another inferno ball. "FLY AND SEEK OUT MY TARGETS; INFERNO BALL!", he screamed. "Not this shit again, come on, can you only use this spell?", I mocked him. He shot the ball at the crowd of students but I simply casted a barrier and the fireball got send back at him. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO!", he screamed as the fireball kept approaching him. "Oh, you know, just added a bit of flexibility to the barrier and now it can deflect. Quite simple actually.", I continued. The cultist in the middle focused all his mana to create a barrier to block the fireball and succeded. "Shadow bolt.", I simply said. I shot the shadow bolt at him and it pierced his chest. "Oh come on, you guys are weaker than Lorien.", I mocked. "Besides, how could Kael and Lyra in a team loose against you three?", I added.

"DAMN YOU, CHILD!", the one on the left screamed. I simply sighed. "Gosh, you guys are a nuisence. Well, it can't be helped. "Umbral Shackles.", I said as shadowy chains wrapped around the 2 cultists, the shackles were sourrounded by a aura of shadow and they rendered them unable to move or casts spells. "Will you shut the fuck up now? Please, your voice is annoying.", I said. They fletched their teeth at me. "LET US GO! WE WILL LEAVE!", he said finnaly.

"Yeah... nah, I'm going to wait here until the headmaster arrives.", I said to them as I made a hand out of shadow come up and seal their mouthes. "Ahh, silence, great.", I remarked as I walked over to Lyra. "You good? How could you have lost against them?", I asked. She looked away, "We underestimated them quite a lot. Also it was more... on the luckier side... for them. They just somehow managed to hit me because I wasn't paying any attention... and Kael had to protect me while I healed myself.", she answered. "Ah, I think I get it now.", I said. "Can you help Kael? He looks worse than you.", I questioned. "But I don't have any mana left...", she groaned. "No worries.", I stated as I placed my hand on her shoulder and let my mana flow into her. She stood up and started to heal Kael.

Just then the headmaster arrived with a few adventurers. "Thank you, Jin. You quite literally saved out asses.", he sighed. "No problem at all, just this time they aren't unconcious, I've closed their mouthes with my shadow aswell as sealed their magic for about 10 minutes, so do something until then.", I warned. I turned back to Kael and Lyra. "You two have done well." I turned to Lorien. "But you have done good too, Lorien. Without you, I wouldn't have been here in time. Good job.", I remarked and put a thumbs up. "Take care~", I added as I walked over to Emilia.

"You good?", I asked her. She nodded eagerly. "Yeah, totally, thanks to you I am, you were so cool you were like poof and baam and pew and then like-" "Okay I get it. No worries about it. You really fine?", I questioned again. "Mhm, I am. Thank you for saving me.", she said again. "Man I really did grow, kinda cool that I am now taller than you instead of your height. You are like a child to me!", I said. "I'm older.", she responded coldly. "Okay, sheesh, no need to be so cold.", I lamented as I ruffled through her hair.

"Come on, let's go to our dorm, I'll cook some curry.", I said. "Really? Thank you, Jin! You really are a great friend, first you protect me, then you cook for me, what's next? You do school for me?", she chuckled. "Yeah, nah, I don't think I'll go that far.", I groaned

We arrived at our dorm and I got straight into the kitchen and started making some curry. We sat down and ate, it was good as usual mostly because I had to cook often in my past life due to my mother's illness back then. We both got ready for bed. We brushed our teeth and I showered.

In the middle of the night, a thunderstorm was outside. I heard some shrieks as each thunder arrived. "Something wrong?", I looked over to her and saw her shiver. "Don't tell me... YOU ARE SCARED OF THUNDER AND LIGHTNING?", I laughed. "I- I am, Idiot...", she confessed. "Let me get this straight, you are a lightning mage but are scared of... lightning? Kinda weird if you ask me.", I mumbled. "SHUT UP!", she screamed but shrieked because another thunder happened.

"Come on, chill out. I am here, you saw me today, I protected you, right? Just calm down and go to sleep. I promise I won't fall asleep first.", I told her and she closed her eyes, I turned to my side... but instantly fell asleep and started snoring loudly. "... ARE YOU SERIOUS, JIN!", I woke up due to her screaming again. "YOU JUST SAID YOU WOULDN'T FALL ASLEEP, IT HAS BEEN 10 SECONDS AND YOU ALREADY FELL ASLEEP!?", she continued. "Womp womp.", I simply said. "If you're so scared, come sleep in my bed.", I teased her. "Okay.", she said ice cold. "Wait- it was... just a joke.", I told her. "No.", she dismissed as she climed over in my bed. This was akward, it was the first time I was sharing a bed with a girl, and then it was... a 10 year old girl... "Yeah, nah, this isn't going... to... work...", I wanted to say but she was asleep already so I just turned the opposite way and tried to fall asleep too.
