"I hereby pronounce you free from your onion duty," Nessa was more than glad to be relieved of her onion chore.
She sniffed her hair "Eww! I reek of onions!" Her gaze showed she held her mother responsible for this.
"A good chef never complains of the side effects of nature's gift," Jenny said with a straight face while Nessa gritted her teeth. Was this woman really her mother?
"Ugh!" She screamed and stomped back to her room for a quick shower. After bathing and making sure the lavender scent shampoo was overpowering the onions smell, Nessa air-dried her hair and as she waited for her hair, her thoughts began to wander.
Her dad was returning? Why was he returning home this time? He hardly ever comes at all. You see, her father is the personal assistant to a famous corporation CEO who demands punctuality and perfectionism. In one word, he hardly returns home.
