Another Meeting..?

Noctis

Weighed down by sleep my eyes slowly opened revealing the plain old ceiling of the hotel. I laid still for a while allowing my brain to power up, when it did I rubbed my eyes and let out a deep, long yawn. Instantly I felt a bit more awake.

I looked over to where Arlecchino's bed was, only to see that she was still in a deep sleep. As she was asleep I was finally able to get a good look at her features without getting her judgmental looks.

Her skin looked pale, but not sickly. Her eyelashes were perfectly long and dark. Her hair was snow white with black streaks, I couldn't explain why but this perfectly fit her as a person.

As I observed her sleeping form my gaze traced along her arms, an ash black, which I thought was gloves, covered her arms and hands. I wondered what it could've been for what felt like an eternity but I couldn't find any solution that felt right.

The texture on her arms suited her in a way and the most reasonable solution I could come up with was that it was a kind of fashion choice.

I shook myself out of my thoughts and looked away from her sleeping body, not wanting to seem like a creep if she woke up to me staring at her.

Instead I started to think about Fontaine's Ieudx. In the meeting we had with Furina he mainly did all of the talking despite Furina being the 'Archon'. This could mean many things such as, Furina is shy, Furina isn't the Archon and Neuvilette is, Furina is the Archon but Neuvilette holds more authority.

I severely doubt it's the first option since Furina participates in court cases and theatre shows. However, I also doubt that Neuvilette is the Hydro Archon because he doesn't seem social enough.

Then that means Furina is most likely the Archon and Neuvilette is more important. But, Neuvilette is just the Iedux of Fontaine..? How could he ever be more important than a God, even if they are fakes.

"-tis, -octis!" I look over to my left to see Arlecchino sitting up in her bed giving me a confused expression.

I sent a small smile before talking.

"What is it?" She seemed extremely confused and even a bit worries for a second.

"What is it?? I called your name about nine times why are you just staring at a wall!?" I blinked a few times before speaking. Now it makes sense why she looked confused....

"Oh... I got lost in my thoughts. I was thinking about Neuvilette." A smile spread across Arlecchino's lips.

"you got a crush on him or something?" I stared blankly at her for a second taking a deep breath, ignoring her teasing.

"I'm sorry to say this but I'm not gay." Her eyes narrowed as if she was suspicious.

"Sure... I've literally only seen you get along with Childe and he acts pretty gay."

"I think he's like bisexual or something actually." I said in a monotone with a blank expression which caused Arlecchino to  stifle a laugh.

"and why's that?" Arlecchino didn't even try to hide the fact she was completely interested.

"Well for one he has Zhongli in Liyue and-" Before I could finish my sentence I was stopped by Arlecchino who had to make me confirm what I but said...

"So he has a boyfriend already?!"

"Something like that."

"I'm so gonna bully him with this information."

"He's also got the Traveller, though I don't know how she feels about him." Arlecchino's eyes widened a bit.

"If she's sane she will run while she can."

"I don't think she has to since he disappeared..." a look of remembrance crossed Arlecchino's face and she laughed.

"I forgot about that." She said with tears in her eyes due to laughing so hard. In her fit of laughing sobs I could've sworn I heard her say Ed Sheeran.

Now that I think back on it, why did I decide I hated Arlecchino overall from this one trip it seems she isn't an annoying person I should hate at all.

She's a good person hosting an orphanage and also fighting to protect her home nation against a prophecy which could turn out to be incorrect.

She's intelligent, devising meetings to put pressure on an Archon to fix their problems and even figuring out that said Archon doesn't have the Gnosis. Also she is extremely strong, proof being her Harbinger rank. At my current power she may cause me some trouble even if I use my element, unlike Childe...

Overall I don't see any reasons I should hate her like I decided I did... Was I just being a brat deciding I hate her for no reason at all? At most she ignored me and because of that I decided to hate her?

Arlecchino

As I took a deep breath to calm myself down from laughing so hard a low regretful voice rang through my ears. Confused Iook towards Noctis who was staring down at his lap.

"I'm sorry Arlecchino."

"Sorry for what?" I asked, slightly suspicious not sure if this was some kind of trick.

"I'm sorry for being a brat and deciding I hated you before I even got to know you."

"I don't blame you at all Noctis, to many people I will seem distant and cold. This is because I like to keep a professional image. So, if you decided to hate me it can only be my fault for being too distant or cold."

I took a breath and then continued to talk.

"don't get me wrong I'm still a cold person but I can be a little less cold." a small smile crept onto my face and I notice Noctis smiled to."

"It's still partly my fault for not trying to get to know you." He said with the smile still plastered on his face.

"Oh 100%, I'm a wonderful woman after all." I said with a teasing smile causing him to chuckle.

"At least from now on you can officially say we are friends" he teased back.

"You say that as if having you as a friend is a great achievement rather than a burden" I shot back rolling my eyes in exaggeration.

"Oh but of course it is, it is a great achievement to befriend someone such ad me!" he exclaimed in a dramatized tone.

"Well then, I thank you for bestowing such a gift upon me, my dear lord Noctis." I shot back my tone even more dramatized than his.

"Ugh! don't ever do that again I feel like Phanes..." he aggrandized, with disgust in his tone. I couldn't tell whether we were still messing around or if I had actually offended him somehow.

"Phanes?" I titled my head curious about the specific and strange connection.

"Never mind it." But he just shook it off like it was nothing. For some reason he also seemed to be in a worse mood now.

"I want to have another meeting with the Iedux Neuvilette, do you think you could have it arranged?" He asked out of the blue bewildering me slightly. I may have only travelled with Noctis for a few days but I can tell it's not normal for him to suddenly want to do something relating to a mission so quickly.

"If I say it's a personal request from a Harbinger it should be high priority, but even then Neuvilette is a busy man and it could take up to 3 days minimum for him to read the request. Even then he may deny it.

"That's fine as long as he reads the meeting request."

"May I know why you're suddenly so interested in speaking to Neuvilette?" he looked over to me and his eyes narrowed slightly.

"We theorised he may be the Archon I want to debunk it. That's all there is to it." I don't fully believe him when he says that's all their is to it but I will respect his privacy. If he didn't tell me it must be personal.

"Alright, I will get dressed and go over to Palais Marmonia to put in a meeting request."

"Thank you. Since you offered to go I will wait here." He said with a mischievous smile.

"Fine..." I grabbed my clothes which I had hung near my bed to dry because of yesterday and walked in the bathroom to change.

I walked into the Palais Marmonia and towards the melusine at the reception. Said melusine was lightly humming as they did some paperwork.

"Hello?" I said causing the melusine to look up towards me.

"Oh Hello, I am sorry I said just working OK a few things. How can I help you?"

"I would like to arrange a high priority meeting with Neuvilette."

"Uhm Monsieur Neuvilette is an extremely busy person even if he does accept the meeting it could take months for an available time slot."

"It's a request from a Harbinger."

"That's definitely high priority, Well, I will deliver the request as asked of you but I have no guarantee he will accept."

"That's fine."

"We will need your current address so we can send you a letter of his answer." I write down the hotel address on the little leaflet they gave me and handed it to the melusine.

"Is that all you need?" the melusine asked while tilting her head. I gave her calm nod in response.

"Then we are done here. I hope you enjoy your day!"

I said goodbye and left the Palais Marmonia heading back towards the Hotel room. Noctis so owes me back, he could've easily gone and done that himself...

As I walked through the streets of Fontaine I tried to think of a reason that could've annoyed Noctis back when we were in the hotel room. The only thing I could understand is that he didn't like feeling similar to Phanes. But who is Phanes, there name sounds so familiar I just can't put my finger on it.

I Arrived at our hotel door and make out a glowing purple light coming from underneath the door. Something inside the room was causing an alien glow. Only Noctis should be in the room so it must be his doing.

I quickly open the door trying to catch him off guard but he is just laying on his bed as if nothing had ever happened.

"What was that..?" I said suspiciously, Noctis turned to me with a confused expression and spoke.

"What was what?" I looked around the room for anything that could've caused the luminescent glow but I couldn't find anything.

"don't bullshit me. What was that glow!" he released a light sigh before speaking.

"You can't tell anyone okay... I've being trying to keep it under wraps." My eyes narrowed and I continued scrutinising him, my suspicions raising slightly.

I watched as Noctis held out his arm, palm facing the ceiling. I was confused on what he was trying to do but I continued watching without interrupting.

The soft hum of electricity resounded in my ears and I watch as a small ball of purple lightning began to form in Noctis' palm. The lightning danced around in his palm nipping the air in the room. Other than nipping at the air and dancing in his palm the electro energy was calm, as if he had complete authority over it.

I watched a Noctis close his palm around the energy and it sizzled away as if nothing was ever there.

"you have a vision!?" he reluctantly nodded and my eyes went wide with revelation.

"You became the sixth harbinger without using any elements, yet you can use elements..."  My mind rushed as I searched for an answer but wherever I looked I couldn't find even a hint let alone an answer. It would be impossible to predict how much power this person in front of me held. Hell for all I know he could rival the top three Harbingers...

(A/N) hope you all enjoyed the chapter. Sorry if there is a lot of mistakes...
