"I like to think of myself of a walking accident waiting to happen. I'm like the human version of a sitcom character, always in the wrong place at the wrong time and still always managing to make things more hilariously awkward, as it already is." Daisy Thompson has always embraced her inner dork, navigating the social labyrinth of high school with a mix of awkward charm and a talent for finding trouble. but when she decides to spend the holidays going on adventures, only one awaits her. the massive adventure of love. Their first meeting is nothing short of disastrous-think flying coffee cups and a runaway squirrel with a pack of lunch. Daisy's convinced she'll never live it down, especially when she discovers Justin is not just any model but the face of the latest global ad campaign that everyone, including her new classmates, and best friend seems obsessed with. But fate has a funny way of bringing people together. Despite their differences, they find themselves drawn to each other, discovering a connection that's both heartwarming and uproariously funny. And Justin, amidst the chaos of his high-flying career, finds solace in Daisy's authenticity and humor. Join Daisy and Justin on a rollercoaster ride of teenage romance, where every mishap is a new adventure and love might just be the craziest thing they've encountered yet.
"I'll take a few shots to," He got his air quotes ready, "Dazzle the 'board' over, and then you'll come in for a studio shoot with Justin to check out your compatibility." Harry twinkled his brows in my face, grinning. "How does that sound, my dear pumpkin nuts?"
Okay, pumpkin nuts? How many weird fruit combinations is he going to use on me in one day?
"Wait, what?" Justin asked, leaning closer. "You didn't…"
"Hush, mon cherie!" He yelled, placing the camera in my face. He snapped shot after shot of me as I staggered back, grabbing my bag off the counter.
"No. I… I shouldn't do this."
"Exactly what I want, Mama Mia! Give me horror!!" He yelled, not quite getting it.
"No. I re… really have to leave. I… I can't do this. I can't do this to Tori…"
"And now mercy!" Harry yelped. "Oh, coco nuts, you are full of surprises!"
"I… I have to find Tori. Now. Immediately! Affirmatively!!"
Affirmatively? Okay, you have every reason to freak out and NOT talk gibberish while doing it. I backed away from them, scanning the halls for any sign of sequin and freedom.
"Daisy!" Justin yelled. I spun around to stare at his soft, pleading eyes. He tucked his hand in one pocket. "Don't go. Yet."
Can't do this, Daisy. Yes, he's gorgeous, but you CAN'T be here. Have to find Tori. HAVE to find Tori.
I shot him the saddest smile. "I'm… I'm sorry. I… I have to go."
"Perfetto!" Harry exclaimed, rolling on, snapping shots of me running down the hall and out into the open, airy sky.
"This is exactly what I want," Harry said, poring over Daisy's latest shots. "Beauty at its flawless, natural best," He whispered. Justin leaned over to stare at his now-Daisy-crazed agent.
"What is going on, Harry?"
Harry looked up and let out a deep, dramatic breath, gasping and slamming his eyes shut to take in the… cinnamon?… filling the air.
"A…" He let out another breath, turning to smile at Justin. "A transformation, dearie me."
"But she just left," He said, staring at the exit. Harry let out a motivated breath.
"But not for long. Magic, crusty pie, always finds you."
"Magic always finds you," Justin whispered, nodding. "I like that. Did you get that from some cheesy movies you've been watching with Trevor?" Harry shot him a look of horror, gasping and holding his hand to his mouth.
"Oh, you cheeky brat!" He said, slapping him on the back and tugging him down the corridor. "Hurry on now! Can't keep Gucci waiting."
"And Prada. Then Dolce and Gabbana, right?" Justin said with a cheeky smile. Harry rolled his eyes.
"Show-off."
