Something Missing.

Rui decided to take things easy today. After his last job he made a bit of money to relax for a while, a privilege he learnt to enjoy whenever he can. With the money he collected he set off to explore the new world he entered. He hadn't the time to do it much, given he was either doing his job or training to maintain his fitness.

He figured a walk around the neighborhood would suffice. Donning a bright white shirt, long black pants, and black sneakers he set off from his apartment.

A casual stroll through the park, or a more exciting walk through the hustling and bustling markets? Or maybe something in between, a walk in the streets? He decided to let his feet decide.

Once he was down at level one, his feet decided to take the third option and walk in the streets. There were not too many people in the streets, seeing as how it is noon time on a weekday and many of the students are still in school. He passed by shops selling a myriad of items ranging from electronics to toys, from a PC Café to an adult toy store.

This place was really resourceful. But there was a certain kick to it that was lacking. Rui couldn't put his finger on it. That thing was not big enough that it left a huge enough hole to damage Rui but it was big enough to bug him about it.

'Was it a martial arts dojo? I think it is! I vividly remember coming in just to destroy their morale and spirits.'

Rui took out his newly acquired phone he received from Giran and typed into the search engine to locate a martial arts gym. He couldn't wait to see if this world will throw any new challenges at him or the same thing will happen again. The lack of strong enough competition to give him a good time.

The search results showed a nearby gym called Yaoyorozu's Gym. It is apparently owned by the Yaoyorozu family, a prominent family in the hero business whose members range from being heroes to support item makers. But where they truly excel at is business, evident by their number of shops and business under their name.

Rui entered the gym and his nose was immediately bombarded with a very pleasant smell of lavender and sweet orange. He spotted a bunch of adults gathered on a specific blue mat, wearing sweat filled clothes. He approached them with swaggering confidence and the intent to crush them all.

Rui leaned against a pillar spectating the soon to be pile of bodies. His presence caught the attention of the instructor who was in the middle of showing his students a rather advanced take down technique.

"Can I help you sir?" the instructor asked Rui.

The presence Rui gave off was unsettling. It was a subtle yet strong one, like a tiger whose claws are yet to be protruded (A/N: a proverb in my native language lol).

"Oh, nothing. I'm just here to watch. I've been going around gyms and dojos in hoped for good competition but so far it was disappointing,' Rui looks down and swishes his right leg on the ground in an attempt to look childish and naïve, 'do you think I can get satisfying competition here?"

The instructor hesitated before giving an answer. He had a job to do in the prestigious gym, especially when he is teaching heroes, but the looks of his students showed that they were itching for battle.

"Uh yeah sure. I guess. How old are you by the way?" he asked.

"Oh, I am eighteen this year sir," Rui lied. He was seventeen.

"Okay, are you sure you want to go up against them? Some of them are pro heroes and sidekicks." He tried to scare off Rui to get back to the regularly scheduled program but Rui was not bothered.

"Oh, no worries. I would be fine."

Rui takes off his shoes and sets them aside. In his body, blood courses through a tiny bit more aggressive, his heart beats a tiny bit faster, and his mouth forms a haughty smirk.

His first opponent is a lady around the same height as him. To her, Rui is a boy who needs to learn his place. What was he thinking sparring with professional heroes?

"Remember, no quirks allowed. Start!" the instructor gave the signal.

She rushed in to quickly take down the arrogant boy and put him in his place. She wanted it to be over.

But to her surprise, she felt her right hand being numb and Rui was not in front of her. Then, her left knee bent involuntary and she also couldn't feel any feeling in it. She tried moving both limbs but was unable to.

"Winner is… sorry what is your name? Rui? Okay. Winner is Rui!" the instructor announced.

The lady was shocked. She hadn't comprehended what had happened but apparently she lost?

After that match, Rui breezed through the rest of the students with ease while using Gentle Fist, an art that does not take too much strength.

"WOW! Are you in any hero school?" the instructor asked after seeing all his students get decimated (Quite ironic really, not helping his students but instead be interested in the opposition but to each his own).

"Uhm, no sir."

"Well, are you a pro hero then?"

"No to that either."

Shocked, the instructor said, "well why aren't you? You have amazing skill!"

"Well that is because actually, I am a vigilante, or criminal as society calls it. Well okay got to go! Bye!" he said as he sprints away from the gym while smiling gleefully.
