Chapter 15

There were 10 armored cars driving on the roads of Tokyo Bay.

The buildings in the area they were driving in were surprisingly not destroyed, they were in a good condition, enough to house people.

Some of the armored cars had anti aircraft weapons on them while one of them was a straight up tank.

Jake and Torai were sitting on the tank that was at the back of the march and they were looking forward.

Torai said. "This reminds me of my days in the middle east. I would have never expected that Tokyo would turn into an actual warzone."

"I don't think anyone would expect this kind of thing either, it's all thanks to that being that turned our world this way."

"Strangely enough Tokyo is the only city in Japan who turned out like this, I knew they had a lot of weaponry but I didn't expect them to be so daring to come out and take the first chance they had."

"The old man sure is cunning, because of him I had to lose an arm."

The old man they were talking about is the father of the Yakuza, Tsukishiro Retsushi.

Torai told him about the leader when they joined and about his cruel nature.

There's no use talking about the old man other then the fact that he is a very experienced and intelligent man, his physical feats are nonexistent.

Jake looked in his inventory and looked at all of the weapons he got from those kids, they were three C graded and one B graded.

The B-graded one is just a pair of bare knuckles that increases your strength the more blood you spill with it, while it looks good it has a cap limit of 1.5 multiplier so it's only good if you have two hands, which Jake doesn't have.

He still decided to hold onto them if anything will require a bare knuckle in the future, the other C-graded weapons are two swords and one metal bat that's made out of some tough material.

Now the metal bat was good to use against tougher opponents where slash attacks don't work against.

He already had one glove on his hand so you knew he was serious about pushing the Yakuza back.

After driving for about an hour they finally arrived in an area where the city started to look like a warzone, the sound of gunshots was present almost all the time and the same could be said about explosions that happened from time to time.

Destroyed buildings, rubble everywhere and the smell of ash and gunpower penetrated their noses.

*BOOM* *SWOOSH*

The sound of a big firearm going off resounded in the area and a bullet was sent exactly towards Jake's head.

It didn't even get to hit his head because two fingers caught the bullet in mid air.

Jake had his palm wide open waiting for the bullet to enter it but it looks like Torai caught the bullet before he could catch it.

Jake got up on his feet and said. "Looks like we entered the place where the Yakuza managed to get to."

Torai too got up on his feet and said. "There are more players who use skills like I said, we have to take care of them personally."

"Yeah, I already saw some people hiding in the alleys."

"I'll go check the rooftops."

After he said that Torai disappeared from his spot and appeared high up in the air going towards a building.

*BAM*

He grabbed onto a window and then launched himself upwards from window to window until he finally got on the rooftop of a ten story building.

Jake had his ninjato over his shoulder and he said. "I didn't even give any orders, but I'll just let him be since he has first-hand experience with these kinds of situations."

*SWOOSH*

Jake swung his sword and a 8 meters wide slash was sent towards one of the dark alleys on his right.

He looked at his sword and said. "Looks like a bigger sword makes bigger slashes, good to know."

While the slash was bigger and stronger it wasn't as easy as swinging a knife around.

*SWOOSH* *SWOOSH* *SWOOSH* ....

He swung his sword in any direction he sensed people with animosity directed towards him.

They could even be behind a wall, it was no problem. The slash would just get straight through the wall.

While the slash isn't long enough or strong enough to cut apart a whole building he still can reach people who are hiding.

From time to time, there were people being sent flying from atop of buildings like puppets.

It was Torai taking care of everybody who had a higher ground.

You could say that Torai hit the lottery when it came to skills.

His first skill improved his speed if he wasn't fast enough before, and the B-graded skill he bought made him stronger and tougher.

Be aware, skills that are directly combat oriented cost more then the ones who have other uses.

So you can imagine how many people he has killed in order to get enough skills to sell knowing fully well the chances of their skill dropping being inexistent.

But he most probably got them from selling items that he looted from his enemy's inventory's.

And before getting skills, he was probably the strongest human alive. He was practically invincible and the scars on his body are proof of that.

He has tons of healed bullet scars all over his body. His back, chest and upper arm are covered in Yakuza tattoos that are somewhat similar to Jake's.

>>>>

Jake was on the ground with his ninjato over his shoulder, there were countless men in suits on the ground, dead besides him.

Enemy armored cars were cut in half or even fully destroyed.

Torai was near him looking at the pile of bodies on the ground.

Jake looked at the corpses on the ground and said. "They were stronger then I expected, looks like these guys came prepared here."

"Yeah, but it looks like they all had the same skills. They were all able to spout that fire out of their mouths."

"They said something along the lines of Katon or something."

"The fire was pretty hot, but it was slow.

A strong attack that can't hit the target is an useless attack."

It was already night, sign of them fighting for hours.

And even if they did fight for hours, it sure didn't look like they were exhausted. Since the time between the groups attacked was enough for them to take breaks.

A lot of people are being recruited into JK everyday, most of them are again, people who want to fight the Yakuza.

Torai sat down on a car that was cut in half and said. "Say, aren't you getting tired of fighting all the time.

To me it feels like you're sad.

You don't do anything outside of violence, you don't drink, you don't smoke, and you don't have sex.

You're never having fun."

Jake's eyes widened and he realized what a sad life he has been living this week.

Even if it was only one week for him it felt like months or even ages have passed.

Jake too sat down on a tank and said. "I am, I am tired of constant fighting all the time.

Even if I take pleasure in inflicting violence on my enemies it still doesn't fill the hole in my heart.

But do you think I can do anything besides fighting all the time in these times?

The only ones who are really strong from JK are the two of us, the rest can't even reach the sole of our foot.

If I want to make JK be the strongest group out there I can't take time to relax. Until the guild can operate without me I won't be able to take a break.

And the only fast way of doing this is to kill the enemy leader, which is very hard and it involves risk.

Plus the hardest thing to do is to locate that old man, otherwise that incident will just happen again."

Torai looked at Jake and thought. 'I guess that's the burden of being the leader of a large organization, good thing I don't want to be in his position.'

"Talking about JK, the hierarchy is a little messed up to those below you.

Now that Jason and Kazami are dead that means that no one will be able to keep them in check anymore."

"Another headache, huh?

I'll have to nitpick every position in order to create a good hierarchy.

I think at this point it's safe to call JK a cult.

I'm the leader, obviously.

You will be the my right hand man.

Then there will come the elders who are straight up executives.

And then the foot soldiers whose ranks will be handled by the executives."

"Wait! Do I have to do anything special as the right hand man? I don't like politics."

"I don't like politics either, and no, you will not have to do anything that might bother you.

You'll just be Jason's replacement."

"That's not good either! Jason used to do everything you told him to do!

He was basically the one managing the whole guild while you were doing your own thing."

"Well, sucks to be you then.

You'll have to find another person to do your chores if you don't want to become the manager of JK.

But make sure to find capable people within a week since we'll need to go on quests.

And no need to be stressed, if the whole organization falls while we are on a mission we can just start over again."

Torai sighed out of relief.

Jake looked at Torai with his pitch black eyes and said. "But that doesn't mean you won't do your job seriously for picking capable people, if you do it in a half-assed manner you can expect the worst to happen to you."

Torai said with a cold expression on his face. "I will do it, but don't expect me to not defend myself if you ever decide to come after me.

I am not someone you can just kill, you know.

At least I would take your other arm too."

Jake's face darkened and you couldn't even see the part of his face that was visible anymore, it was like a shadow was covering it.

"You shouldn't get too ahead of yourself.

I may lose an arm if we fight to the death but you will still be the one to die.

Jake turned around and said while looking backwards. "If you do your job right we will never have to fight since I don't kill people for no reason."

While Torai is somewhat loyal to Jake he won't sit tight and wait for his death if something happens.

Torai smiled and said with an intense expression. "You don't have to worry, I have never failed a mission in my entire life."

Jake closed his eyes and said. "Alright, let's go back for now since our job is done. The Yakuza probably won't attack for some days since they took a huge blow today."

Torai closed his eyes and said. "Yeah, you're right."

Jake started walking away with Torai behind him.
