Chapter 64

Chapter 64 Dream

The stars and moon hung upside down on the smooth, mirror-like sea, with the rippling waves gently rocking the boat like a cradle, lulling everyone on board to sleep.

Suddenly, Samwell felt a pull from the sky, as if something was attracting his mind. He looked up and ran towards it. At first, he strolled, but then he ran faster and higher.

The cool sea breeze whispered in his ears, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get closer to the sky.

Stopping suddenly, Samwell looked down and saw the entire starry sky reflecting on the sea's surface, with a small sea ship above it.

"I am flying!"

He finally realized. He swooped down sharply, skimming across the sea until he saw a steep ridge rushing into view.

The red rock looked like a sharp claw stained with blood, making his heart beat faster. He took a deep breath and plunged into the forest. Countless fresh smells overwhelmed him - squirrels hiding in tree holes, wild snakes hiding in bushes, and elk standing up vigilantly in caves.

He had an instinctive urge to hunt, but he resisted and moved on.

The woods and hills stretched on endlessly, and Samwell was lost in the never-before-seen wonderful experience. Suddenly, the mountain wind became restless, and the trees gradually thinned out.

A huge weirwood appeared out of nowhere, its lush branches and leaves covering the sky and moon, making him feel a little fear.

The next moment, the huge and ancient human face carved on the weirwood suddenly opened its eyes. With a loud boom, Samwell woke up in his bed, as if struck by lightning.

  "Huh—huh—"

Samwell panted heavily, only to realize that he was covered in cold sweat.

  This dream... so real.

Having calmed down, Samwell realized he was no longer feeling sleepy.

After getting up and taking a sip of water, he opened the hatch and came to the deck.

The night was dark, only the sound of the waves beating gently could be heard.

Samwell walked casually on the deck, thinking about the dream just now.

After turning a corner, he suddenly found that there was another person in front of him—

  Natalie.

The girl leaned on the ship's side, looked up at the crescent moon in the sky, the soft starlight shone on her face, and outlining her delicate figure.

"Can't you sleep too?" Samwell asked as he walked over.

When Natalie turned her head and saw that it was Samwell, she immediately turned her head away, snorted softly, and ignored him.

"Yo? You're still angry about what happened yesterday."

Natalie snorted again, still ignoring the nasty man beside her.

"Do you know why I didn't take you to the Dayne family's castle?"

Natalie didn't act this time, and seemed to want to know the answer to this question.

It's just that the tsundere little girl didn't want to take the initiative to ask.

"Because you are so beautiful." Samwell said with a smile.

He still knows how to coax a woman.

Sure enough, Natalie was stunned for a moment, then quickly turned her head to look at Samwell, and then turned away immediately:

  "Liar!"

"As a knight, I never lie."

Two red clouds appeared on Natalie's cheeks. She turned her head coyly, and asked in a low voice,

"Why can't i enter the castle just because i'm beautiful?"

"Why did you and your mother always wear veils?"

" In order to block those men's preverted eyes..." Natalie seemed to understand in the middle of her speech, and pouted, "Then I can put on the veil again and follow you."

"That's too rude." Samwell shook his head: "And what qualifications do you have to wear a veil in front of the men of the Dayne family? Do you really think of yourself as a princess?"

Natalie lowered her head aggrievedly, but she also knew that the other party was telling the truth, so she stopped arguing up.

But a hint of sweetness suddenly rose in her heart.

'He was afraid that I would be snatched away by the Dayne family, could it be... '

  'No way! '

'He is a nobleman, I am just a savage, we are impossible! '

'Not necessarily... I heard that there was once a master in Starfall City who fell in love with a wild woman... '

The little girl's heart was suddenly filled with complex emotions such as joy, shyness, and worry.

Samwell hadn't realized that the few words he just casually said to coax her had caused the little girl around him to stage a wonderful love drama in her mind.

"By the way, have you Raven tribe been there?" Samwell suddenly pointed to the shore and asked.

"Huh?" Natalie was still immersed in the story she wove, and didn't react.

"Haven't you been following the footsteps of the old gods? Do you have any impression of that forest? Is there a huge weirwood tree in it? There is a human face carved on it, did you know about it?"

Natalie looked at the direction Samwell was pointing at, and shook her head hesitantly after looking at it for a while:

"I don't remember going there, and I don't know if there are weirwoods there. However, we are not the only ones who believe in the old gods in the Red Mountains."

  Samwell was a little disappointed.

"Why did you suddenly ask this question?" Natalie asked curiously.

Samwell let out a long breath, and said:

"I had a dream just now. In the dream, I seemed to be able to fly, and I just flew there, and saw a weirwood tree ."

Natalie's expression suddenly became a little strange.

  Samwell noticed this and asked:

  "What's wrong?"

"I had a similar dream when I was a child."

  "And then?"

  "And..." Natalie suddenly stopped talking.

But Samwell seemed to understand something.

He suddenly remembered that the youngest son , Bran of the Stark family in the original book had a similar dream.

In the dream he seemed to be a direwolf.

  Skinchangers!

Isn't this the ability of skinchangers to enter the body of animals with consciousness.

  Samwell suddenly realized.

Could it be that his consciousness just now possessed a bird?

But why did I suddenly have this ability?

He remembered that only the descendants of the First Men could have this ability, and it seemed that they had to be believers in the Old Gods.

Samwell suddenly thought that he had eaten a lot of ghost grass during this period, and his spiritual attribute had increased to 1.75.

Could it be because of that?

It seems that what he guessed before was correct, the attribute of spirit is related to the magical side.

Although he is not yet able to freely manipulate the consciousness-possessed animals, but as his spiritual attributes continue to grow, he should be able to become a true skinchanger.

In addition, Samwell also noticed that Natalie was hesitant to speak just now.

This made him suspect that the little girl beside him might also be a skinchanger.

Thinking of this, he turned his head and just met Natalie's eyes looking at him.

The four eyes met, and a trace of panic suddenly appeared in the little girl's purple eyes.

"I... I'm sleepy, I'm going back to sleep, good night."

Before she finished speaking, Natalie ran away.
