"One thing! One small thing was what I asked him to do and he messed up that as well?" I thought to myself while I went out looking for Asher. I had a meeting to attend, but thanks to Oliver I am here looking for Asher. How could he even lose track of him. If my dad found about me getting late to an interview just because I was finding Asher, he would definitely think I am not serious about my position in his cafe, but how do I make him understand that, business deals would come and go, but Asher is family and I wouldn't risk his life for a business deal. Being the elder son of Mr. Hart I end up having a lot of responsibilities. When I was a child, I used to think its just a café how difficult would it be handle a café, but ever since I started helping my dad in the business, I realised its not as small as I thought it was. As a child I had a lot fun, but there are some parts which I prefer not talking about.
Walking around the little town to find Asher, I reached the bank of the river. I had lost hopes of finding him and was about to leave to file a missing complaint, just when I saw a young girl, a little younger to me holding Asher walking in my direction. Without thinking twice ran towards her and stopped her. "Why are you carrying my dog? Were you planning on kidnapping my Asher?" I looked at her, almost glaring. She had almost no expression on herr face, just her eyes, looked right into mine with disbelief. "If you had actually cared so much about your Asher, you wouldn't have left him here all alone." She said with no emotions, other than pure anger. Why was she even getting angry on me for what my little brother did to my dog. Did she start thinking that Asher is her dog now?
"Excuse me miss, he is my dog and my brother accidently lost track of him, it would be really nice of you, if you stop interfering in our personal matter." I said while moving my hand forward to take him back from her embrace. "Kind sir, it might be your personal matter at home, but here it is about an innocent animal, that you couldn't take care of." She said and moved a step back holding Asher tighter as if she won't let him go. "That's very sweet of you to care about him so much, but now I would like to take him back. You can take care of other animals you can find in an animal shelter." I moved a step closer and pulled Asher out of her embrace, while glaring at her. "You are a very kind girl for taking care of my Asher, but I hope I don't have to see you again." I turned around to leave, I had a business meeting to attend, unlike her. I could hear her say "As if I want to meet your arrogant ass again" but that was least of my importance. As of now I had to go get investments for our café and recruit more workers, and that girl was nowhere in the list.
I went straight away to the café for the meeting, since it was already late and I didn't want to make the investors even more angry. There were staff in the café to look after Asher while I was busy. So this and like the best idea.
