Opportunities and Danger

Under the thick canopy of the never ending forest a youth could be seen walking carefully through the little spaces that were left by the thick under bushes. The youth was none other than Drake had been roaming the jungle aimlessly for around six days now.

During this time he came in contact with quite a number of monsters as he went deep within the heart of the forest. According to him ,a source of essence blood may be still present within the giant frame of the skeleton and he wanted to make most of it .

It seems that Drake was right. The more deep he went to towards the forest ,the more he came in contact with living beings. The appearance of the monsters were both a good and bad news for him . His safety was compromised but the surety of a treasure increased manifold too. Experiencing death once have made him pretty immune to it and the situation he was in needed him to maintain a strong heart.

Without doubting the conviction in his heart ,he started walking forward with a renewed vigour . Walking through the jungle was pretty hard for him but the desperation fueled his resolve. Suddenly he stopped, upon looking carefully he saw the fresh footprints of humans which made him smile but on the next moment his smile fell replacing it was a serious countenance. The other party too had guessed the treasure and was making a move for it. He being an unawakened made the situation fall against him. Studying the footprints carefully he saw four different types of footprints with two towards the deeper side and the rest leaning towards the light side. He was sure now of two males and two females being present. He mind thought of the group he travelled with and he started making mental preparations for a eventual confrontation.

He became more vigilant of the surroundings and started to move at a rather safe pace towards the heart of the skeleton.

Night fell and he started preparing his camp for the eventual need of rest . After eating a packet of compressed biscuit and water he heard the same Scree....ch .. sound when the van toppled inside the forest.

Drake was afraid .No he was scared shitless, with no powers to back him up he was just a sitting duck waiting to be slaughtered for a snack. The sound kept on increasing and suddenly a female scream echoed throughout the forest and then silence.

Not even the rain could be heard through out the forest but it was still raining according to the shadows outside the tent. As i was about to open the flap of the tent ,a shadow came toppling down from above with a roar and the fire vanished making me scream in fright and it all turned dark.
