Cassie stood frozen after successfully closing her door, still in disbelief over what she had just gone through.
"Am I going crazy?" she asked herself. Cassie exhaled, "It seems so."
Cassie walked slowly with a blank stare, thinking about the countless surprises the world had thrown at her that she never expected.
"Where have you been?" The voice broke Cassie's reverie. Kevin was standing in front of the bathroom, a towel draped over his shoulders, indicating he had just finished cleaning himself.
"Kevin, when did you get back?" Cassie asked, quickly putting on her usual expression.
"Just now," Kevin replied briefly. Although he had indeed just returned, it wasn't from his campus as Cassie thought but from the café where he worked.
Kevin walked toward his room, humming softly, until Cassie's voice stopped him.
"Kevin," Cassie called.
