Elimination Operation Part 4

Amid the sound of gunfire and the roars of walkers, this sudden attack caused many people to start shooting inside the mall, slowing down any escape plans the enemy might have had.

There were at least three hundred walkers per container, and although they couldn't run, these walkers were classified as intelligent, capable of climbing or performing other unforeseen movements.

Thus, most people in the mall were busy eliminating the walkers, which made it easier for Dominic's team to neutralize the few enemies who were resisting.

Within a dozen seconds after the walkers climbed to the first floor, the entire mall was filled with screams, gunshots, and walker growls, and many of those who were hiding rushed out, looking around in horror or concern.

Dogs that were pets of some of these people started barking uncontrollably, as if announcing that the walkers would eat everyone.

In a certain corridor of the mall, iron doors on both sides were raided, but a bar blocked the exit for many people.

The people inside slammed the door and shouted at the top of their lungs, hoping someone would help them open it.

Dominic and his team watched the crowd in front of them, and everyone in this place was running like frightened birds.

Without hesitation, Dominic raised his fist to signal his followers to stop, then quickly found a place to hide their long weapons and moved a bit closer to listen to what the people were saying.

Finally, after hiding his rifle, he approached the chaotic crowd alone while his team stayed under cover.

But the confusion didn't last long. Soon, two people, a man and a woman, stood up from the crowd and stopped everyone.

Seeing these two people, Dominic felt he had seen them somewhere before but couldn't remember where.

Then he saw the man greet all the men present and move further down the corridor. According to the whispers of the crowd, they were heading to get weapons in the mall's warehouse.

The woman led the other women to the grass, intending to gather people before saying anything.

Upon hearing they were going to the armory, Dominic's eyes lit up. He looked at the people around him and tried to keep his body against the wall.

Now, everyone's hearts were filled with tension and apprehension, and no one noticed the appearance of a stranger like Dominic.

When the leader brought them to the corner where the weapon's mouth was, a panicked figure rushed out.

"It's bad; the armory door is blocked by someone, and there's still the sound of fighting inside! We can't open the door at all!"

"What!"

Hearing this, the leader's face suddenly changed, and he shouted, "Then what are you waiting for? Hurry and break down the door!"

"We knocked on the door."

After the man shouted, he became even more nervous and stammered, "But... but that's an iron door; how can it be so easy to open?"

Hearing this, the faces of the people following the man also turned ugly. Without weapons, they wouldn't have any means to defend themselves, and there was no resistance against the enemy.

He looked in the direction of the iron door of the armory, and hearing the growing commotion around, the tension gradually turned into panic.

Dominic, at the end of the line, frowned when he heard the sound of fighting in the armory. He scanned the people in front of him and confirmed that none of them were armed. Tired, he drew the pistol from his waist and pulled the trigger towards the nearest man.

Bang!

The bullet went straight through the man's head, and blood mixed with a white substance flew out from the shot.

The man didn't even scream, touched his forehead in a daze, and fell helplessly to the ground.

Suddenly, upon hearing gunfire behind them, everyone in front instinctively ducked their heads.

The person closest to Dominic turned his head to look at his fallen companion and the strange man holding a pistol, his pupils contracted, leaning against the wall and screaming loudly.

"Ah!!!"

The shrill screams made everyone in the corridor tremble.

Dominic, who was the closest, was also startled by the ear-piercing scream. Hearing the man's uncontrollable scream, he felt it was more harrowing in that mouth.

"Run!!"

The death of another companion terrified everyone in the corridor, and no one knew who shouted and ran forward in a panic, holding their heads first.

The other people around also seemed to wake up from a dream and run forward, not wanting to become the ghost of the gun that had just fired.

Seeing the crowd move forward like a tide, Dominic fired a few more shots. After killing two people and deepening the fear in them, he stopped shooting.

Now that he was exposed, his group moved forward through the main entrance, and the squad with him approached.

Except for those guarding the door and patrolling, he didn't see anyone else with weapons; all were in the warehouse. Relying on those people alone wouldn't be enough to withstand his team's attack for long.

It was unlikely that those who fled in panic would escape this mall; most were just people afraid of dying.

"Ahhh!!!"

However, among the crowd, there were people who were scared and had no intentions of fighting. Naturally, there were also those who weren't afraid of death and planned to fight to the end. Dominic saw the leader from before and three other big men, each drawing iron bars or long knives, rushing towards him with a roar.

Seeing the four people approaching, Dominic looked at the gun in his hand. Only two bullets remained. He fired without hesitation, killing the two who rushed forward. Although he still had a magazine at his waist, it wasn't necessary to deal with the remaining two unarmed people, which wouldn't be well-regarded. The blood of the survivors splashed on the attackers' faces, seemingly awakening their cruelty. The leader and the other man had crimson eyes, blood having entered them, and swung the knives in their hands fiercely at Dominic.

Dominic watched the approaching sharp blade, stepped back slightly to avoid the strike, raised his foot, and kicked the leader, forcing him back a few steps.

Immediately, he lifted his right hand, grabbed the other person's wrist holding the iron bar, and pulled it strongly to his side. As the opponent lost control and stumbled forward, Dominic moved sideways and back.

Then, taking advantage of the situation, he kicked the person he had just kicked down, turned around, and raised his palms, placing the person's head in the middle of his arms and holding it tightly.

Hit in this manner, even holding a metal bar as a personal weapon, the man felt his body lose balance, and suddenly, the blow to his neck made his ears ring. His dazed eyes looked around, feeling his world upside down, while an uncontrollable amount of blood violently flowed from his nostrils.

Before he could understand what was happening, a great force pressed his knife, and within seconds, his vision went dark. He couldn't resist as his eyes rolled back, and then he fainted.

"Go to hell!"

The leader got nervous when his companion fell to the ground and realized the gap between the two sides. But the man in front had a gun; no matter how fast he ran, he couldn't outpace a bullet with a knife in his hand.

Even knowing there was no chance of winning, he had no way out at this moment, so he raised the long knife in his hand and roared, attacking his enemy.

Dominic glanced at him lightly and skillfully dodged the blow again. His right palm suddenly opened, pushing towards the opponent's neck and striking his throat hard.

"Argh!"

Feeling his throat hit like this, the man clutched his neck, his face reddened as if he couldn't breathe, and moaned. He fell weakly to the ground, his face gradually turning a deep purple as time passed, seeming about to die from suffocation.

Ignoring the men being subdued by his team, Dominic looked at the several men who had fallen around him, walked past the leader, and signaled his people to prepare and see what was happening in the armory.

Running quickly to the interior of the corner corridor, he could clearly hear the sound of fighting from the iron door at the end.

"It's safe; you can open the door!"

Dominic didn't hesitate anymore, opened his mouth, and shouted, telling the people inside that everything outside was under control.

Just after his words, an angry shout came from inside, and the iron door responded by opening. Then, a blood-covered figure emerged from the armory.
