FROM THE FORBIDDEN TREE

"Asher, no." She said weakly. She sounded needy and pathetic according to her but that would have to for the moment. "I can hear the need in your voice, you little liar." He whispered as he came even closer so that his breath was tickling her neck while he spoke in her ear. She herself could feel the need as it made a bead or two of sweat to form on her brow. She was excited about it much more than she could ever tell anyone. She however knew better than to do it on the day her sister was meant to get engaged. "At least not today." She whispered back with her eyes shut trying to calm her racing heart down enough to reason with him. "So you saying if it wasn't today and we were in the same position you wouldn't hesitate?" He asked so close to her ear that she shivered in delight and a small giggle left her mouth at the same time as it was her tickle spot making him chuckle at the feeling.

ROBINA

It was perfect bliss. Her relationship with Asher was one to die for and she couldn't trade it for anything or anyone. She kept telling her sister of all the amazing escapades they had had and even described in depth her feelings for the man of her dreams. She wanted perfection and she had gotten it. Robina was certain she wanted to spend eternity surrounded by the warm ambiance that Asher had provided her. His presence was the best company she could ever ask for. She was so happy with him, the money notwithstanding. Not that he was poor, if anything he was one of the young and rich in their country with his chain of restaurants being the leading choice of fine dining with most people. He was not nearly half as rich as her family was and most people thought that their relationship had been of a pure business nature to benefit him but it wasn't. Robina knew better. She knew she was in love with the young man and wanted to spend the better part of her life with him. Robina kept anticipating a proposal from him and she had even confided in her sister about it. Decota didn't seem as excited or sure about the proposal like she was.

It didn't matter though as her sister wasn't always anxious and excited to hear any details of their relationship except the bit about the exciting sex they always had, not that Robina minded sharing about how mind blowing he was in bed. In fact she was open to talk about those details but only with her sister. Even with the five year age gap between them she could say they were pretty close, Asher had brought them close and she didn't see anything wrong with that. Instead she was happy to have had her sister back. They had fallen apart years back for a reason that Robina could not fathom. When she had introduced Asher to Decota it was like whatever ice that had stood guard of Decota's affection towards her just melted away and that night Decota had wanted to know just about everything to do with Asher. She remembered her willingness and excitement to share just about anything with her sister to maintain their talking standards together. Even though she was never very enthusiastic as time went by, Robina had continued to share in hopes that if she did her sister wouldn't wall her out again like she had done before.

Robina was therefore surprised when her sister had asked her a question about her and not her boyfriend. It surprised her because they had never had a talk about her or her personality and interests. It had always been about Asher and sometimes Uriah never her or Decota. She was therefore shocked when she received a call while at work from her sister asking her what song she thought was the most magical and wouldn't hesitate to play it in her own special events. She was honestly suspicious about the question bearing in mind her sister was an events coordinator. After a short explanation as to how one of her clients didn't know what song she wanted as an entrance rhythm for her wedding, she racked her brain to find the perfectly suitable answer. She had juggled a lot of options in her head before she remembered her sister had asked her own preference not what the bride would have preferred. That was enough motivation to help her come up with a decision. She had however gotten stuck with two songs in her head and she couldn't choose which one was which so she told her both of them adding that she could choose either as they were both good.

"Could you give me at least five so she can have a bigger range to work with?" her sister had requested.

Robina had requested to send her a text message so she could outline the songs properly and her sister had complied.

'Cant help falling in love- Elvis Presley

My heart will go on- Celine Dion

From this moment- Shania Twain

Perfect- Ed Sheeran

Endless love- Lionel Richie & Shania Twain'

She had texted with excitement only for her heart to drop at the realization that that someone was getting married whereas she wasn't. She was already feeling ready and ripe for marriage yet Asher had not given her any indication that he was as ready as she was. All she got were steamy evenings and sweet dates, not to mention the expensive gifts. Somehow after texting her sister the list of songs her mind started believing what her sister had told her. Maybe Asher had been with her for the business prospect of it and the fact that they were both adventurous making their relationship one to dream of. Either way she had wanted to have a lifetime with him but she could now see clearly that he wasn't reading from the same book with her, or maybe he was but just a few chapters behind her. Or could be he just didn't want to take things so fast. They had only known each other for a couple of months and that felt enough for her but maybe it wasn't enough for him. Maybe he wanted at least an year or two before he conclusively decide she was the woman for him. At that comforting though she smiled to herself and proceeded on with her work for the day. She needed to slow her mind down before she got herself into trouble for wrong thoughts.

Robina ended up going dress shopping with Decota that afternoon, Decota's treat, claiming that they hadn't spent quality time together. That was the second weird thing that Decota had done with her in the span of hours. Somehow it felt as though her sister was hiding something but she did not have the heart to question it lest their newly formed bond snapped even before it matured. She went along with the tiring process of Decota finding the perfect dress for her before they settled for a royal blue halter neck pencil dress that prided itself with a slit from mid thigh till bottom. Robina had wanted to dress herself up but her sister had other plans. She picked out silver heels to go with it and even had her get a simple silver ring as well as purse. It was not as if she needed the ring or anything but if Decota saw it fit for her to have the ring then she would definitely have it without any second thoughts. Decota had paid for all the things they had gotten and carried the bags to her Porsche cayenne. Robina was surprised when Decota dropped her home and told her to save all the things she had bought her for a special occasion they would be attending together the following Saturday.

Robina got to unpacking her stuff and putting it away making sure to put it away just as her sister had suggested. That would be the first time her sister had invited her to an event that she had planned and it was quite surprising as was everything that had happened that day. She took the dress out of the bag and carefully placed in a hanger before walking into her closet and placing it on the row where she had packed away her dresses in a color coordinated manner. She then picked out the box and opened it to reveal the silvery shiny heels. She couldn't get enough of those fantastic shoes. At the mere thought that they belonged to her she smiled widely smooching them. She didn't have to mind that people would think she was out of her mind. After all she was all alone in her house so no one would see her do that. She placed them carefully next to her other silver heels and did the same with the small purse as well. She loved having her things organized in a color coordinated way so she wouldn't waste her time trying to pick out where her things were. She was a profession organizer and interior decorator for many celebrities all around the world.

As she stood at the door of her closet she couldn't help but admire her good work. her eyes drifted through the colors as they softly morphed from bright and vibrant to cool dark tones. If there was anything Robina was proud of was her closet and how organized it was. She had organized various closets but hers was the ultimatum of all of them. She smiled lovingly at the object of her affection before she realized something. She ran back to the bags on the floor of her bedroom turning each of them ensuring to check carefully if anything was falling out of any of them but nothing did. She felt a wave of disappointment crashed against her as she couldn't believe what had just happened. She quickly grabbed her phone and dialed her sisters number in panic.

"Yeah?"

"Decota. The ring."

"What?"

"The ring that you just bought me, it is missing."
