FROM THE FORBIDDEN TREE

"Asher, no." She said weakly. She sounded needy and pathetic according to her but that would have to for the moment. "I can hear the need in your voice, you little liar." He whispered as he came even closer so that his breath was tickling her neck while he spoke in her ear. She herself could feel the need as it made a bead or two of sweat to form on her brow. She was excited about it much more than she could ever tell anyone. She however knew better than to do it on the day her sister was meant to get engaged. "At least not today." She whispered back with her eyes shut trying to calm her racing heart down enough to reason with him. "So you saying if it wasn't today and we were in the same position you wouldn't hesitate?" He asked so close to her ear that she shivered in delight and a small giggle left her mouth at the same time as it was her tickle spot making him chuckle at the feeling.

DECOTA

Decota had always liked her sister's taste of men and it wasn't any different with the man she intended to marry. Asher was a one of a kind catch and she was jealous that her sister and gunned down such a stud. Even though she had a man of her own she was still envious of how her sister had just been able to always get the perfect gentlemen. He had not proposed to Robina yet but Decota knew it was soon bound to happen. There was no way the man who was so in love with her four foot eleven sister wouldn't go out of his way to propose to her and she anticipated it each day.

She had watched them go from enemies to frenemies to friends and now a couple but she didn't feel like she was ready to watch them fall more in love and settle down together. It felt like a violation to her right to love as she was certain she liked her sister's boyfriend even though he had never shown the least bit of interest in her. To him she had always been the little sister that he had to look after and chase away all the men that even dared to look at her but to her he was the epitome of a perfect man.

That was why she was never able to say no to him when he had requested her to help him plan a nice surprise proposal for her sister. She had wanted to spoil the surprise and tell her so that she would loose interest in it and they may stay untangled for a while as she decided whether to shoot her shot and see if she stood a chance with the cutie. Bearing in mind how alive she felt when he was around, that thought was very tempting. Yet she banished it to the deepest end of the trash sea she had in her head. Instead she had braved a smile and gone ahead to make it perfect by making all the necessary arrangements. Being an events planner had proved to be helpful at that point as she had managed to keep it almost as professional as she would with any of her clients only that this wasn't a paid event. As a matter of fact it was one to break her heart on the way. She thought to herself.

There was nothing as tempting as wanting to break apart a relationship she had wanted to be part of. Her thoughts had been so crowded by Asher and Robina that she sometimes forgot she had a man of her own who expect her to take care of him and all his needs but lucky her, he was the most understanding human in the whole wide world. It wasn't as though he knew she was into the man who planned on marrying her sister, but she was a busy woman according to him, with all the events people entrusted into her hands. It wasn't a lie though, because she was running a very successful event's planning company and she could proudly say she knew how to do her work thanks to the support of her amazing crew. Planning had always been a passion of her's and she did her work just perfectly but this time around was proving to be a challenge for her.

The man she had always dreamt of every night since she got to know him was getting married and to make it even juicier to her sister. She had chewed on that information severally trying to digest it but it had a bad taste in her mouth. Asher wanted to spend the rest of his life with Robina, something she never saw coming. She always thought that Asher was with Robina for the family money and the good time she obviously showed him but was she mistaken. Somehow Asher had fallen for the four, eleven curvy woman and now it wasn't about the money or good sex. He wanted to wake to her face every morning for the rest of his life and he hadn't been ashamed to admit it to her when he had requested her service. What made it even more hard was how his eyes lit up as he spoke animatedly about how madly in love he was with her.

Decota was so touched by their affection that she decided to plan the whole thing and even offered to plan her wedding if she did say yes, which she was hoping wouldn't happen but who was she kidding, the girl would obviously say yes and Decota was so sure that her sister would say yes since she always expressed her wishes to get married to the man who she described as a beast in bed. Decota had always sat through the torturous process of hearing how wonderful he was just to live her fantasies through Robina and she was content with it at least up until the day that Asher would notice her. As she continued organizing things with her crew she realized that her fantasy would remain just that. Even though it was disappointing she decided to just let herself live the fantasy through Robina and her funny dreams and substitute it with the good time she was having with her boyfriend.

She made an effort to ensure that everything was perfect from the flowers to scented candles and the beautiful red ruby ring that he had requested. She wanted it to be as perfect as it would have been if it had been her own day that she was celebrating because low key she wanted it to be. That was why she ordered exotic flowers from all around the world to be shipped in and paid to have half of a hotel for herself that day. She didn't mind the money it could cost her. All she wanted was a smile on Asher's face that would keep her going for months on end without having to see him as he would be celebrating his sweet union to Robina.

"The roses have to be red and white alternating with the same width." She kept instructing the group.

She wanted everything perfect for them and it was bringing out the paranoid side of her. She had been constantly made sure that they repeated her instructions over and over again just to make sure that they understood exactly what she wanted done. She was determined to live that moment that is until one of her key members in the team told her that she was overdoing and at that moment she needed a distraction from all that. she had not realized how invested she had been in the whole thing. She decided to give her boyfriend a call. Maybe he would offer her some kind of safe haven from all the work she was meant to have complete and done in just less than a month.

"Uriah, baby, I miss you." She said as soon as he picked up.

"Finally, you remembered me. I called and your secretary said you were busy and in a meeting." He lamented playfully.

She knew he understood she was busy even though it was just being occupied with thoughts of Asher, not that he needed to know that. Bottom-line was that he was the best man she could ever have. She could hear a beautiful voice singing Whitney Houston's I have nothing in the background. The voice was the most glorious she had ever heard in her whole life. At that moment she was certain of one thing. Had it been her, she would have wanted such a talent on the background while waiting for the magical question. She was automatically thankful for having Uriah for a boyfriend.

"Who is the lady that is singing?" She asked even without answering his claims on being forgotten.

"That's my newest addition, Wea Love. She is a sensation, isn't she?" He answered her, his voice radiating with pride.

"Yes she is. I'd like to offer her her first gig for a special event." Decota knew to express her interest immediately.

She knew Uriah well enough to know he'd jump into any opportunity to give his crew exposure even if it wasn't the biggest of crowds. When she placed that thought on the table she hadn't expected him to question her about it and so it came as a shock when he did. He had wanted to know the nature of event and how many guests would be invited. From the sound of it it seemed like Wea was a very important person in the industry and since Decota didn't know her she assumed that Wea was yet to get famous. She had ended up bribing her way into having Wea perform. She ended up owing Uriah a weeks worth of sleepovers and three phone calls a day, morning, noon and evening as if it were a prescription. Once she had hung up, however, was when she realized, with a small smile on her face, that she had been blackmailed.
