Dear Diary,

March, 16th, 2023

I think Estral sent me another sign that he was watching me.

I woke up today, London was already downstairs making breakfast, when I saw a small, white dove on my window sill. I thought to myself, 'The birds shouldn't be coming back yet...Weird.' but I shrugged it off.

The dove hopped into my room, but didn't fly away. It took me until now to notice a small, light purple perennial in it's beak.

My door creaked open as Mikayla walked in. "Dada, Matthew and I saw Estral!" I looked at her, then back at the dove, which wasn't there anymore. The flower stood in it's place.

I stared at the flower before turning back to Mikayla. Her two front teeth were missing, but her smile melted my heart. I sighed and picked up the flower.

I handed the perennial to Mikayla and smiled. "How did you see Estral?" I asked her.

She has heard stories about Estral not from just me, but from London as well. Mikayla and Matthew loved hearing stories about us when we were younger.

She sat on the foot of my bed, patting the spot beside her. I chuckled silently and sat beside her. She leaned her tiny head on my large arm. "I was playing outside with Matthew when I saw something staring at me. When I looked at it, it smiled at me and whispered something about you."

I raised an eyebrow. "What did it say?"

She sighed dramatically. "He said something like, 'Keep and eye on your parents, please? They're my best friends.' And I promised that I would. Matthew freaked out and left, though."

I looked at her and whispered, "What did it look like?"

"Well, he had light eyes and hair and he wore a white T-shirt."

Now, I always knew that kids had great imagination, but this was insane. I looked at her and let out a sigh. "How about you go ask Baba, and I'll be down in a sec."

She smiled brightly and rushed downstairs.

A few minutes later, London opened the door. They said that they saw Estral.

I guess that I couldn't hold it together anymore. I broke down crying in front of London. It wasn't the first time, but it was one of the only times that I cried in front of them about Estral. They wrapped their arms around me as I continued to cry.

And for the first time in a few months, I called Hailey and Jacob.
