A woman entered of the celestial emblem holder's bed room. The girl sighed as she watched the view through the huge window with both of her hands at her back. The room was dark, the only light that was available is from the window.
The ceiling was very dusty, the furnitures were covered with fabric except for the bed. The wallpapers on the walls were starting to fall out, revealing the bricks that was used to be behind it.
"The servants should place you into a more luxurious room. This room is filthy. Why did they chose this for her?" The woman thought.
She wore a red gown with golden flower embroideries around the bottom of the skirt and a tattoo on the back of her neck or the symbol. She had fair skin and almond shaped emerald eyes, she had dark brown hair, chignon and mahogany colored lips. For a forty year old, she looked like she was about her 20's.
"I see you're awake." The woman stretched out a smile. "Let me introduce myself, I'm Lunaris Whittaker, one of the emblem holders like you. I brought you into my castle to save you. You would die alone there in the forest if it wasn't for my child. You'll meet him later."
The girl turned at her with no expressions on her face. She had long, white hair with pinkish hue, ivory skin and sunset pink deep set eyes. She's wearing a white puff sleeve chemise and a dirty, blue ribbon wrapped around her wrist. She had the symbol of the celestial emblem which was located at the back of her right palm.
"My servants asked me why did I let a demon inside my castle? Although why do I see a normal girl infront of me? Hmmm, she was cleaned by them however and that's good news. I'll transfer her to another room later." She thought again.
The woman continued. "Anyway, do you remember your past?"
"The girl replied without hesitation "I-I forgotten some."She was confused and didn't have a choice either way. "I don't remember what happened yesterday or beyond that and why I got here."
"Huh." Lunaris crossed her arms and smirked. "I thought you're the type that doesn't speak to anyone. Don't worry, you can trust us, were allies, I don't mean any harm."
"I-I don't remember my name but I d-d-do remember the names of my sisters and Aunt." She fell onto her knees and shedded into tears. The woman was surprised, she thought at first the girl was emotionless. "I also saw my sister's memories, my father, my father." She covered her eyes with both of her palms.
"Your father?" Lunaris stepped closer to her and touched her head. The girl felt the warm and comfort from the woman's hand.
Her eyes blazed, her dark hair flew into the air and the symbol on her hand glowed yellow.
The girl was frightened seeing the woman like that. She wanted to panic however she couldn't move.
She was really confused.
The woman came back to herself from the state and spoke. "Your father was a very horrible man."
The girl lowered her head.
"You were also confused about what's going on with your sister's memories, huh? A pinch of your memories and another pinch of your sister's memories fused together. There are parts that you clearly could not understand."
The girl nodded.
She took her hand from the girl's head and stood straight in front of her. She rose her both hands and made models of the emblem's symbols using her illusions. The models floated at the air, in order. The two main emblems, the dark and the light. The leader, the time. The center, the celestial. Next were the major and the minor of the four season and the last we're the assist emblems.
The girl gasped as she stood seeing how magnificent the illusions were.
"These are the symbols of the emblem holders. Each emblem holders can only pass down their emblems on those who have their bloodlines and if the bloodline ends, so as the power. The emblems were also connected to each other and that's why I can able to see some of the memories of the other emblem holders when I touch their head however, however I define it strange. Why am I not able to take a glimpse of your memories? Do you know why?"
The girl shrugged.
"I see."The woman cleared her throat and continued. "However I could only see your sister's memories, well some and whenever she calls out your name, it was blank. I couldn't hear it. I deeply apologize, I couldn't find your name." The girl just nodded her head while she wiped her tears off.
"Your sister was your mother."
The girl's eyes widened.
"I know it's confusing for you. Your mother was the last ruler of the fallen Celestice." Lunaris made models of the girl's mother's thoughts using her illusion emblem again. "It was the mistake of both of your parents, but mostly your father. Your father trapped your mother inside a box which someone miraculously freed you two after. While she was inside of the box, you were still inside your mother's womb, your mother placed hatred so much to your father that little did she know it affected you and that was the beginning of your curse. The time arrived when someone opened the box which was two hundred and fifty years later, you were born and your mother re birthed causing the one who opened the box mistook you two as identical twins since you two looked alike.Your mother, even if she was re birthed, she still remembered what happened back then and the time she was an infant again, she could see, hear, understand and remember. She didn't had any childhood amnesia in her second life. After when she was chased by an unknown, everything went blank."
Tears fell down through the girl's cheek. She wiped it out again.
The woman sighed and molded the models. "You had a curse and you are not a monster, but because of your curse, everyone thinks you are. Everyone sees you as one. Your mother only knew that when you were eight years old. Like I said, your curse was a reflection of your mother's hatred onto your father, she realized it her self too. To those people who sees you in their visions with close minds, you looked like a demon for them and for those who observes and looks at you deep down can only see your true self. I saw your true self because probably like I said emblems and the holders of it were connected to each other. How lucky the one who opened your way to freedom looked deep down—." The woman coughed and fell down onto the floor, her illusions disappeared into thin air.
"Ma'am?" The girl ran to her, helping her to stand.
"I'm fine, I can manage myself kid, I've been using too much of my illusions since yesterday. Anyway, that's all I saw in your mother's memories." The girl took her hands off of her and Lunaris stood on her own. "The both of us seemed to have the same enemy. You're father. She said as she wiped the dust off of her gown. "What a coincidence."
"W-what do you mean ma'am?"
"Let's avenge your sister or your mother for everything she had been through. Your father's very powerful. I saw in your mother's vision that he's still alive, I bet he's even immortal. We're facing something huge. If he's really immortal then we'll just have to find a way to stop him. I'll train you to control and use your emblems, so as combat skills. The emblem has its own limits, if you use it too much, it can corrupt you so combat training is necessary. What do you say child? Are you up for it?" Lunaris lent her hand infront of her.
"I-I don't want sister's death to be in vain. I can't just let father get away with his crimes!"The girl clenched her fists as she yelled in frustration. "So ma'am please teach me, I will do my best." Lunaris was impressed as she saw a huge amount of determination right through her eyes.
The girl shook Lunaris's hand.
"From now on, your name is Harper." Lunaris stretched out a smile.
"If he's really immortal, how do I plan this? I won't let him take away what I have ever again."
.....
Time passed by.
Three years came.
The sky was still dim and the time was in the middle of daybreak.
Some neutrals panicked around the kingdom of Aenmi-the smallest kingdom amongst all kingdoms. Aenmi was known as the kingdom of blades where the kingdom made and sell the finest and the best weapons in the whole world.
The kingdom stood at the middle of the wall,
the wall that protected the kingdom and was made about hundreds of years ago.
A numerous of nocturnal beasts came towards the kingdom, running through the fields outside the wall, aiming for the neutrals in it.The archers prepared on top of the wall as they aimed their arrows at them.
"Fire!" The commander yelled as he raised his sword.
The arrows flew across the air and shot some of the hideous creatures. Rain of arrows showered onto the fields, black colored blood splattered all over the ground.
"There's a lot of them, tch." The commander wiped his sweat. "Soldiers, keep your guard up. True, they are lower levels but there's a chance that they can succeed on climbing this wall or swallow someone if they wanted to."
A girl appeared on top, wearing a serious face.
"Move aside!" She yelled as she gripped the handle of her bowgun tightly.
"Ms. Elara!" The soldiers were surprised.
She had curly, short chestnut hair, slender body shape and dark round eyes. She was known because of her beauty and her doll like image.
She wore a onyx colored black dress with plum colored ribbon wrapped around her waist and tied at the back, white lace trims attached on top of the sweet heart bodice and so as the bottom of her flounce. Her petticoat's hidden under her skirt, making the dress looked puffy.
She wore a pair of long gray, see through stockings, a pair of jet black colored heels and a pair of crow colored gloves at both of her hands.
"Archers beware because if you hit one of my comrades down there, you'll have to face me, got it?! And soldiers, back up my comrades down there!" She moved closer near the edge and kneeled her right foot, aiming her arrow and fired, struck down one, another and another. The other soldiers were impressed seeing how she didn't missed her target despite the fact that it's still a bit dark and other young novice soldiers couldn't help but to fall inlove with her.
The other soldiers climbed down the wall using a rope and sliced the beasts in halves using their weapons.
"ONWARD!" They yelled.
Meanwhile, at the center of the fields,
A young man killed a lot of beasts in minutes with a help of a girl, a hybrid with wolf ears who's defending him with her shield.
"You're doing great. Jaydn, that's my girl." The boy smiled as both of his swords kept attacking the beasts. His natural colored face received scratches from the beast's claws. He wore a mahogany colored unbuttoned long coat with white lace trim at the end of his long sleeves,a black loose turtleneck shirt behind his coat with white cravat, black colored pants made with silk and a pair of black leather boots.
His butter toast hair flew as he ran towards a beast and sliced its head.
"Who said that I'm your girl, you idiot!" The girl yelled as she rolled her eyes under her plum colored homburg hat. She wore a white puff short sleeve shirt with a flounced bodice behind a plum colored corset belt and violet colored fabric made vest. White lace trims attached at the end of the sleeves, and under the shirt. She wore violet colored shorts and black raisin colored high knee lace up boots.
She had round shape face, middle length blond hair and crimson colored upturned eyes. She blocked the beast using her shield that was heading towards the lad and pushed it away, the lad stabbed another beast's chest and struck the other one, upcoming.
"I know you like me." He yelled.
"I don't, just focus on the battle, Kade, you can't confirm anything."
"You guys are so annoying."An elf girl using a lance landed behind Jaydn and sliced the beast's throat. She wore a wine colored unbuttoned long coat with lace trims at the end of the sleeves and a black colored silk-made shirt behind a black colored over bust corset underneath her coat. A gray colored flower embroidery at the back of the coat and gray floral patterns on the tailored collar. Black silk-made trousers, a pair of glasses on her face and a pair of black colored country boots.
She had ivory skin, chocolate copper pixie cut hair and stable colored eyes behind her glasses. She pierced the stomachs of three beast in a row and took her lance out of them and struck another group.
"Let me join you guys too, yo!" An elf boy with dark auburn faux hawk with shorter sides hair, beige skin and with frisco colored eyes leaped into the beast stampede and smashed its head, so as the other one and another using his iron knuckles. He wore a black polo long sleeves shirt with a bow tie behind a silky plum colored vest with black colored floral patterns. He wore a pair of leather boots and black colored trousers at the bottom.
Suddenly,
some of the beast's body been shot by light made daggers each and a huge, steam powered and metal made walking machine appeared on the battlefield tossing the beasts up high with its claws. It's taller than any neutrals and wider too.
"Suki! Yey." The elf girl jumped and pierced the beasts up high. Suki blowed it's whistle with delight.
"They maybe lower level beasts but they sure are a lot."Kade thought. "It's still dark."
Suki released it's guns and fired the bullets at the upcoming beasts.
"Prim, over here." Jaydn called out and the elf girl ran towards her and leaped high and fast stabbed the beasts with her lance that Jaydn was trying to block.
On top of one of the wall's tower, stood the one who was responsible of producing light daggers. She wore a flounced bodice dress with lace up black leather-made overbust corset vest. Lace trims attached onto the end of the long sleeves and at the bottom of the skirt. gray Jabot behind a gem brooch. The skirt of the dress was above knee with a petticoat behind it, the flounce of the dress was ruffled and the sleeves were see through fabric made. The whole dress was plum colored except for the corset. She wore a pair of black lace up leather knee boots, white gloves on both of her hands and her hair was braided tied with a blue ribbon.
She rose her hands and summoned the daggers again as her eyes blazed white. Though her daggers can pierce through depends on what type of beasts she's targeting at.
"Harper will be very exhausted after this." Prim thought as she glanced at the tower. From afar, it's like it's turning into a light house. Prim continued to kill. "Even if they are lower levels, they still have a capacity to eat any neutrals who are defenseless. The sun's not yet to arrive." She thought again.
Kade struck another one to another, his outfit's mostly covered with black blood and his body's like taking a shower in sweat.
The elf boy ran towards him and punched the beast that almost ate kade's head while leaping from behind "Hah! The levels were lower but you looked like you were fighting higher level beasts." He laughed.
"Shut up monkey man." Kade rolled his eyes as he attacked another and another. "Don't blame me while looking like this. Can't you see they were tons of them?"
"Nope, didn't noticed. It's still a bit dark."
"Should have worn an armor and I was really confident. And I did not give my best yet." Kade sighed as he thougt. "Let's see who killed the most today, Cassian."
"Ha! Bring it!" He grinned as he smacked the beast's face and punched it on the stomach.
The light daggers stopped and vanished.
Harper fell down onto the floor and slept. Her power had reached it's limit and it caused her to fall asleep. She also lost a lot of her mana powers from practicing earlier. The color of her symbol fade and it'll be back when she gain conscious again.
"Okay, Harper is out!" Jaydn said as she noticed that the light from the tower vanished while defending Prim behind her back.
"We are not yet ready, Harper maybe strong against any monsters with her magic but her combat skills." Lunaris took a sigh as she looked from afar standing on the balcony of the castle.
"Well, I couldn't agree more." The leader of the team replied as he stood near the door behind the woman. "Her rogue skills until now, well, kind of, you know...off I guess. She's very remarkable with her magic skills on the contrary."
His crushed garnet colored hair's underneath his ebony black top hat. He wore a white shirt under his long pitch black unbutton coat with patterns that were not visible from afar. Long coal colored silk made trousers with obsidian leather fabric made belt wrapped around his waist and a pair of white brogue shoes. He had ivory skin and hazel colored wide set eyes.
His eyes only widen when he gets serious but whenever he's not, it seemed like its shut but on the contrary he could still see.
"She forgotten some of her memories and she probably lacked education either. I should send her to the academy, huh? I could not teach her everyday since I'm busy managing this kingdom, you can't either because I have a new important mission for you that takes years to finish and if only mr. Gaius didn't retired." She crossed her arms. "I could not ask the others to teach her either since they don't have any idea about this class."
"I will agree with the idea of sending her to Eleriya, however, what about her curse?"
"Her father never made any move for years now anyway but we don't know when he'll strike again. And for her curse, there's an idea that I want to testify."
