Chapter 6: A Blind Date Surprise (Ethan's Perspective)

Ethan Sterling sat in his spacious office, a rare moment of respite from his hectic schedule. His mind was consumed with the weight of his responsibilities, both in business and in his role as a father to Mia, his young daughter.

"Dad, you pinky promised me you will get me a mom very soon," Mia's innocent voice echoed in his thoughts. He rubbed his temple, feeling the telltale signs of a headache coming on. "Mia," he began, trying to explain, "it's not easy to get you a mom."

Mia's wide eyes fixed on him, her determination shining through. "It's very easy, Daddy. The other time I heard Uncle James talk about a dating site where you can find a wife."

A pang of irritation coursed through Ethan at the mention of James, He clenched his jaw, silently cursing his brother for meddling in his life. "James, don't let me catch you," he thought, "or I'm going to spin your jaw."

Mia, oblivious to her father's inner turmoil, continued to chatter away. Her tiny fingers danced over the keyboard of her tablet, her actions deliberate and precise. "Daddy, I just have to register you, click, pat pat, and done!"

Ethan watched in astonishment as his daughter navigated the digital world with ease, her innocence contrasting with her technological savvy. He sighed, realizing that he had underestimated just how resourceful Mia could be.

Then, with a mischievous smile that mirrored James's antics, Mia turned her attention back to her father. "You have a date tonight, Dad," she declared, her tone leaving no room for negotiation, "and make sure you bring me a mommy, or I will not talk to you forever! Hmph!"

Ethan couldn't help but chuckle at his daughter's determination, even as he grappled with the unexpected situation she had thrust upon him. The idea of finding love through a dating site was foreign to him, and he had never considered it a viable option.
