Chapter 30: A shameless boss
Ethan sat in his study room, discussing the dilemma of Emily's need for purpose with his most trusted bodyguard, Mike. The clash of interests in their unconventional marriage had become a pressing issue, especially since Mia had grown closer to Emily in just a short time.
"I didn't think this far about what she would be doing, and it's becoming a clash of interests," Ethan admitted, his frustration evident. "But one thing is sure, she can't remain idle, or I won't have peace in my own house." with mia being closer to her than to me in just two days of knowing Emily it's obvious that it won't take time for them to band up against me
Mike listened attentively, nodding as he considered the situation. He then ventured a suggestion, "Boss, you know she likes children. Why not open an orphanage for her to manage? And since her birthday is in one week, you can use it as a gift."
Ethan's eyes lit up with approval, and he responded, "Mike, you know that I, your boss, am a genius for thinking of this."
Mike muttered to himself, "But boss, it was my idea."
Ethan cut him off with a stern glare and asserted, "I am your boss, and since I employ you, your ideas are my own."
As their playful banter continued, the tranquility of the Sterling mansion was disrupted by the sound of someone barging in, shouting for attention. Both Ethan and Mike exchanged puzzled glances before heading out to see what had caused the commotion.
