Chapter 26: Unconventional Beginnings
Ethan, still holding Emily in his arms as if they were characters from a romantic movie, couldn't help but relish the playful banter between them. Emily's protests were met with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Come on, Emily," Ethan teased, ignoring her protests, "a wedding wouldn't be complete without a picture of the groom carrying his bride."
The camera flashes continued as Lily captured this unscripted moment, adding to the collection of memorable snapshots. Mia, thrilled by the unfolding spectacle, clapped her hands and giggled.
Ethan finally relented and gently lowered Emily back to her feet. She straightened her dress, still blushing from the unexpected display of affection. As they stood side by side, Emily feeling embarrassed took law into her hands and pinched Ethan as hard as she could as if dishing out punishment to him for carrying her

The priest concluded the ceremony with a warm smile, pronouncing, "Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you Mr. and Mrs. Ethan Sterling."
The small congregation erupted into applause and cheers, celebrating the union of two individuals who had embarked on this uncharted journey together.
With the formalities complete, the group moved to a nearby garden for a simple and intimate reception. Tables were adorned with elegant decorations, and a few close friends and family members began to congratulate the newlyweds.
Ethan leaned in closer to Emily and whispered, "You did great back there, Mrs. Sterling."
Emily couldn't help but chuckle at the use of her new title. "Well, Mr. Sterling, you certainly know how to make things interesting."
