"If you're really him, then what about the first time you called me? How were you with my daughter, and how were you able to give me the box as soon as you ended the call?" Gerard inquired, his voice laced with urgency and concern.
"Oh, that? Your daughter was with my brother at that time," Jace answered nonchalantly.
Gerard's jaw clenched in frustration. "You didn't do anything to my daughter, right? Tell me!"
"Didn't I tell you to stop yelling?" Jace retorted coldly. "Well, you will find out the answer to that question once you retrieve your daughter from me."
Anger boiled within Gerard, fueled by the helplessness of the situation. "You coward! If you have an issue with me, deal with me directly. Don't involve innocent people, especially not my daughter!"
