Brook took the guitar, and his hand started to shake, "Is this for me, a personally crafted guitar for me from Soren-San?" The skeleton then picked each string individually, each time sounding out a clean not that tugged on my heartstrings.
"Careful, there. We don't want any incidents to happen before the battle." Brook nodded, "When is the battle Soren-San, and who are we up against?" I sighed, "From what Rayleigh told me, we have about a week before we reach Laugh Tale. As to who we're facing, the most powerful people the World Government has at their disposal."
Brook's entire body shivered, "Do you think we'll be ready by the time we get there?" I looked at the skeleton right where his eyes would be, "No, you won't, but I have a plan. There's no need for you to worry about it."
There was a tense moment before Brook started to play a tune on his guitar, "Well until then, how about we enjoy these few days we have left." I smirked and played back his music on my violin, "I wouldn't spend it any other way."
Returning to my main body, I braced myself as Luffy used his new attack on me. While the initial strike didn't contain much power a split second after the physical attack landed, there was a rebound effect.
The shockwave created by his haki condensing then suddenly releasing sent vibrations through the body, dealing heavy internal damage. It was an advanced application of haki that few could achieve.
The fact that it took Luffy so long to learn in the Wano Arc was a mystery to me, but I noted that having Luffy imagine his haki as a spring was a great teaching moment on my part.
After his latest strike, I didn't heal the damage and looked at my body. A few of my blood vessels had ruptured, but it was nothing major. "Wait a minute, Luffy. I want to try something."
He stopped, and I quickly walked over and grabbed a strand of his hair, plucking it out quickly, "Ouch! what did you do that for?" I smiled before using my powers to create a clone of Luffy, who stood in front of the original with a blank look on his face.
"Luffy, this is your clone. While I know this may be hard, I want you to..." Before I could finish my sentence, Luffy sent a fist flying at his clone, striking it in the chest. Since it was mindless, the clone did nothing to defend itself, and it was sent flying, almost falling over the rail of the ship.
Luffy frowned, almost pouting, "That can't be a clone of me. He didn't stretch at all." I sighed and controlled the clone to come back to its original position, "As I was saying, I want you to strike your clone using as little force as possible. I only want you to deal damage using the shock wave from your haki."
Winding up his arm Luffy nodded, "Alright." I watched as Luffy threw his arm, stretching it out to poke his clone in the chest. The clone's expression didn't change as its chest caved before bouncing back to its original shape.
"What happened? I put everything I had into it!" I grinned only in a way a teacher could while lecturing their students, "Your body is naturally resistant to all forms of blunt damage. Making you your own worst enemy. Suppose you can send this clone flying from haki alone. You can defeat almost any opponent."
Luffy grinned excitedly, "Doesn't that mean I could defeat you as well?" I used a portal to flick Luffy on the forehead infusing my haki into the finger, "Don't get cocky. I'm not like any opponent you've faced before."
As Luffy moved back to practice against his new target, I shifted between clones again. This time appearing in my workshop with Franky. A wave of heat washed over me as the giant furnace superheated the entire room.
Franky lifted up a pair of goggles, "Hey Soren, what was that formula for carbon steel? One part coal two parts iron." I cupped my hands to compete with the roar of the fire and screamed back, "Yes though most of the ingots I have in here have been refined. But if you need something more flexible, just tell me!"
Franky gave me a thumbs up before going back to working on his project. I focused on mine as well. A set of bone armor was laid out on a bench in front of me. I used my fingers to start fixing the microscopic mistakes I had made during the forging process.
While I could make armor by manipulating my skeleton, it was one of my more draining techniques. And in the coming battle, I wouldn't have the time to take one of my life-saving medications.
"Hey Soren about that flexible alloy, just how flexible is it?" I looked over my shoulder, "Well what do you need it for, a weapon, a component in a larger machine." Instead of responding Franky handed me some schematics, "I was hoping with your knowledge of the body you might have some insight on how I can improve my parts?"
I looked at the plans drawn before looking back a Franky, "I think I have a few notes." Franky smiled and opened a hidden compartment in his shoulder taking out two bottles of cola, "Well then let's get to it, SUPER!"
