**Credit to the real owner of the cover photo** Lee Nana finds herself caught up in the middle of a drama she knows nothing about, when she accepts the request of her best friend to stand in for her as an hired girlfriend. She meets and falls in love with Kim Tan who happens to be her boyfriend's best friend unknowing to her, and drama ensues as different love triangles are formed. Lee Nana comes to find out that she isn't really who she thinks she is, and everyone around her is keeping one secret or the other from her. She gets to understand how one decision can change a person's life as well as those around her for the better... Or maybe for worse. ******** Tan locked eyes with her over his wineglass, she was pretty as sin. He wanted her, he wanted to take her right there. He could barely remember the last time he felt this strongly about any woman. What surprised him most was the fact that he didn't just want her body, he wanted her heart too. Most of the women he knew were all golddiggers, and he could get any of them between his sheets for the right price, so why the hell was this one proving stubborn? She shifted her gaze from his, "The wine is nice," She said smiling nervously, wanting to say anything to break the silence. She may be naive but she knew desire when she saw it, and she could see it written all over his eyes. The thought of it made her heartbeat quicken. 'You have a boyfriend, what are you doing letting yourself get attracted to this guy?' she asked herself. He could tell she was nervous, it made him smile. It reassured him to know he still had that effect on females, especially this one that roused everything in him. He reached across the table and placed his hand over her hand making her jump. He chuckled, "Calm down girl, I don't bite. you just look so nervous, I wanted to calm you down." He said, laughter dancing in his eyes. "I'd appreciate it if you keep your hands to yourself. I don't appreciate being touched randomly like that," She said with a frown. "I'm sorry, I'll try to let you know before I touch you next time," he said with a smile, making her know he intended to touch her again. "We'll be attending the wedding tomorrow with you as my date. I hope you won't jump up everytime I touch you. that would raise suspicion don't you think?" He said with a wicked glint in his eyes "Isn't that what this whole week has been about? You have nothing to worry about, I'll do it right. But until then keep your hands to yourself." She said with a polite smile. We'll see about that. Tan thought. That Couldn't Be Her, Right?

The driver arrived at Jin-A's house as instructed by Ji-Tae. He stood outside waiting for the butler, or whoever the man in the strictly ironed suit was, to inform Jin-A of his arrival.

He looked around the compound. There were fine-looking cars around, so why did he have to carry this car over to her place? The driver wondered angrily. In his opinion, rich people always had weird cravings; maybe she did not feel like driving in any of her cars today.

He didn't like that he was driving everyone around. He had agreed to be Ji-Tae's driver, not to drive different ladies about. The only lady he didn't mind driving about was Min-Jung. After all, she was going to be his madam very soon.

"You can come inside now," The man said, opening the door wide enough to let him in.

His brow furrowed. Come inside for what? He hadn't come to visit her, and he had been told to carry her somewhere, right?

He reluctantly entered the house and followed the butler as he led him into a vast, elegantly furnished room, stylishly decorated with well-knitted Russian rugs, which hung against the wall giving the room an ancient look in contrast to the modern furniture and appliances.

He just stood at the center of the room, looking around while wondering whether to sit or not. He asked what sort of lady lived here.

Jin-A opened the door quietly and saw him looking around, and she was glad he had been smart enough not to sit without permission. She knew how to deal with poor people like him, instill fear into them and show them little kindness.

She made a little sound to get his attention and almost laughed out loud at the manner in which he jumped.

He turned to look at her. She was beautiful, her face was moderately made up, and she was wearing a cream-colored pantsuit with a furry collar and a nice pair of black stilettos, or whatever it was that women called it.

"When you're done assessing me, do well to let me know," She said with haughty disdain as she sat down.

"Not at all, ma. I'm very sorry," He said, bowing his head in respect.

"Do you know who I am?" He asked, raising her right brow arrogantly.

"No, ma. I was asked to come over to your house by my boss," He said.

"Little wonder you were bold enough to look at me. I'll forgive you for your ignorance," She said.

"Thank you, ma," He said, wondering what kind of problem he was getting into. Who was she, and what the hell did she want? Was she going somewhere or not?

"I'm Jin-A, daughter of Governor Kang Moon-Soo," She said as a form of introduction and smiled as his eyes widened.

"How much is your salary?" She asked as she looked him up and down.

Why was she asking? Was she going to employ him or something? He wondered. It wouldn't be a bad idea to work for a Governor's daughter even though it seemed like she was full of herself.

He mentioned the price, and she smiled," What if I decide to double it?" She asked him.

"Just tell me when to resume, and I'll quit my job," He said without thinking twice.

"I love your enthusiasm. However, it would help if you didn't quit your job. I want you to put more effort into your job," She said with a sly smile.

He frowned slightly. "I don't understand," He said, his confusion evident.

"Sit down," She instructed, signaling the butler to serve them.

"I need you to tell me everything you can about your boss and his girlfriend, as well as his best friend, Tan... And I also want you to keep giving me information on everything that goes on with your boss. Do you understand?" She asked.

He didn't need to think much about it, and he was just confused about her relationship with his boss. If she was interested in his boss, then he would just have to switch his loyalty from Min-Jung to her... After all, she had more to offer than Min-jung did.

"Perfectly, ma," He said with a big smile as he gulped down the wine the butler had offered him. He couldn't believe his good fortune.

Min-Jung was having a good time and almost forgot the reality of her situation until she saw Nana's call.

"I want to ask you something kind of personal, and I hope you don't mind," Ji-Tae's mother said, interrupting her thoughts with a smile as she placed her hand lightly over Min-Jung's hand.

"Please feel free to ask me any question ma," Min-Jung said, smiling shyly. Jin-Tae's mother had been incredibly kind to her, so she had laid her guard down.

"What was Ji-Tae's initial reaction to your pregnancy?" She asked with the smile in place, but she could feel Min-Jung's hand stiffen under her own, and she could see her smile waver slightly.

Min-Jung didn't know how to respond, and she hadn't even asked Ji-tae how and why he had told his mother about the pregnancy. How was she supposed to respond to the question?

"You don't have to answer, you know? I was being curious, that's all." Ji-Tae's mother said, still smiling. Did he hire this lady to pretend to be his girlfriend? Why couldn't she answer such a simple question?

"He was over the moon with joy," Min-Jung said with her smile back in place. She was sure Ji-Tae was trying to back out of marrying the other lady. He couldn't have made it seem like he was marrying her just because of her pregnancy. She would have to take advantage of the whole situation. Suddenly, the peace of mind she was beginning to feel around Ji-Tae's mother was replaced with anxiety.

Min Jung was determined not to slip up.

"Oh, I see. So what do you do for a living, my dear? We've been so busy making small talk I haven't had the chance to know you," Ji-Tae's mother asked again, catching her off guard.

"Uhm, I'm a... I work at...." Min-Jung stuttered, laughing nervously. She really should have spoken with Ji-Tae before visiting his mother, and she had been so excited about meeting his mother that she had forgotten to ask him the most important questions.

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure whatever it is you do, you're doing just great at it," Ji-Tae's mother said, waving off the question with a smile.

Tsk tsk tsk, she had to get someone to look into this lady as soon as possible. Min-Jung, or whatever she said her name was... didn't seem like a straightforward person. She would have to get a private investigator to dig into her past and present life. Ji-Tae's mother thought.

**********

Mr. Lee dropped off Nana and Mi Cha at the house and drove off since Mi Cha wouldn't need his services for the remaining part of the day... There was no need after all since Mi Cha's elder bro was coming with his car.

Tan rechecked his phone to make sure he was at the correct address. This had to be it; the house didn't look so bad from the outside apart from the fact that it wasn't fenced; for security reasons, he would have to check the door and make inquiries about the neighborhood.

If the interior of the house seemed decent enough and he got good reports about the neighborhood, then he could skip the other places; he didn't have time to go about looking at various locations like it was an audition of some sort.

He stepped down from his car and raised his head to study the building; he noticed two ladies were on the rooftop. It even had a rooftop, an added advantage; Mi Cha would have to settle for this, he thought as he squinted to make out the figures.

He reached into his car to bring out his sunglasses, and after putting them on, he raised his hand to wave at Mi Cha to draw their attention to him, but he stopped halfway when he noticed the lady beside her.

His heart stopped for two seconds and started beating again, but very rapidly. That couldn't be her, right? His mysterious hired girlfriend couldn't possibly be Ji-Tae's Lee Nana... or could she?
