Declan had an embarrassed smile on his face when he asked Anne to accompany him.
"No! Forget what I said, I was just being a bit out of my mind." he said with a look of apology on his face as he slapped himself on the head bringing an amused smile on her face.
He laughed back slowly. But soon the atmosphere filled with an awkward silence again.
Just when he felt that she was leaving after nodding into his direction, he felt a strange loss and then took two hasty steps towards her but stopped when he realized he was being rude.
