The handwritten message read: Honey don't look up but there are camera's all through your apartment watching your every move. Go into the bathroom and sit down on the toilet like you're using it then wait ten seconds to open the letter. I have it on good authority that they look away when you use the toilet.

Cora couldn't believe what she was being told but couldn't discount it either. Jared had never made-up stories before. She pulled her pants down and held the letter by the wall near the floor as she counted to ten. She counted five more just to be sure then she ripped the envelope open and pulled a single sheet of paper out.
