Chapter 31

After remembering Dylan, Titania's eyes began to tear up. She missed him so much. She wanted to see him once again. She wondered where he was and how he was doing.

'Dylan, please come back to us. Please.' Her tears began to fall down her cheeks.

As they were traversing into the woods of Riverdale Forests, Dylan suddenly felt a drop of liquids sinking in his furs above him.

'Wait… is it raining?' Dylan wondered as he peered around his surroundings and to the night sky. But to his puzzlement, the sky was so clear tonight. It's not cloudy so there's no way that it would be raining tonight.

Then after a while, a realization came to him. 'Is Titania crying? Are those drops that I feel in my body her own tears?'

He wanted to make sure so Dylan suddenly stopped running. Titania was confused when Dylan did that. She wondered if something was wrong. She wiped her tears using her bare hands before asking him.

"Why did you stop? Did we reach our destination already?" Titania asked Dylan, clueless of the reason why he came to a halt.

Dylan kneeled on the ground, signaling Titania to get down from his back. He wanted to see her. He couldn't do that if she would stay riding his back. Fortunately, Titania understood his signal. She immediately got off his back.

Her eyes roamed around the surroundings but she couldn't see a single werewolf nor the hunter who was caught by the werewolves.

'How am I supposed to meet Ethan and Jeston here? How would I know if they are already here? I am worried about them. What if the werewolves already saw them and they got into a fight?'

Titania was busy thinking about Ethan and Jeston that she failed t notice that Dylan was already watching and observing her face. He could see her face clearly because of the moonlight. He saw her misty reddened eyes. He was right. Titania was crying a while ago.

When Titania averted her gaze to the werewolf in front of her, she saw him looking at her with his unreadable expression. Titania heaved a frustrated sigh. She wished she could also communicate with him and know what he was thinking.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Titania asked Dylan.

Dylan moved closer to Titania as he licked her face, wiping the remaining moist of her tears. Titania giggled when Dylan did that.

'Did he know that I cry? Was that the reason why he stopped? To check on me. He's a very thoughtful werewolf. I want to make him my friend.' Titania thought to herself while smiling inwardly.

"Are you worried about me that's why you stopped?" Titania asked him directly.

She heard him growl and bobbed his head up and down signifying that his answer was a 'yes.'

Titania smiled faintly, there was a glow of sadness in her eyes when she began to share with him the reason why she cried.

"Sorry for making you worry. I just couldn't help it. When I saw you I remembered my best friend. It's been a long time since the last time I saw him. I missed him so much. I want to see him so badly. I wonder if he is doing fine."

Dylan could hear the sadness in her voice. He could see the longing in her eyes. That's the same feeling he had for Titania when they got separated. He regretted not saying goodbye to her. He visited her several times in their pack village. But he couldn't show himself to her because he was afraid that once he did that then he won't be able to leave her side once again.

And now that Titania was closer to him like this, he could not resist it anymore. He could not bear to see her sad because of him. So finally, he decided to let her know that he was Dylan, her missing childhood best friend.

Dylan tugged Titania's hooded jacket with his sharp teeth.

"Hey, what are you doing? Are you trying to rip off my jacket?" Titania complained to him.

Dylan shook his head sideways to give her an answer which says a 'No'.

After a few seconds of thinking, Titania could somehow guess what he was trying to do. He wanted to borrow her jacket.

'Oh, does it mean he will shift into his human form so that he could talk to me?' Titania's face brightened up at that thought.

She immediately removed her jacket and handed it over to Dylan. He captured it using his teeth. Then he moved to the big tree that was one meter away from them.

Titania waited for him to come back. She was excited to see the human form of his savior. After a few minutes, she heard the footsteps coming in. The werewolf already transformed into its human form.

She stayed rooted in her spots as her eyes admired the extremely handsome man who was walking towards her. His upper body was naked. Her jacket was the only clothing that was covering the lower part of his body.

Titania's eyes widened. She swallowed hard as she feasted on the well-toned body of the man before him. He was looking good and very attractive with his raven-black hair, russet skin, and deep-set twinkling dark brown eyes.

'Oh Gosh, he's so hot and sexy.' Titania mumbled to herself while biting her lower lip.

When Dylan reached her spot, he quickly pulled Titania and trapped her into his arms, hugging her tightly. Titania was caught off guard by his sudden action. She literally froze on the spot. She didn't whether to push him away or not. Then her face reddened in a blush as her heart began to beat wildly inside her chest.

*Badum!* *Badum!*

Her heartbeat was very loud in her ears. 'Eh, I'm not scared but I'm nervous. And at the same time, I feel comfortable in his arms.'

"W-Who are you? W-What's your name?" Titania finally found her voice to ask him. But she stuttered because of nervousness.

She couldn't recognize him since she had not seen him for a very long time. Dylan's appearance changed a lot. He was not the sweet boy before. He matured so much but still, he was as handsome as ever.

"Tania… it's me… Dylan, your best friend."

Titania was rendered speechless after hearing that. She believed him. Dylan was the only person who was calling her Tania instead of Titania. Her heart raced even faster. She felt a storm of complicated emotions swirling inside her heart. Her brain was in a state of shock and disbelief. She didn't expect that the person who saved her tonight was indeed Dylan, her long lost best friend.

After Titania recovered from that shock she finally spoke up once again

"Every day I have always waited for your return. Every time I feel like giving up I will just keep thinking of you. After that, I would always feel better. Why did you leave us?" She was happy and at the same time upset with him that's why she immediately ranted on him. She pushed him away from her body.

Titania smiled at him bitterly. She couldn't stop herself from shedding her tears. Then she felt the warm hands of Dylan, caressing her face as he wiped away her tears.

Dylan looked at her helplessly, feeling guilty for making her cry. "Don't cry, Tania. Now, I am here beside you. I will not leave you again. I will always protect you."

After saying those words, Dylan pulled Titania against his body and giving her another rib-crushing hug. This time Titania didn't push him away.

But Titania was a little bit taken aback by his action. She could now feel his strong hard chest against her soft body. Not getting any resistance from her, Dylan's lips twitched into a gentle smile, feeling her warmth. They remained silent and hugging each other for several minutes.

After only God knew how long, Dylan finally released her. Then he bent down and planted a soft kiss on Titania's forehead.

"I missed you so much, my dearest Tania."
