Chapter 76

RJ threw his towel on the pile of clothes and rushed to grab clean socks and underwear from the dresser. His uniform shirt and tie hung on the valet. He grabbed the pressed pants that hung on the valet and walked out to the living room they had as he eyed the Keurig they got last year for Christmas. He sat on the brown leather couch as he put on his clothes. He started with socks, underwear, pants, then belt, tucking his shirt as he next tried to knot his tie. He realized he hadn’t shaved but he didn’t have time for that.

Or coffee.

He’d have to grab that on the plane. He rushed out the door and was in his VW Tiguan before he knew it. As he started his car, he opened up the console and fished for his airport, airline badge and his nametag. He quickly shut off the radio. He wasn’t ready to hear NPR this morning or any global disaster that was impending that the media wanted to sensationalize. Instead, his focus was making it to the Orlando airport on time.
