C89 Vendetta: Shadow Of The Reaper

Zhang Wei surveyed the chaos, his expression grim.

"Looks like someone went on a rampage. Let's see what the witnesses have to say."

They approached the group of police officers who were taking statements from the shaken nightclub patrons. One officer, a young man named Officer Chen, hurried over to brief them.

"Detectives, it's a mess in there,"

Officer Chen said, his face pale.

"Witnesses are saying a giant of a man, covered in a hood, stormed in and started killing people with his bare hands."

Li Na raised an eyebrow.

"A giant? How big are we talking?"

"At least seven feet tall,"

Officer Chen replied.

"Some said he looked like he was built like a tank."

Zhang Wei exchanged a look with Li Na.

"Alright, let's hear it from the witnesses directly."

They moved over to a small group of survivors, who were still visibly shaken. A young woman with a cut on her forehead was speaking to another officer.

"Ma'am, can you tell us what you saw?"

Li Na asked gently.

The woman nodded, her eyes wide with fear.

"It was... it was like something out of a nightmare. This huge man, he just walked in and started killing people. He didn't use a gun at first. He just... killed them with his bare hands."

"His bare hands?"

Zhang Wei repeated, trying to hide his shock.

"Yes,"

The woman continued, her voice trembling.

"He killed the guards at the entrance first. One of them had a knife, the other a gun. He just tore out one man's throat and... and killed the other one with his own knife."

Another witness, a man with a bandaged arm, spoke up.

"He moved so fast. One second he was there, the next he was gone. He shot some of the other guards, but when he ran out of bullets, he used his fists and whatever weapons he could find."

Li Na and Zhang Wei exchanged a glance. This was unlike anything they had ever encountered truthfully they had the thought that witnesses were high as f*ck because what they described sounded like an anti-hero script straight out from m*rvels.

"Did anyone see his face?"

Zhang Wei asked.

A third witness, a middle-aged man with a shaky voice, shook his head.

"No, he kept his hood up the whole time. But his eyes... I saw his eyes. They were cold, like he didn't care about anything or anyone and they glowed bloodred and ice blue like a beats from hell"

Li Na turned to officer Chen.

"Have we recovered any footage from inside the club?"

Officer Chen shook his head.

"No, Detective I do not know how he did It but his presence was completely erased from any footage It's like watching a ghost horror movie"

The man shuddered from fright he was one hundred percent positive that he would have nightmares for the foreseeable future.

"He... what?"

Li Na muttered In disbelief.

"Alright, let's secure the scene and get forensic teams in here. We need to find out who this guy is and why he did this."

As they moved inside the nightclub, the full extent of the carnage became apparent. Bodies lay scattered across the floor, blood pooling around them. The smell of death was overpowering.

"Forensics are going to have a field day with this,"

Zhang Wei said, trying to maintain his composure.

Li Na nodded, her eyes scanning the room.

"This wasn't random, he was clearly only after the gang members, but the question Is why?"

The detectives worked tirelessly, gathering evidence and interviewing more witnesses. The story was consistent: a giant of a man, moving with lethal precision, leaving a trail of bodies in his wake.

Minutes later, as the sun began to rise, Li Na and Zhang Wei stood outside the club, looking over their notes.

"Whoever he is, he's dangerous,"

Zhang Wei said.

Li Na nodded.

"Yeah extremely to the point It feels unreal I mean this is real life right?"

They watched as the forensics team loaded the last of the bodies into the coroner's van. The nightclub was now a crime scene, a stark reminder of the violence that had erupted there.

"Let's get back to the station and start piecing this together,"

Li Na said.

"We need to find this guy before he decides to go on another killing spree."

Just as they were about to leave, a young police officer ran towards them, his face pale and eyes wide with fear.

"Detectives! You need to come quickly,"

He panted.

"A high-ranking p*litician and his son were just assassinated at their mansion."

Li Na and Zhang Wei exchanged grim looks before sprinting to their car.

"Tell us what happened on the way,"

Zhang Wei ordered as they jumped into the vehicle. The officer quickly filled them in.

"It happened about thirty minutes ago. The p*litician, Mr. Lei, was in his mansion with his son. They were both found dead. The forensic team is already there. It looks like the shots came from a long distance—maybe a kilometer away."

Li Na's mind raced. Two major incidents in one night. This couldn't be a coincidence.

As they arrived at the mansion, they were greeted by a flurry of activity. Uniformed officers, forensics teams, and shocked family members crowded the scene.

The sprawling estate was cordoned off, and the once-quiet night was shattered by the sounds of sirens and urgent voices.

Detective Li Na and Zhang Wei hurried towards the entrance, where they were met by the lead forensic investigator, Dr. Liu.

"Detectives,"

Dr. Liu greeted them with a somber expression.

"It's bad. Both Mr. Lei and his son were killed instantly. The rounds came from an extremely large caliber sniper rifle, fired from at least a kilometer away. Precision shots, both to the head and... and they seemed to be high explosive rounds"

"J*sus,"

Zhang Wei muttered.

"Any idea where the shooter could have been?"

Dr. Liu nodded.

"We traced the trajectory. The shots were fired from the rooftop of a twenty-story building about a kilometer south of here. We're sending a team to investigate."

Li Na looked around the crime scene, taking in the distraught family members and the shocked expressions of the staff.

"Whoever did this is highly skilled. Two precise kills from such a distance... this wasn't just a random hit."

Zhang Wei nodded.

"Let's check out the building and see if we can find any evidence."

As they made their way to the rooftop of the building, the detectives were met by officer Chen, who was already on the scene. He pointed to the most likely shooting position yet all they could find were the residual traces of gunpowder.

"Looks like the shooter set up here,"

Officer Chen said.

"He had a perfect view of the mansion."

Li Na examined the scene, her mind racing.

"This was a professional hit. The nightclub massacre and now this... it's escalating."

Zhang Wei nodded, his expression grim.

"But why Mr. Lei? And why his son?"

Li Na sighed.

"We need to dig into Mr. Leis connections. Anyone who might have a motive. We need to find out who would benefit from his death."

As they gathered evidence, Li Na couldn't shake the feeling that they were dealing with a highly organized and ruthless individual. The precision, the planning, the cold-blooded execution—it all pointed to a single conclusion.

"We're dealing with a professional,"

She said aloud.

"Someone from special forces or even black ops."

Zhang Wei nodded.

"And someone who's not afraid to get his hands dirty. We need to find out who this guy is and stop him before he strikes again."

The detectives continued to gather evidence, their determination growing with each passing moment. They knew they were up against a formidable opponent, but they also knew they couldn't rest until they brought him to justice.
