Chapter 12
“André will be there about seven thirty. Where will he find you?”
“I’ll meet him on the steps in front of the dorm.”
“Fine. See you soon. And Ted?”
“Yeah?”
“I’m really glad you took me up on my offer to help.”
“Okay, yeah, uh…thanks. Bye.” Ted hung up and stood, staring at the phone.
“What did he have to say?” Charlie asked, turning from his books to look at Ted.
“He’s sending a car to get me so we can talk.”

Ted stood on the dorm steps and looked up. A long, black limousine pulled up to the curb. Ted checked his wristwatch—7:29. He was impressed. Several dorm residents were either entering or exiting the building. There was a buzz about what the limo was doing there. Ted slowly and self-consciously walked down the steps. This couldn’t be for him. Trace said he’d send a car, not a…”
“Ted?” the driver called out, exiting the vehicle.
“Yeah, that’s me “ Ted answered.
“I’m André. Trace sent me.”
