Her Crawling Nightmare
Creak.
The sound of the washroom being opened entered Heisuke's hearing, bringing him back from his deep thoughts. With a slight turn of his head, his gaze caught the sight of Hisaki walking toward him.
Hisaki wore a new night dress. It was light yellow in color with cute prints of flowers and cats all over the fabric. The hem fell just above her knees while the sleeves draped reaching her elbows. Her fair skin was a bit red because she had just come out of the shower.
"Have some hot tea?" Heisuke gestured at the pot of tea he had brewed, "Let's sit in the living room?"
"...okay," answered Hisaki, still appearing a bit distracted. The swelling of her eyes had receded but not so much.
Heisuke carried a small tray of the teapot and two cups to the living room. He placed them down on the low table where they used to have meals together.
