"Enough!" The baritone was accompanied with a slap to her legs, "you've made enough trouble. It's still so early. What are you looking for in someone else's home?"
Lu Feng had been pushed to the ground by Dong Mei when she jumped onto her. Her clothes were soiled and her bottom hurt from the impact. The pain fogged her mind, making her want to finish the fight.
She looked up to see Cang Mang slap Dong Mei's legs as he instructed her to calm down. She wondered where he had come from and when he arrived.
"Put her down, let me teach her," Lu Feng was still looking for a fight.
Cang Mang clicked his tongue with slight ridicule, "if any of you can defeat me in a fight, then I'll allow you to fight so we can see the ultimate winner."
"Why are you helping her? She clearly came here asking for trouble. I'm only giving her what she wants," Lu Feng asked, unreconciled.
"I promised a brother days of peace as long as I live. If you want to cause commotion, look for her next time in a place that isn't the Bai residence, otherwise, you'll have to face me first," Cang Mang replied.
Lu Feng recalled that aside from a set of gifts for the wedding, Cang Mang had offered Bai Yangwei and his bride his protection. It had seemed like a by the way at that moment but currently, it was particularly useful.
Having gained understanding, Lu Feng put aside her grievances for later and let Cang Mang handle the issue.
"If there are no more qualms, I'll take this one away," he turned and left, leaving Lu Feng to pick herself off the ground when she felt the need to.
Dong Mei was still being unruly. For every time she screamed to see Bai Yangwei, or made any commotion, Cang Mang gave her another hit on her legs. They might have seemed quite light but were actually pretty painful, especially when she received them in succession.
"STOP! STOP! STOP HITTING ME OR ELSE I'LL CUT OFF THAT HAND!" Dong Mei threatened after being hit for the tenth time.
The madness in her eyes had been replaced with irritation. She hated the fact that Cang Mang was hitting her as though she were a little problem child that needed a bit of disciplining. As she was a fully grown woman, at her age, even her parents wouldn't hit her.
Cang Mang hit her legs again, "I don't know," he said with a chuckle, " I quite like it. I could get used to it."
"PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW!" Dong Mei ordered.
Cang Mang tsked, "so that you can go back to the Bai residence and cause trouble. Dream on."
Dong Mei was used to being picked up that way by Cang Mang. Every time he had found her about to conspire in some way, he would flip her over his shoulder and take her away from the main couple.
She hated it.
"Where are you taking me?" Dong Mei's voice was lowered but the sharp hatred in it was still penetrating.
"To a place," he said gleefully, "you'll soon see."
"Put me down! Why would I want to go anywhere with you?" Dong Mei continued to struggle.
Cang Mang chuckled telling her to settled down, "you're looking for a man so enthusiastically. I will fulfill you."
"Ah!" Dong Mei directly screamed and struggled even more, "you! Let me go."
Cang Mang spoke with a bit of confusion, "you don't make any sense. Do you like to be beaten? Otherwise, why would you cause so much trouble knowing that you will be hit for it?"
Dong Mei immediately settled down. She didn't want to submit but with how stubborn Cang Mang was, he would surely continue to torture her. In the end, the only one suffering would be her.
After a short walk in silence, Cang Mang asked, "you're not speaking anymore?"
"Put me down! What more do you want me to say?" Dong Mei said blandly
"I want you to show me where it itches, so that I can find the right man to solve it for you."
"CANG MANG!"
He laughed generously, "if you whisper, I will still hear."
Dong Mei hadn't realized how far they had walked or where they were going when Cang Mang finally spoke, "I'm going to put you down, you had better not cause any trouble."
Dong Mei sneered, "dare to slight me and see whether I don't cause trouble."
She was already aware of his strength. She wouldn't ever win even if she tried to escape. So she knew exactly how helpless she was but she was as stubborn as ever and wouldn't back down easily.
"With all the things you've done, it's not slight, it's simply justice," Cang Mang said seriously.
He flipped her off his shoulder onto the ground.
A vast green field graced her sights. The sun was not too hot and birds flew gracefully along the gentle wind.
A movement in her peripheral vision cause her to turn and she happened to catch Cang Mang taking off his shirt. He remained only in a pair of loose pants.
Dong Mei immediately raised her fists up protectively, "you! What are you taking your clothes off for?"
She threatened loudly but inwardly, she compared his thick muscle with her flimsy arms and was sure that her knees were weakened in fear. The chances that she would win against him were clearly zero.
"You stained my shirt. Haven't you noticed the dirt on you?" He asked back.
Dong Mei suddenly recalled the bucket of rubbish that had been thrown at her earlier and looked down at her stained dress.
"Uh!" was the only response she gave at that moment as she dropped her hands.
She recalled how frenzied she had been. She had wanted nothing but to look at Bai Yang Wei's face at that moment. And she would have done everything it took to see him
