Unexpected (ch.4)

Meeting his brother after 5 years made Mikaela miss him alot. She kept on hugging him, asking to stay longer.

"Lia, how are you? I see you've grown taller.." He smiled, patting her head gently.

"Yes, I tried tons of sports when you left." She replied.

*Click *Clack

The maid from before was holding a large tray full of sweets and tea.

"Master Harvey, Lady Mikaela." She slowly placed the tray onto a table covered in gold and left.

Harvey and Mikaela thanked her.

Continuing their conversation.

Their small chats took longer than expected.

FLASHBACK

The Choi family was well known when it comes to businesses. Because of their smart and talented children, the business grew larger turning it into one of the biggest corporation in Korea.

Oneday, the Tora corporation which has a close relationship with the Choi family felt threatened by their growing power.

Soon they planned an unexpected event that changed Mikaela and Harvey's life completely.

A once happy family suddenly grew apart that very day.

"Mother." Young Mikaela called.

Her mother kneeled infront of her caressing her tiny cheek.

"Me and your father will be going on a trip tonight." She gently said.

Her father walked towards them placing his hands on his knees infront of Mikaela.

"Sweetheart, your mom and I have something to fix in Dubai." He added.

"Yes~ do you....?" her mother teasingly smiled.

"Perhaps want a gift when we return?" Her mother added.

The couple glanced at each other and smiled.

"Anything?" Young Mikaela asked.

They looked back at her and replied.

"Anything." They both answered.

"Then...."

She asked for something, but can't remember what it is.

A few hours later after their parents left. The sound of thunder echoed around the spacious mansion.

*RUMBLE *BOOM

Scaring the young Mikaela, she immediately searched for her older brother.

The moment she arrived, attempting to reach the bronse door knob. She suddenly stopped, after hearing the voice of a woman and her brother, exchanging words to each other in the middle of the night.

"My brother's talking to someone, *Places her ear near the wooden door* Maybe his girlfriend?" She curiously listened.

Her voice was too old for his brother, making Mikaela more curious. But suddenly....

She heard an unexpected news.

"Young master...The mistress and the master.." She continued to speak, making Mikaela shock.

*BOOM *RUMBLE

The bright lighting reflected her stunned eyes for a short moment. Her eyes began to blur, and ears suddenly stopped functioning.

*RUMBLE

The loud rumbles slowly disappeared.

*BAM

The sound of falling reached Harvey's ears.

As he opened the door, he saw young Mikaela having a seizure. Laying at the cold carpeted floor.

"LIA!" He panickly shouted.

Immediately grabbing her and running outside.

"FETCH THE CAR!" He shouted.

Due to that, a few parts of her memories went missing.
